Purdy stepped in and delivered! He showed poise, composure, and threaded the needle in many of his completions. He also showed his mobility outside the pocket and was able to convert on many 3rd downs. He’s our guy going forward and he fits right into our scheme. Keep a strong running game combined with the best defense and I like where we are at. Short week off a big win so hopefully we can take another W soon! Go 49ers!

This kid could be good. Very surprised he fell to last in the draft. Quick release, today’s typical NFL size, elastic arm, has more guts than most starters as of now and is pretty accurate. He throws off platform and from different arm angles, very quick release, great upper and lower body disassociation and finished with his weight back with a sudden stop of upper body rotation that leads to balanced squared shoulders. All the things we see in Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen. We will have to see about the elite arm strength though, not enough situations yesterday to really tell yet. I saw this in him 2 years ago at Iowa State and was very impressed. He also has all those weapons and a championship caliber D.

Oh don't worry my boy BOSA just put the NFL On notice today. Now he got to pressure the G.O.A.T Tom Brady I think he can get 3 sacks against Tampa they lost their left tackle for the season.
Some sacks are simply bigger than others. Bosa's last 4 sacks ended drives. The sack against the Saints on 4th down kept their scoreless in the 2nd half streak alive. It was 3rd and 1 on his 1st sack against the Dolphins that ended that drive. It was 3rd and 4 on his next sack that forced a punt from midfield. His strip sack in the 4th gave the defense a T.D that put an exclamation mark on the game.
A good argument could be made that the 49ers lose this game if not for Bosa. He should be a top 2 candidate for DPOY.

It's a whole different beast when a team has time to prepare and game plan against the QB. Purdy looked good, but I've seen many backup QBs come in after the starter goes down and do well that first game, then they hit reality.
This 49ers defense looked shaky at times, but they settled down and showed the NFL once again why this unit remains generational with yet another masterclass to support first-time starting QB Brock Purdy on getting his first career win.
Technically it's still Jimmy G's win.
They held the Dolphins to 17 points and caused 4 turnovers. The defense played lights out 🔥
The Dolphins looked good when they were exploiting our zone and throwing quick 10 yd passes right off the snap other than that we played pretty well

Purdy is so good that even the pick he threw was great! It was 4th down. If the ball was swatted the fins gain an extra 20-25 yards.
Especially DEEP ball interceptions. Sometimes they can carry the value of a Punt that pins the other team deep in their own territory.

As a dolphins fan I’m glad the game went this way sort of. We haven’t played an actual team with Tua in forever and this will wake us up for the future. Of course the internet went crazy but I wish the 49ers a good season and hope we end strong because we haven’t been this good in forever.

As a 49ers fan this win was very special, McDaniel, Mostert, Wilson Jr, and Sherfield. Like a nice reunion. Niners defense is elite like the 2000 Ravens defense and hopefully Brock Purdy can pull a 2017 Nick Foles to win a superbowl as a backup qb. But key word “hopefully”…
The are very good, but i wouldn't compare them to 2000 Ravens; some defenses over the years were just special, like 2000 ravens, 85 bears, 86 giants, 84 niners also

If this year has proven anything it’s that QB evaluators in the NFL know absolutely nothing. Mike White, Bailey Zappe, Brock Purdy, Taylor Heinike, Cooper Rush..
JG's injury is surely a scary blow for the niners but what Purdy did was absolutely amazing and competent. Guess the WHOLE team, with their backs against the wall, gave 110% on the field to a well-deserved win. "Go niners" from Sydney Australia.

Good intense game. It's good to see two traditional winning franchises playing winning football again. The 49ers have been good again for some time. And hopefully the Dolphins can consistently remain playoff contenders after this season.

See imma be real with you guys this defense is legit with an elite d line , however just like the first play of the game your zone defense isn't as good as I thought it was like im looking at the all 22 and, man there was alot of open players in zone but tua just couldnt execute, but hey that's what happens when you have an elite front 7 you rattled the qb for that and the niners just did it . GGs tho from a fins fan your team is legit

A great day to be a San Franciscan. Both my squads won at home. But the hotly anticipated game between MIA and SF was the best win thus far for the Niners. Our vaulted defense led by Bosa & Warner kept Tua & Hill in check all game. Truly an immovable force.

IMO The 49ers are the closest I've seen to a super team since the rams, top 2 defense phenomenal running back top 3 tight end and top 10 wide receiver, the fact they beat the explosive team in the league convincingly with a back up is absurd.
Except our biggest moves have been trading for the rights to draft Lance and trading for CMC

@@e2dwf976 One of the great offensive of players on Miami was out. That didn't help. Tua actually threw some good passes to his receivers. It was his receivers that either dropped the balls or let it wobble. He can't catch passes you know- that's not his job. That's the receivers job. That throw to Hill for the touchdown was remarkable. I thought that hold on Miami was BS. That was not a hold. Miami was about to score too. You can't win against the refs.
Purdy still needs to go through puberty. Only a matter of time before he gets injured too

I like that Purdy doesn't play scared. With fins coming after him almost every play he stood tall in the pocket and threw the ball with confidence.
As the backup QB, he leads the practice squad that goes up against the starting defense in practice, so he faces Bosa and all those guys regularly. That's how the 49ers hone their backups. The 49ers are known to have very tough and physical practice, more than most other teams according to those that have left and joined other teams. Unfortunately that may also be why the 49ers are always one of the most injured teams.
I got the old Niner's anxiety attacks when they were leading by 9 but when Bosa made the fumble - *insert Fallen Denzel meme*.
