The v6 isn’t a terrible power plant. Dodge kinda fucked the industry of muscle cars by making everyone think you need 707 hp.

It’s good in both the dodge avenger and Chrysler 200 s in the avenger with this engine it does a 5.7 0-60 on a charger however it does like a 7 second 0-60 if I remember right. I agree that it’s a good engine they just put it in cars too heavy for it

I like the fact that you give options instead of saying sell it and get a V8. If you get a solid deal on a V6 car, your insurance savings will pay for your mods in a 3 year period for a supercharger kit. Most of us Gen X love the V6 in stock form. If I wanted a Hellcat and the payments and insurance rates, I would have. Affordable car that is fun and reliable and puts a smile on your face every time ... Priceless.

Only reason why I'm getting the Challenger GT is for the AWD. I think people don't realize how quick a 500HP AWD car is. The Nissan GTR is a 3.8 twin turbo V6 with AWD.....they sell twin turbo kits made for the stock 3.6 engine with everything you need including the tune for 500HP for the 3.6 Challenger engine.
The lower the mileage on the Challenger GT the less problems you'll have with adding the bolt on Turbo Kit.....its cheaper to get the Challenger GT AWD to 500HP than it is for the Subaru Legacy 3.6r Limited trust me that's why mines is sitting collecting dust until I get the money for that project 😂

Working in the industry and seeing people go 10k into a new engine because they cant prove their services, if it isnt that expensive, best case scenario would be rocker arms, and plenty oil coolers. This engine can be anything but reliable, specially in the jeep community, that 4.0 straight 6 was the way to go for reliability.

I think the Challenger GT with AWD maxed out with the supercharger kit and everything else would be a fun sleeper that you could drive comfortably in rainy/slick weather. Imagine everyone’s astonishment when all wheels hook up with over 400 hp?? It would be a fun day at the track

I love my dodge Durango citadel, but what’s sucks is that you can only get them in v6, so I’ve looked at other options like boosting, or just interior swapping into a v8, or doing a motor swap but they all seem like the worst ideas. I just love my citadel it’s very comfortable, I think they should have all came stock with a v8 package because using a little v6 absolutely tanks my gas mileage down to 17mpg on highway use 😭

Ripp makes Superchargers for the 3.6 starting at $6100 which looks like a lot up close but you'll save $4K-$10K on a 392 and get give or take 500hp

Here’s my build list for my 2019 SXT. After it’s done, we crunched some numbers and it should be making very good HP.
(This is all CAD + Shipped)
    - Magnum Force Cold Air + Box - $550
    - 78MM Throttle Body - $800
    - Ripp Performance Coil Packs - $400
    - ARP Head Studs (If Needed) - $1300
    - Ripp High Flow Exhaust System - 1500
    - Ripp Performance Supercharger Kit - $7000
    - DiabloSport inTune i3 Programmer - $600
    - Professional Tune + Unlock - should be around $500
$12,550 Total in, 204-354HP (500-650) higher then stock, my view is, if I can’t find a Scatpack, then why not be faster then one Base Model?

The reason I went with the v6 is I can drive it all year round, I don’t race so not worried about missing out on a ton of HP, and still have the retro muscle car look of the Challenger.
