Last week I had three cans, all purchased on the same afternoon, but from two different vendors. Form 4s submitted same day. Approvals on all three came back together, in 1 day, 15 hours, and 15 minutes. But whose counting? 😊
did you do the forms yourself or did you do it through silencer shop?
@@NoMemes4You all three cans were purchased locally from dealers with stock on hand, however both are also SilencerShop preferred dealers and so we processed everything through SilencerShop account. . .

My friend group has had tier cans come back within in two weeks or less…this was all the confirmation I needed. I’ve ordered two cans myself.
Ordered mine and got it within 2 weeks… Crazy indeed! A buddy of mine ordered his on Friday April 5th and got it Wednesday April 10th
The form 3 for mine just got approved today and I order 3/16. Unfortunately, the store I purchased from isn’t the easiest to deal with. I have to go in next week to certify the form 4.
Sounds like they said, “can’t beat em, so just make em happy”

I'm at 45 days and counting. SilencerShop ordered.
My Form 1’s in the past year and even as recent as several weeks ago have come back in 2 weeks on my Trust. My Form 4’s in the past were taking about 10 months on my Trust but I had a batch approval of 6 of them where some were only in the queue a month. My most recent Form 4 on my trust came back after 2 months and that was filed in January
Certified 2 individual form 4 suppressors on 3/18. One was approved yesterday and one today. 17 and 18 days.

Current court cases are claiming the wait times are prohibitive. They are countering that argument by shortening the times temporarily.

SBR E-form 1 submitted 60 days ago.
My form 4 just got approved after 6 days including the weekend. It was my first suppressor and first nfa item in general. I filed as an individual.

Purchased 3 suppressors on a Saturday, Certified the paperwork on Wednesday, Received the first approval on 1 suppressor on Friday and the second and third approval on the following Monday.

E-Form 4 individual is the fastest right now. Average is about a week.

Took 2 days for me to be approved for a form 4. They approved it on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Form 1 took 12 days after I applied I’m early June. 😊
Dude Im still waiting for an E form-1 from November. Over 120 days. I did the form 1 through silencer shop kiosk.
Did a single shot trust and certified my eforms April 2nd, nothin yet

I've been waiting over 15 months from silencer Central and still waiting.
Submitted Nov.15 and nothing my first 2 was 9 and 10 months. They need to get their shit together nobody should be approved before others that have been submitted before them.
Almost 2 months waiting now using silencer shop kiosk .
Last year the wait time said 45 days, took 9 months to get my SBR stamp approved 😢
Just got my approval today. It was started on November 21st 2023. 136 days is not bad.
For starting in 2023 that isn’t horrible.
Just ordered one through silencershop on Saturday. Hoping for a quick turnaround cause it’s my first can. I keep seeing people post really fast approvals. Great video

Thank you for saying that , i was trying to find out about form1's cuz i want to put a VP9 pistol into a Feb Defense SBR chassis that i just ordered ,,,, though the chassis is coming from Israel so that might get delayed now.
Submitted my forms via Kiosk in August of 2023 and still no word. Ridiculous!!
Anecdotally, I know multiple people that are 9-12 months still waiting on individual. I’m at 5 months right now so I think SS is just posting the fastest.
It does help to sell more product posting the highlighted fast times. Hopefully we see them come down overall though.
Call the atf or get your shop to manually go in and check if it has been approved. I bought two cans back in December. Got approved for one in 60 days and was at 110 days for the second one. Called the atf and waited on hold for 30 mins to reach someone. Gave the operator my control number and she said “ oh that one got approved back in February the same day as with your other suppressor ” even tho I only got one approval email. They are having an issue with failing to send out the approval emails.
Last November nothing yet.

381 days as of today....form is fine. Still says "pending approval" online. Filed last May during the amnesty for my braced SBR. The irony? I'm a retired cop and carried an SBR every day for 20 years. The ATF is trash.
Submitted form 4 on 3/27, approved on 4/1. Submitted another on 4/13, approved on 4/17. Heading to grab a couple more while they are moving so quickly.

