BREAKING NEWS! Faster Suppressor Approval Times
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 окт 2024
- You've probably seen super fast approvals for suppressors lately, and the ATF confirmed that those Faster Suppressor Approval Times are here to stay. There are a few big updates, including "trust bundling" or batch approvals to speed up processing times if you have two or more item pending. Also, there are optimizations being made to the process for "Standardized trusts," like our Single Shot trust, to help them get approved faster.

I seen it on reddit? Brother I lived it. 2 weeks to approval.
LETS GOOOOOO
I got my form 4 approved for my Polonium 30 in 1 week. Couldn’t believe it.
Still waiting 14 months. I’m calling tomorrow
been 12 months for me called 4 times first it was waiting for the fbi nics then it was waiting to be reviewed and approved now its bacvk to waiting on the fbi nics total bullshit imho. post back what you find out when you call.@@dillonjackson5369
@@Invent-Mentyet another liar. Why do you feel the need to lie? Just to get people to say wow? Weird
The ATF knows their time is limited and they’re trying to get people to forget that they are unconstitutional by being slightly less infringey.
this is what i've told people. the lawsuits are stacking up and they're trying to show say "hey, look, this process is really simple and fast, there's no reason we should get rid of it"
Is considering a trillion dollar company a person, and allowing them to pump billions of dollars into elections up and down the ballot because they perverted the clear meaning of the 1st amendment, fucking us over and subverting our democracy because our politicians now represent said trillion dollar company, not the voters unconstitutional too? Or you good with that bc it’s not related to the 2A?
All we fucking do is yabber on and on about the 2A, doing fuck all about it (despite the usual “come and take it” bs), there are a few other amendments we should be pretty worried about losing too! If we put as much effort into defending the other amendments as we do banging on about the 2A, this country would be a far better place, and there’d be less fucking division!
👍👍 nailed it!
Not agreeing with the ATF but NFA Was a congress thing
Or they want as many nfa items as possible so when they decide they're all illegal its that many more homes they can raid
ATF is feeling the heat from that 7% budget cut and all the court cases they care loosing.
Good but not ENOUGH... Stop the tax stamps and I want ear protection same day
Damn right if I can pass a nics same day for a firearm, it should be the same for a suppressor
@@Deltamikeacademy Shouldn't even have to pass a NICS- the NICS background checks (just like the Forms 1/4/4473) are used to create a registry of information.
No one can be compelled to register themselves for the exercise or enjoyment of a right, and no part of government has the authority to claim such a thing.
@Keek-The-Unique You don't even need the "in common use" argument, though it doesn't hurt. The rubric laid out in U.S. v. Jack Miller (1939), D.C. v. Heller (2008), McDonald v. Chicago (2010), and the definition of "Arms" is enough.
Just because something isn't "in common use" doesn't make it any less guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment, because even in 1791/1792 the Congress understood, expected, and made clear points about specialized unit types of militia.
I'm at 721 days now because ATF rejected my Trust and had to get it revised and resubmitted. I feel ATF should get criminal charges for how much injustice this process is. I would get fired if i took that long at my job! Congrats on eveeyone else with 4 day approvals now
Please contact your congressman. From what I’m told, it really helps
Nice work clown. Submit shit right then.
And everything is out of stock and on backorder. Welcome back to wait times.
Still doesn't solve ATF being abolished
Pay to play or go cry
New directive: the faster they process the faster their watch list grows. 👀
Honestly that’s my theory. Or something like that.
that watch list grows everytime u did a NICS check since 1990 forward...every call from at least that time in the US, has been recorded and stored...
My theory too. They will be knocking on all these doors.
The faster they are proven to be in common use and no longer "regulated". Shall not be infringed.
They already know you own guns
I used your form 1 service on the 6th and had my approval on the 11th. I was just getting on to make sure that it wasn't kicked back. Bravo Zulu!
LETS GOOOO. Congrats.
Yeah, I use their form one and I’m waiting on about 5 1/2 months now. How the fuck does any of this make sense?
*i cant help but feel this is a trap*
Oh it is. They are getting their list together. Plus I hope within the year we can buy without a tax stamp. It’s a money grab and to lengthen their list.
