Mine said SWITCH controller, but still worked in Window-7. Got to remember to flip the button on the back to "PC".

I used Zadig with the "Dobe" GC adapter and it didn't work... then I reset the driver, still searching for a solution (no tutorials found)
I got it!!! Just worked without Zadig as a Normal Controller (the dolphin "GC adapter" option is useless for the DOBE adapter)

hey, to answer your question. Go to devices and printers. There, right click Wup-2.. and select remove device. Then just unplug it and plug it back in

Mine isn't showing up as WUP-028, its showing up as GameCube For Switch, and the adapter isn't working. What should I do? (I found a switch on the back of my adapter that I switched to "PC" then my device is showing up as GameCube Controller Adapter.)
You always have to use the Switch/Wii U mode, even if youre on PC.
and if WUP never shows, it means u have to switch adapters.

So I have been dying to be able to play Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask on my emulator (OpenEmu) in my Macbook and I have it up and running. I would love to be able to play this game with a gamecube controller. Would this work for me?

the mayflash adapter is the best adapter to get...
it even has built in PC support Via the Nintendo made switch on it *ba dum tss* that Switches it between Wii U mode and PC mode (it's labelled on it I'm sure)

It doesn't work, every time I try to install it it says "The driver installation failed" and at the bottom it says "Driver installation: FAILED (Could not allocate resource)". Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
I dont know if your still having issues 9 months later, but my suggestions would be to:
A. Make sure you have the adapter selected
B. Restart your computer after installation and run it as an Admin.
C. Check if the program is up to date (Revisit the site and download the latest version.)
As it should work flawlessly as long as you followed the video

I've been scrolling and havent seen anyone mention this, but Dolphin detects my adapter up until I start playing a game... then it constantly switches from detected and undetected like someone is plugging and unplugging it nonstop. I'm not sure what I did wrong
Found a fix so I'll leave this here for anyone thinking the same. Use one of the more recent beta versions of Dolphin and then follow the video and it'll work.

My gamecube controller still won't work with the dolphin emu.. I'm using the mayflash adapter and have it all plugged in.. I also installed the driver already.. everything was working similar to the video until it came time to actually play the games
put it on wii u mode instead of pc

I got the adaptor installed specifically for double dash and when i go to play the game the bumper buttons aren't configured correctly and the left analogue acts as if im trying to drift whenever i turn. any ideas? (ive used two different controllers.)
Reconfigure your controls in dolphin.
yeh problem was for the longest time it wouldnt pick them up on vjor or anything only automatically through dolphin ive got it all fixed now but it toook forever to get it working correctly

it installs a driver on your pc, not the adapter.

I have the same issue, it's because you probably have the nyko retro controller adapter, and from all the research ive done so far, it only works on the switch :/

Instead of the WUP-028 file, it shows the Gamecube Controller Adapter, and it doesn't work when I replace that as the driver.
Also, what if you want to use two controllers?

Supposedly it will, but I myself haven't been able to get PJ64 to recognize that it's even a valid USB device that's plugged into my PC; It sees my T.16000M, and that's it. No 'GameCube Controller Adapter' listed as a controller source.

Guys if your Adapter has the option to choose between "Switch/Wii U" and "PC" on the back, you have to use the "Switch/Wii U" one.
If your controller then still shows as "Gamecube Controller Adapter" in Zadig, you sadly have to get a new adapter
