    2:02:46 Panthers Pick Off Brady Controversy
    Riding a five game winning streak, the upstart 2013 Panthers were locked into a Monday night matchup against perennial Super Bowl contender, the New England Patriots. With just under a minute remaining in the fourth quarter Panthers quarterback Cam Newton found Ted Ginn Jr. for a 25-yard touchdown that would give the Panthers the 24-20 victory. The Monday night game would serve as a test for Carolina as it showed their 6-3 start to 2013 was not a fluke, and their strong core of Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly would be a duo to look out for in the coming years.

      He's a big reason I started loving football again. I would have been 22 and grew up a lions fan in 2010. The years 2010 to 2015 were so so great. Even guys like Matt Ryan, Joe flacco and Jay Cutler were making teams competitive. Seeing cam go from auburn to Carolina still playing and being the same person made football so fun again. It also helped that the lions finally had some real teams. But those early to mid 2010s cam was as good as anyone

    Cam Newton is Legend! Great win for Cam and one of the reasons that Traditionalists, including the front office, made 2016-17 player-personnel changes to stop Cam's QB dominance and Trailblazing in the the pros--but not before Cam became MVP and #1 Player of the nfl. Cam is truly Cam Newton!

    • @nickdarr7328
      @nickdarr7328 Год назад

      Cam newton's one of the main reasons my love for football was reignited. I was born in 88 and grew up a lions fan so it was real easy to get discouraged and stop caring about football. But watching him at Auburn then Stafford going to Detroit and cam going to a team that was also a pretty big loser franchise all around 2010 to 2012 really made football from again. Oh and my second favorite was 49ers because of Steve Young. That early 2010s was great for all those teams and a lot of other ones like Denver Baltimore Steelers Seahawks and unfortunately Packers. Man 2010 to 2015 was beautiful and cam was just as good as anyone including Mannings, Rodgers, Wilson and Brady. Cam was the next evolution of big Ben style guys that Josh Allen and Daniel Jones want to emulate.

      I'm a Panthers fan that thinks CMC may one day be one of the best double threat halfbacks in the games history, but Steve Smith could change a games dynamic just by being on the field in a way CMC can't. That man played with heart and grit that CMC doesn't and that's why Steve Smith is more desirable than CMC in my opinion

      Greysen G. Yes but if Greg Hardy weren’t such a monster of a person and stayed with us and played like this against Denver, I find it hard to believe they would’ve allowed Peyton to score a point. The only thing that kept us from being an all-time defense that year was that lack of a consistent pass rush. That’s why Atlanta beat us and why teams like Seattle and New York nearly came back and beat us.

    The thing about the 2013 Panthers I love rewatching, is their D front. 60 SACKS. Greg Hardy was All Pro Level, Johnson had a career year. It was just awesome. If the 2015 Panthers had the 2013 DLine; the Broncos offense in the SB would have looked alot like then the 2013 Version that the Seahawks swarmed on. 2015 Panthers D line was very good too, Manning was sacked 5 times; but 60 sacks in 2013; the #1 team in sacks is usually at 53; 60 sacks is way more then D fronts as famous as the 2015 Broncos; 2013 Seahawks; 2002 Bucs. Im not saying they'd win but it would have been a 7-3 final score kind of game.

    Okay, all of you people trying to say that it was pass interference on Luke Kuechly. You would be right but the ball was intercepted for underneath and therefore it was uncatchable. So the call would be negated. Not to mention, if we're going to talk about a call that cost New England the game. What about that no call on that leg whip on Charles Johnson that could've cost that man his CAREER? The football gods have a way of making things even.

    • @Thechosenskywalker

      Thats a horroble analogy trying to compare a penalty thay cost a TEAM A GAME, and a penalty that ENDS SOMEONES CAREER

    • @mjaynes288
      @mjaynes288 Год назад

      I have never before or after seen a ball intercepted that close to a reciever called uncatchable. The rule says "clearly uncatchable" and I do not think anything was clear. I believe the officials huddled up and decided anything they did after the flag was thrown would get them in hot water. If they enforced the penalty the Carolina fans might riot. They did not announce the reason for picking up the flag on the field or to Brady walking off. In essence they only came out with an explanation in essence after the fact in essence. In essence if game was played in NE the call would have been different in essence.

    Brady has historically been a very good pocket-passer so long as the O and D lines are on point, but Brady is afraid to take a hit. Cam ushered in the day of the O/D/Run QB, which was a whole new standard that threatened to unhinge the QB position. The result is now apparent in 2016-17 as the "powers that be" forced changes to "Stop Cam Newton" by any means necessary. Still, what Cam has already accomplished as a QB cannot be undone. It's all TELEVISED!