Brother I’ve been waiting since last November
Nice I hope these fast times stick around
No one should be doing them in the first place.
@@jakobroynon-fisher9535 I disagree. The more that do, the more "common" these are and can be argued to not "ban" them based on the Heller decisions' in common use test.
@@ecobasetech4558 You're not taking into account the McDonald v. Chicago (2010) Supreme Court opinion where they plainly stated that the government has no authority to restrict, effectively ban, or outright ban access to any class or description of arms. Even the Heller (2008) ruling referenced Nunn v. GA (1846) and Bliss v. KY (1822), which can both be extrapolated at orders of magnitude to the 2nd Amendment rights nationally.
Same! It seems like they're going to!
It isn't faster if they all aren't faster...
Filed on 3/16 and got approved 3/19. Life is good!!
I and my wife had to complain to our States Attorney General after waiting for almost 3 months and we argued that because of the Bruen and Chevron decisions, the ATF didn't have jurisdiction over accessories and we got our approval a few days later
Why doesn't this feel real? Why do I feel like the bad part is still coming?
Coming up on 1 year wait…
Because you are on the "old system "
Call ATF, you're over the average wait time.
@@SilencerShopend up waiting on hold with them for over an hour…planning on trying again next week. Have left messages and sent emails.
@SilencerShop no he's not. Everyone I'm talking to sees exactly 1 year to the dot.
Have you tried inquiring about it, through the ATF portal, under “Ask an Expert”? Coincidentally or not, mine was approved very soon after I inquired. Remember though, they’re human, and speaking thoughtfully and respectfully, may go a long way. If that doesn’t work, then contact your congressman
I called Wednesday and my Trust Form 4 from 12/1/23 is still pending! People are still waiting longer than the new rush of approvals that are making their way through unfortunately.
Me as well, 11/30 & 12/1
Trust improvements are starting now, so yours should get sped up!
@@SilencerShop Time will tell!!
Same 10/28
Man that guy is handsome!!😎 Great info,I’m buying a new can now!
😅😅😅😅😅
He really is a beauty, the fast approval times are nice too!
Well I’ve been waiting for months still no word. I did one of your trust.
Then where’s my suppressor ?
I completed all of my paperwork back in December
The fast approvals have only been for Forms submitted after the first of the year. I certified on 1/30, got approved on 2/29.
Sounds right. I submitted two 12/23 and still waiting, buddy submitted 1/24 and picked up 2/24. Good luck.
I completed in December, got it in February, so it's not just this year's.
Idk I bought a can in November last year and one in Jan neither have been approved. Also my sbr stamp went waaayy past the posted wait time
September 7th here. Friggin bullshit
In the last 2 weeks I have purchased 3 suppressors. First one approved in 5 days, second in 4 and third in 2.
WOW! Love to hear that!
@@samd2539he was already on that list
I'm not seeing it go quickly
Me either
I just got a form 4 in 8 days
Check Reddit, there are tons of super fast approvals.
Call me a liar then but using your system my 2 form 4s haven't come back that fast.
@@SilencerShop not mine with you
You need a in stock filter for your searches. Lots of stuff out of stock so hard to find what is available.
There is one! Just go to Sort By > In Stock
I'm still waiting on an NFA trust can from November but I eform 4ed as an individual on March 5th and got my Obsidian 9 back by the 14th.
My 9th single shot trust is at 92 days... i see no improvement
Should have gotten a trust with natural gun trust would have only paid 50 bucks and you can put an unlimited amount of stuff on that trust
These updates are starting now, not 90 days ago, so your form should start speeding up!
Need y'all to start getting more suppressors back in stock!
I applied for my first suppressor Friday night 4/5, received approval this morning 4/10!
Wow thats awesome!
Submitted my single shot trust through silencer shop 5 weeks ago. Still no approval. Last one took 8 months so I’m not hopeful for much faster this time
Can anyone explain why this is happening and at the same time I've been waiting since 5/23 for a single shot trust approval? Spoke to the ATF and they claim, like most applications, that I'm in delayed status with the FBI. They also said it's completely normal and they have a huge backlog
They are also supposed to be implementing a system that would speed up the NICS process.
Got an sbr approved in 13 days I was absolutely dumbfounded. But stilllllll waiting on the suppressors as usual
NICE!