Unfortunately a lot of the wait times are still really inconsistent, even if some of them are faster.

I've heard a few people had success with calling and complaining about their long wait times.
Filed Feb 27th as a trust on silencershop for two cans…… nothing yet
took about 4 weeks for me. purchased end of December and got mine before February. submitted through ss online.
Still better than it was the last couple years.

Submitted 3/25/24 and mailed on prints same day. Nothing as of 4/4/24 so definitely SS electronic prints is definitely speedy compared to mail in prints. Now I’m just wondering if it’s gonna be a couple weeks or a year.
The mail in prints definitely add a delay. Let us know when it gets approved.
3/21 certified Form 4... still waiting.
I certified a form 4 as an individual on 3-27 at 12 p.m., and the ATF approved it at 7:15 am. on 3-29

Still waiting on a form 4 individual Mach 18. Wonder if it is quicker for those that aren't first timers or does the ATF just hate me? Got a clean background and a CCW. Sigh.

Submitted my individual eform on 4/1 and was approved on 4/3. Literally right at 48 hours. I couldn't believe it. I was pessimistic about the quick approval times but now I'm a believer 😂
Mine was submitted April 2nd. Single can individual. No luck yet. First two were 5mo and 9mo respectively. We will see what happens with this one.

I got a batch approval from a form 4 trust when I purchased an individual form 4 in less than 2 weeks. However they ignored my other form 4 trust, when they could’ve just batch approved all three together. Now I’m back to bugging my congresswoman and the ATF everyday
That's interesting that they were split up like that, some batch approved and another not.
Sitting in 18 days now on 3 form 4s. Not my first ones either. There's no order to how they are approving
Bought 2 suppressors in the last 3 months. First one was approved in 5 days and the other was approved in 6 days.
Just filed a form 1 for an SBR. We’ll see how long it takes.

my 1st silencer in 2023 took a lil over 7 months, i started seeing approvals for 1-5 days so i bought one in march on the 25th, all paperwork and atf accepted stuff done by the 28th haven't heard anything back i hope its not another 6 months for approval

Filed form 4 individual on march 21 and still waiting, they’re just using a few lucky handfuls that were approved in a couple days as a marketing campaign, they don’t mention out of the thousands of people who applied for one in a single week. Only a handful were approved within a couple days.
The approvals are still varied in which are fast or slow. I'm also curious how many people have applied since word of fast approvals spread.
Trust times are still no faster than before. Trust approvals still showing 196 days. I will believe that the shorter wait times are the “rule” when I see it. And yes, Ia am an FFL/SOT

bro what the hell. why is everyone getting theirs approved within a couple days and i’m sitting here at almost 30 days of waiting.
@@VladPutinsDad Unfortunately the overall averages are still higher than the fast, couple day approvals. I don't know exactly what makes the difference, but some of the factors can be anything on your background that requires additional research, if there are people with a similar name that have to be compared manually, etc.
1st time, individ form 4 apri 1st..still nothing as of today 9 april..but did it, becuase of the new quicker rumor.. soo we will see.. i am not too confident yet.. especially as a 1st time guy .

I’ve still been waiting a month for silencer shop to even clear a form 3 so I can start the process. Pretty frustrating. Probably be the last time I use them.
Mine is on preparing eforms but got a call from my dealer that the can was in. He then tells me eforms is down but when it gets back up we can certify it. It has been 3 weeks for me and then shipping is what ate most of these weeks up. Hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer.
I’m seeing delay on silencershop website but got an email stating that form 3 was approved. I believe form 4 is submitted once the suppressor is mailed to the local FFL.
It’s been about 10 days since ordering.
It took 15 days for the form 3 to clear and then I went in next day too certify and then it went too in process so I'm now waiting on ATF approval I'm on day 20ish now total ss is running behind also

I disagree. I filed mine (I filed 5 trust suppressor form 4) back in Oct 23. I expected late summer approval, but they completed mid march. Certainly not as fast as others are seeing currently, but almost a half year sooner than I was expecting!

