This was the game in which several players got frostbite and had to play Rams the following week. Didnt have enuff time in recovery for full health. You could tell in Rams game which they lost.
The way the Niners got to this point: two weeks before this, Robbie Gould was used as our punter to punt the ball away with under 2 minutes left, trailing by a touchdown, against the Rams. We got the ball back and went 88 yards in a minute to tie it and then won in OT. Without that win we don’t even make the playoffs. We felt like a team of destiny. Losing to the Rams the next week, especially the way we lost, was one of the toughest losses I’ve watched. I almost cried.
I went to that last game in la that we had to win to go to the playoffs and then traveled to Dallas, then Green Bay and then back to la for the nfc championship. Will never forgot how heartbreaking that was walking out of sofi after how awesome the month leading up to that was. Made me hate the rams so much. It really did feel like destiny after the way we won those games. Just kept buying tickets when I barely had enough money because it felt like a once in a life time experience.