@@SilencerShop right!!! Now if we could only get rid of the NFA system for SBR, SBS, AOW, and suppressors and repeal the 1986 machine gun ban and make that a tax stamp we would be groovy.
@@Mountain_ManWhy stop with Only repealing the Hughes Amendment why not just repeal the whole NFA and the Hughes… have the 2nd Amendment back to what it was intended to be… the people able to compete with the military in weaponry.
When the government is allowed arms that the people are not allowed to own… the power balance tips from its intended side to the side of potential tyranny
4 months later still not Received from silencer shop. Big back logs Obviously
This is still an infringement, and the MF tax is ILLEGAL.
Truth. Form 1 took 14 days. Form 4 took 41 days.
NICE!
Sounds like silencer shop is trying to to sell some suppressors lol. ATF is not speeding up for anyone.
Just got mine back in 5 days at a local gun shop
@@McCullen7sure bud
@@WayneP1973 I have zero reason to lie lol
Check reddit or IG, there are hundreds of examples of faster approvals. reddit.com/r/nfa
I heard it was mainly individual paper filings that were getting done super quick. Trust efiles are still averaging 200 days...
I’ll believe it when the form 4 I submitted 3 months ago gets approved 🙄
Im having nothing but trouble too. My dealer cant get my cans certified because SilencerShop portal is screwed up. Ive been waiting a few months
Check Reddit, tons of forms coming back super fast.
did you know you can just buy a complete upper that is 10 inches and not tell the ATF anything?
I hope you’re referring to making it a pistol, and not an SBR. Giving advice like this, is extremely dangerous. Creating an unregulated SBR turns you into an instant felon. A lot of people don’t know or understand Federal Firearms laws. Not trying to be a douche, but giving advice like this could open a huge can of worms.
@@BafflingBS I am suggesting doing what you want. Thugs are rocking glock switches and spend 1 night in jail. At this point - weapons free!
I have a buddy that got his 1st suppressor in 1 phucking month and it wasn't even thru Silencerco. My quickest one took 3 months and that was during the very beginning of E-filing.
I’m sure the ATF means, for all transactions submitted from here on out. Still clearing backlog is my guess.
Theyre clearing the backlog, those in process forms will also be processed faster. And you're correct, approval times should come down dramatically.
Dude I literally just finished my paperwork two days ago.. don't get my hopes up 😂
Fingers crossed for you!
I haven’t been so lucky. I have 3 suppressors still in pending. 179 (individual) days on one and 78 (single shot trust) days on the other two.
Fingers crossed you get the good news soon!
Silencer shop trust, 3 items and still been waiting since October. It took 6 months to get 12 sbr all come back over a 3 week time period in the mail. So I think SS is only talking about the very select few the 1 in 1000000 chance of it only taking a few days. I have over a 100 nfa items and have never seen that before
The fast approvals have only been for things submitted after the first of the year.
My first item this year was Jan 8. Still waiting. So that theory is debug. The batch approvals not so much in my case that does seem to vary a lot. I sent 2 form 4 and the same day their was 3 months difference on approvals. I’m a frequent submitter maybe I should get special front of the line treatment. Since nothing changes except dates and serial #’s
Its a new process, so your 3 items should NOW process faster, and will be bundled upon approval!
I am coming up on a year as others have said. When I called the ATF they said they were waiting on the FBI. Not my first suppressor and I have never have any issues with 4473s.
Contact the fbi. It's the only thing that pushed mine through before the year mark. After i called, i was approved within a week. 3/28/23 purchased, 3/14/24 approved. Wish i had done it sooner.
Thank you I guess I should try that. I’m not sure of that number but I will try to find it.
Just got my first yhm r9 4 months to the day! My form I SBR took 6 months!
Not bad at all!
@@SilencerShop both approved on the same day!
My eforms 1 and 4 were submitted 7 months ago at the same time. My form 4 was approved last month. Make sense of that.
I used a SS trust and certified the morning of 5/23. It's the afternoon of 5/31 and have not heard anything so hoping it's not going to be one of the slow ones! First one was 2016 and took 11 months 😢
Fingers crossed!
7/2 now and still nothing - guess my SS Trust didn't get the "standardized trust treatment".