It is subjective, the wait times really do vary . Bought a can as individual 04/09/2024 cerified 04/13/2024 and still waiting. This is my 3rd can. My buddy bought his first can last month got certified and approved in 3 weeks. Approval times really do vary. Not everyone is getting "fast" approval times.
I filed mine on the 15th of May and I’m still waiting, since the 17th of May it’s said “pending ATF” I called silencer shop and then I called the ATF, both phone calls left me waiting around 45 minutes. SS gave me the number to the ATF and the ATF said, “So it looks you filed and we’re certified by the 17th of May and your application is pending, 39 days is the average wait time but not guaranteed, have a nice day” 😂
Unfortunately the answer "pending" has been pretty much all that ATF will say for years. It's rare to get more info than that, unless there was a specific problem.
First suppressor wait time was 5 months and second one only took 2 days

Form 4 with trust on first can Jan 2 and 2nd can early April. Now May 27th and no word yet. On either😢
There is still a lot of inconsistency.
I submitted a trust on 12/29/23 and 2 more after that. They got approved on 03/18/24. That has been the fastest for me. I just purchased another one today.04/03/24 just waiting for it to be assigned and silencer shop to do the trust and get it certified.
Sounds like a possible example of the batch processing.

@eaznutts5714 I have my ccw, and I've never been delayed at all when buying a firearm. I'm just curious, do you get approved instantly, or is there a little delay when you fill out a 4473?

A local shop near me had a guy get approved in 2 hours. He got home and got the call to come back and pick it up. Im on day 3 of waiting so fingers crossed i have it by the weekend!

@trumanmiller94 funny enough I bought another suppressor on May 3rd. Also a Friday. Got the approval again the next tuesday. So both of mine were done in 4 days. The longest wait was getting in the adapter from silencer co.

What no one ever mentioned to me was the Form 3 wait time, which is apparently longer than the actual Form 4 wait these days.
So while your Form 4 may get approved in a couple days, your Form 3 that you have to get approved BEFORE your Form 4, will take a couple weeks.

My form 3 took maybe 4 days. This was last week.

You’ll have to forgive my ignorance. But what comes first. Do ya get a stamp first then figure out what rifle/suppressor u want? Does it all happen at the same time? Do ya technically buy the rifle/suppressor from the store then wait for the paper work to go thru but the store just hangs on to ur purchase for possibly months?
You have to buy the suppressor first, then when you know the serial number of that specific can, then you can submit the form 4 and the wait begins.
Picking everyone's brain, bought two cans a month ago,still waiting , i bought another can 3 weeks ago, start to finish,(5) days, still waiting on first order?
I submitted 2-15-24 and still waiting. Others submit today and get approval in a week. What is wrong with this system?

Does anyone know what I should do if I’ve been waiting on my can since September of last year? Do I have to just wait the normal time? Or will it get approved quicker?
There really isn't a way to know if yours will be processed any faster. The average wait times seem to be coming down, but even though some are just a couple days there are still some in the hundreds of days.

Yeah, your name is at the back of the pack. People who put them in at the end of February or starting to get. If you put yours in around the holidays your way back I don’t know why they started it like that but that’s how it’s going.

That's for sure! Their process adds weeks before you file and after you get an approval. And with their restocking charge and in store credit they basically have a no refund policy. I found out to late and will probably be waiting a long time 😡
Bought one 3 weeks ago as individual, paired the tax tamp but keep getting emails from silencer shop saying “tax stamp required for order” $ is out of my account don’t know why they keep emailing me that; anyone else have that same issues ???

"First in first out is out the window". 146 days and still waiting . First two were 140 and 131 days. They are doing some fast to BS the public. As for trust bundling that's BS too. I put three in a one month period last fall. Still waiting on one of three. All Standardized trusts from Silencer Shop. Called ATF to check on the third and they didn't return my call.
I don't know that they have ever been "first in, first out." There has always been a range of approval times with some getting approved faster than others.
Im guessing mine will be another 400+ day approval. 64 days in now with ss single shot trust.

@AdventureColorado well i was wrong, just got all 3 back at 70 days. Far better than the last 436 day paper form 4.
