Hi from Downunder in Australia!!! I love, Love, LOVE hanging with you in the allotment. It's all trial and error and fun working it all out. I watch you with a warm brew in hand in my backyard (my equivilent of an allotment!!!) And it's all "Cool beans " as they say... Super glad that you decided to invite us to join you in the great outdoors and thankyou for so much entertainment, joy and a whole lotta fun. 😉😄🥰😘
I love the decision you made with the new pathway - In the USA I believe we have something similar to allotments but they are referred to as Community Gardens - Bok choy is a Chinese cabbage that can be eaten raw in salads or cooked in soups, stir fry's, fillings and in dumplings and spring rolls - Sarah I love your allotment because it reminds me of your smaller scale marvels when you do your lovely crafts from your mudlark finds
The lavender is alive but needs a trim. They die off and come back to flower. Trim the dead heads and the dry dead wood ends off to give it another chance. The Bok Choi is a Chinese cabbage, good for stews, soups and noodle dishes.
All the rain we've had over the last week or so has made the ground so easy to dig up and plant stuff - I've planted about 20 plants into my borders in the back and front gardens I did a group of 8 lavenders a mixture of Hidcoat and Munster they're only a couple of inches tall hopefully I'll have a nice big patch next year - don't have an allotment but grew tomatoes peas and strawberries - have some young apple and pear trees and 3 blueberry bushes - love your hand made signs ❤️ good idea to make a path there 👍 the plot looks really tidy 🌿🌿🌿
Watching you from Sydney, Australia. We don't have allotments, but I do have a small backyard garden. I enjoy watching you get stuck in and give things a go. Our seasons are opposite to yours though, so I'm always doing the opposite to you. Lol. Your plot is looking great!
I always over seeded! You do as you see fit Love! 💗 I never grew many veggies, I always planted perennials so they took care of themselves year after year. I grew flowers and greenery! Now I live in a forest region, and haven’t got into planting the gardens! Maybe next year!
Looking great Sarah - if you cut back that lavender and it'll hopefully come away again (the old one, not the one you planted today). I'm loving the cabbages as well - giants! I'm inspired so just going out to plant my snow peas and tomatoes!
Lovely to see how much of your allotment has grown. You are really keeping up with it and it looks fantastic! I can’t tell you how much, I appreciate and enjoy your videos. Keep up the amazing work you are doing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Sarah, your allotment is looking really nice. Can't wait to see more veggies come out for you and friends to enjoy. Great job. Water your lavender 💜. It's getting a bit dry.
@@sarahsallotmentjourney I am stuck living in Canada but I am born and raised in England, Newcastle actually so your accent and that it's British, soothes my soul
I always go for high waisted for that exact reason 😜I like them slabs good idea , you could put some low growing herbs like Thyme , Camomile lemon balm . They would smell nice as you walk over them . I’m watching from Cornwall .
Hi Sarah, just to say you should take that half dead lavender out it will not improve but will just die, they don’t regrow from old wood, there a Mediterranean plant and need lots off sun and not to much water. When the flowers on your new one start to fade just nip off the tops a few inches but not into old wood. Hope this helps. 😊
Sarah, I'm from Kentucky in USA and I watch all of your videos on all your different channels. It's true we don't have allotments here and I didn't even know what it was till I Googled it. You get me tickled sometimes without even trying. Love all your videos!! I think you all are good people!!!! PS. I can't believe you don't eat any veggies. Is there any at all that you do enjoy? Will you be doing craft videos again come cold weather?
Sarah, may I ask about the little burner you have to make your tea..what kind is it or where did you get it....I get hurricanes where I live in Eastern Canada and sometimes no power for days and I am an avid tea drinker (born and raised in England, Newcastle) . No matter what happens during the hurricane or afterwards, it's the cup of tea that keeps us going, to have one first thing as you wake up, could have no rood but that tea will get me through...lol
Your Allotment is looking good. I think that was a good idea with the little short cut path. You could make a scarecrow, hang some wind chimes too may keep the magpies and other critters from bothering your veggies and sown seeds. Also talking about girl stuff doesn't bother me lol it's just me my wife and daughter Gwendolyn
Hi Sarah, your videos confuse me as you always seem to be sowing seeds at odd times. Do you film a couple of months prior to editing and releasing? If so it would be helpful to beginners if you could say at the start of the video when you are filming. Cheers. Happy gardening :-)