Received approval on 8/6/24
I got my Scythe in 3 days. 1-5-24 backorder, 1-26-24 DocuSign, 2-20-24 certify and 2-23-24 approved and picked up. Still a process.
3 DAYS! Congrats.
Order placed on 5/15/24, still waiting of ATF approval. I’m so annoyed.
Fingers crossed it comes soon!
305 days on a single shot trust and still waiting
Mine is 3 months and still ticking on single shot. its the individuals that are getting the 2 to 3 days.
I’ve been waiting 14 months now. I don’t believe it.
I have been waiting since September 2023. So about 6 months. Single shot trust. Guess I am getting hooked up.
Should be coming sooner!
I've been waiting for 284 days. I heard all the talk about short wait times. I called ATF last week they told me there part was approved. Now I'm waiting for the FBI to do there investigation.
Background checks should go quick!
Bout time... But this just shows how they could been operating all along...
Better late than never!
Like what you're saying but just to get something certified is taking 3 weeks. Have 2 cans over 145 days waiting, certified one 2 weeks ago & a 4th is 3 weeks in just waiting to get the docusign email to wait a week or two to certify. I truly hope what you're saying happens to me but 380 days is the norm for me.
Same here
Most of that wait to certify is due to ATF Form 3 transfer, which allows us to send the silencer to your dealer.
Ooooo I hope so, did mine in February.....they told me at the gun store it was averaging just under a year...
That was true, now this new process is bringing averages way down.
SS needs to get product in stock! Doesn’t matter how fast they get approved if ya cant buy any
We get more in stock all the time! Reserve you favorite silencer on a backorder, they're filling quickly.
Bought mine a couple days ago along with your daniel defense builder on your website lets see how long it takes cant wait!
LETS GO
@@SilencerShop yall gotta give your hype man a raise lol he is awesome
There was a customer at the gun shop I work at, his came back in 48 hours.
Its crazy times!
Ok i started the process 2weeks ago and got my silencer TODAY! A buddy of mine bought his last Friday and also got his approval today… It is legit… Now i dont know what that means for ppl who have been waiting for months but if you buy 1 one now INDIVIDUAL you will walk away with a can quick
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience.
I got my obsidian 9 in four days as an individual. Praying for my single shot trust cans to get out soon.
NICE! ATF is saying trusts should catch up to that speed too!
Now the companies need to hurry up and build more suppressors. Everything is on backorder and out of stock.
Approval process? 2 days. Suppressor backorder? 2 years.
Still at four months for my last can with silencer shop trust.
It seems the only people getting these wildly unbelievable turn around times are individual.
I’m debating to buy another just to test my hypothesis.
Correct, and in the recent town hall ATF said the same changes that happened for individuals are now going to happen for trusts. So, your forms should speed up too.
I've been waiting a month and my background is clean. So much for quick turnarounds. Kinda pissed actually. The week before I bought the can, I renewed my concealed carry permit. Federal and State background check. WTF ATF???
Hopefully you get the good news soon.
Now with all these quick approval stories it’s virtually impossible to find suppressors in stock. I use a trust so not getting done as fast anyway but would love to get a dedicated 300blk can but all out of stock or back ordered. That makes me nervous that companies will start slamming them out with less quality control
I just got the email saying I am ready to certify but the gun shop wants me to go in person when they're 2 hours away :(
Now only if you had anything in stock online so I could take advantage of those faster times. Going on a month now since you took my money without producing a product. So now it’s up for debate who takes longer you or the ATF
just submitted mine on the 22nd! we will see.
SS is gonna need a job fair, they're taking longer to certify than ATF is taking to approve now
We're hiring a lot! We need to make sure that new folks meet our standards, and our customers standards, so its a process.
Now is not the time, the time is to wait until the entire NFA processes is found to be unconstitutional.
Wow very cool I have been thinking about a 300 blackout sbr.
300BLK is a favorite caliber here at the shop, and it really shines in an SBR platform!
@@SilencerShop Hello and thank you for the reply. And I am looking at a Kriss Vector sbr .45 ACP
Well why have I been waiting for months still?
Look at all those inventory please make them available on the website waiting for the can I want to be in stock 🙏
Back orders are getting filled constantly!
