At the beginning King Regis wasn't simply trying to be a good father as he sees his son off to his wedding. He knew that he was never going to see his son again as he knew of the upcoming attack, he sent him away so that he would live and he was trying to say goodbye and give his son his last piece of fatherly advice before he dies. It was supposed to be a formal goodbye and the King was supposed to play along so his son never realised something was amiss but broke that character to say his goodbye. This is why Noctis acts awkward about it as that was totally unusual and unexpected. "Walk tall my son"
XV was so much more than the flaws i loved that game so much and put well over 1000 hours into it the only unforgettable thing it did to me is that Square Enix never properly finished i will never see Square Enix in the same light again after that despite Final Fantasy being my favorite franchise
@@AtmuxSO many games could have been amazing and big if square enix believed in them😭 some games like the world ends with you and even guardians of the galaxy are all amazing and square enix kinda abandoned them lol
Missing the point of the car rides… The world IS massive and there IS a lot of stuff to do and see out there. You are meant to use that time observe the world like you would if you were driving through a new place in the real world. See something in the distance that catches your eye and hop out to go explore. Then once you have been there you CAN fast travel there so your point is kind of invalid. Oh and spoiler alert! If you play through a certain series of side quests, you can upgrade your car to be able to drive off-road making traversal a lot more entertaining.
I just started this video and will watch it entirely, but the most memorable moments of this game for me: Music Leviathan fight The campfire scene before the end, "I'm gonna miss you guys" lowkey broke me at the time
From its beginnings as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and all the canceled DLC, there was so much potential for this game, but I still love it very much for what has been officially released. I feel like this title is quickly misunderstood by other people and turn away from how good it actually is. Like the combat for example where most people at face value described it as "hold attack button to attack" when there's so much more to it like airstep combos and weapon switching
It's implied in the main game, though missable detalogs and the he talks that bahamut is the true bad and the true ending is actually in the book that was supposed to be the rest of the DLC.
This video deserves more views holy. I'm listening to the video as I'm playing another game because I kinda miss this game and I just finished Crisis Core reunion (It made me sad so im coping). Also the dungeons in ff15 are scary as hell in my HUMBLE opinion.
Another thing, I enjoyed the more realistic parts of this game because I think most games these days people speed-run and grind hard almost stress to go through and stuff. So I think the car mechanics were fine and refreshing.
Haha thanks. I played Crisis Core for the first time and it was such a gut punch 🤣 The dungeons in ff15 were definitely daunting to go through but so satisfying to beat.
You know him and noctis were pitching tents all night. I took a super gay photo i took of the group into the final dungeon sequence....glad i got to show lunafreya my true colors.
I even thought Noctis and Sarah in the aide quest had far more chemistry than him and Luna, that's sad 😂 but yes, Promptis for the win! And IgnisXGladio!
It’s so nice to see people enjoy this game, some enemies scared tf outta me so I stopped playing when it initially came out. Currently playing through and enjoying it so much with the Royal edition.
Something people often overlook I think, is the common undertone in Final Fantasy games that for light to exist, Darkness must also exist in equal measure. The balance being thrown either way, inevitably leads to the other becoming more powerful by necessity. Arden was cursed, not because he was really evil, but because they needed a powerful evil to wipe out the line of Lucis and he was in a way, a victim of his own success.
You have a chance to recover if you know what you're doing but if you know the combat and how it works you wont take that much damage while looking great doing it. I have replayed the game multiple times, and I am still in love with the game. Just sad that they canceled the Noctis and Luna DLCs that would've changed everything. It isnt perfect and FF7 remake has better combat yet I always find myself going back to 15.
Small correction: The "Final Fantasy was their last chance" is not true. It's one of those stories that became popular because it kept being told and retold but has been debunked by Sakaguchi multiple times.
I definitely liked the game and would have loved to see the DLC they had planned with Bahamut as the main villain but I understand why it didnt happen. SE tried to make this whole universe around XV. Movies, anime....random side games and it just wasnt it. This is why Yoshi P made sure XVI is done completely and smooth. (I know its not out yet but its known at this point the game has been done and they've just been polishing it) I loved XV but recognized all its flaws, most of which stemmed from bad business decisions and greed. Big story heavy dlcs preplanned with those plots removed and making us miss big chunks of story? Lame choice to do.
Bahamut was the final boss of the multiplayer dlc, but nobody played that dlc so no one knows 🤣. I agree though ff15 was just way too ambitious for a game. Hopefully ff16 won't make the same mistakes.
After I finished FF VII Remake and Rebirth, a friend recommended XV to me. And I have to say that the 15 has grown on me even more than any other part I've played. I love open world, the battle system (I don't use the waitmode) and I don't even need to start with the Regalia (Type D). And the OST gave me chills. Especially “Apocalypse Noctis” When I think of FFVII's graphics, the wall jpg of Midgar is always the first thing that comes to mind. In the 15th, everything is "alive" up to the horizon and the day-night cycle also brings in dynamism. And I also particularly like the little things, such as Noctis getting dirty from fighting and fishing, or his hairstyle no longer being neat due to the rain. I also like the dynamic between the guys more. In the 7, I'm particularly bothered by the whining and pushy nature of Tifa's character. The story of 15 is a bit confusing, I don't want to contradict that, but since I know or have all the media around, I can figure out the connections. The story of 7 is largely known, but now the changes make the story more complicated for players who know the original. Since I've found Zack to be my favorite FFVII character since Crisis Core, I'm naturally very excited to see how he fits into the whole story. All in all, I'm really looking forward to the third part of the 7. But the 15 will probably remain number one for me for the time being.

Only way to really describe this game is: conflicted. The base game is flawed, but that runs in conflict with the full game with the dlc, but this runs in conflict with the Dawn of the New Future story, which conflicts entirely with the poignant themes of the original game. Truly one of the worst games to become emotionally involved with due to how schizophrenic it is tone and vision wise.