I just got one approved in 18 days. I was surprised. Normally it is 9-13 months. Only thing faster was when I did some form ones in 1 month.
Nice one!
Why are old ones not being approved
I am still waiting on mine after 8 months.
Now, if you only had stock in which my customers could order silencers...
We're constantly filling back orders and ordering new products.
Yeah, I've been waiting since April 6th, 2023 for my Rugged Razor 5.56 from you guys.
I'm also waiting for my Rugged Razor 7.62 from WHMc Guns, in Humboldt, TN, purchased on February 27, 2024...
Serious doubt...
That really sucks man. I had both an omega 36m and nomad 30 bought june/July and approved in January.
I ordered the rugged razor 5.56 the other day from here and it was on back order.
Just got a 5 day approval. Purchased through SS. Going pick it up tomorrow.
Congrats!
Individual or trust?
It should say “5 day approval” not “a day approval.” I’m going to edit the post. Still great though. Quick turn times are only for individual and solo trusts.
My last SBR through Silencer Shop took 7 days to get approved
NICE!
maybe for some.... I want to know what determines who gets fast tracked and who has to wait. people getting jumped ahead & getting their items in front of people who have been waiting is BS. I have never been denied its not even my first nfa item. still waiting while other move ahead. WHY?
Reach out to ATF they're the ones who process the forms and will have much more information for you.
Fk all that. I'm waiting for the NFA to be done away with all together. I don't pay for permission.
I have 2 currently waiting ..... hurry up atf
I’m still waiting since November
Man I’m still waiting. My boss got his in 2 months I went a got mine. Right after. Both as individuals, and we already have a bunch of stuff each. 8 months later still waiting.
You should call ATF, they instructed folks over the average to reach out!
I am a dealer and have stayed on the phone with ATF on hold for my customers, listening to scatchy music for literally hours waitng and never talk to anyone. And the biggest joke is they say to leave a message and they will get back. HAAAA!!! @@SilencerShop
How about getting rid of the ATF?
A right delayed is a right denied
Not true I’m in the middle of a nine month resubmit using a silencer shop trust! UPIN and all!
could it be that the atf knows they will lose the lawsuit paxton v dettlebach and they will no longer be able to collect a tax on suppressors?
I hope my times are fast for my first suppressor, waiting on my “back ordered” Lahar from Aero precision.🙄
Times are definitely coming down, you'll love the Lahar!
@@SilencerShop absolutely, I’m sure hoping so! Hopefully it’ll come in soon so we can get the eforms form 4 going! Lol
Just purchased another can let’s see how it goes
Fingers crossed! You should see faster approval times.
Waiting a week for approval is criminal
Better than year 🤷♂️
How long until we don’t need a tax stamp? I’m contemplating getting my first. I’d rather not be on their juicy list. Nor do I want to pay $200.
I've been waiting since 5/19 of last year. 😞
My theory is that they KNOW they are about to loose the TX case in court and it will pave the way to the destruction of the NFA or at least parts of it, so by making the rapid approvals they are getting all of that money while it is still available.
My shit is not on the fast list. Over 120 on the Form 1s, nearing 220 on the Form 4s. Grabbed another RC2762 and KAC 762 hoping for a batch and emailed the FBI, they were like 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
That sucks bro
I guess I've boycotted the AFT Tax Stamp long enough. I've been wishing that someday I'd be able to get cans, at least cans, without having to pay a tax, fill out all the forms, and wait so long. Since I don't have to wait so long anymore, I guess I'll 'pull the trigger' and get some cans. I think my biggest question at the moment is the pros and cons of the different ways to register them. (Trust vs. whatever) I'm going to search your page for a hopefully recent and accurate video for those different options and the pros and cons of each. Once I get that figured out, I think I know a few cans I'd like to start with. If you don't have a recent, up-to-date video of those different options and the pros and cons of each, that would be a great next video...
We have a complete blog on the site that covers the advantages of Trust vs. Individual. But the jest of it is, Trust applications allow you to share the items with friends/family, and leave them to heirs. Individuals are much more restricted.
Well I’ve been waiting 6 month for my AR approval so pardon me if I don’t believe you!
Its a new method, so now forms are speeding up.
