Big Brock fan. He played poorly all game. But WHEN IT MATTERED, he put together the season-saving drive. And when it mattered, Love threw a pick that you just cannot ever throw. That was the big decider. Fun game.
No, he didn't. 4 dropped passes, remember? That's not on Brock. Conditions were not optimal, nowhere near it. Lots of slipping on the 9er D and it led to a GB TD. Imo, Brock did a great job, and came through when it mattered most.
I love it because people said that he needs to prove himself by having a game winning drive in a close game. And now those same haters are scrambling for new excuses 😆. That's my QB 🔥
@@WebShaman01 The drops are absolutely not on Brock. However the numerous inaccurate passes and 2 should-been-ints are. Those are mistakes we simply don't see Purdy make most of the time. The rain was certainly a factor, and at this point I think it's safe to say Purdy does not like the rain (this game, the Browns game, the first half against Seattle in last year's playoffs). I think the initial comment summed it up well: "He played poorly all game. But WHEN IT MATTERED, he put together the season-saving drive." There was both good and bad today, but in the end the Niners survived, and I think they'll look a lot better next week.
Except, it wasn't really poorly - 4 dropped passes not on him. He did not play exceptional, and I think that is telling. He certainly does have issues in rain. But this time, he adapted and pulled the game out, exactly what an excellent QB has to do. He did not throw any interceptions, or fumble the ball, etc. That would be examples of poor play imo@@Wolfeson28

@user-us3zg1vg4fI think the first 7th seed to make the divisional going toe to toe with the NFLs best says a lot. say what you want but I think this game being as close as it was is a testament to how good GB is and will be in the foreseeable future. They definitely put the league on notice tonight, they had multiple opportunities to win this game.
I'm a Lions fan so trust me, nothing is guaranteed. There's a full year of film out there on Jordan Love now, plus he's gonna want a pay raise. They have a window open for maybe another 2 years while those WRs are on their rookie contracts.
Love and Purdy are both great. But when it came to their final drives, Purdy showed focus and good decision-making while Love showed the opposite, and that was the deciding factor here.
Tried to be hero there and paid price. You might get away with that Week 2 vs Cardinals or whoever ur playing but cant make that mistake playoffs on road vs 49ers. Ever.

Wrong. Yes the 49ers *ARE* going to the Super Bowl, but they’re going to lose to the Baltimore Ravens, and here’s why. It’s scripted that way. Look at the Super Bowl logo. What color do you see? Purple. This means that the Baltimore Ravens will be your Super Bowl champions. The 49ers are going down.
Great ending but as we've seen the past several years, GB's special teams continues to haunt them in the biggest moments. Granted, Love made some poor throws tonight, but the blame doesn't go all on him. 2 dropped INT's and a missed FG costed them this game. Promising future ahead for GB though!

let's do what ifs, Packers kick off fumble should have recovered by the Niners, and the field goal at the half by the Niners didn't get block, you see Packers got lucky too.
I've got something - Purdy haters, like Colin Coward, Nick Wrong, and Kayshwan Whom stated that Purdy was the worst player on the field during the first half because he ALMOST threw two interceptions ALMOST!! Let's be serious - every single QB in the history of the game ALMOST threw several interceptions on any given Sunday since 1900! It is part of the game, defense players are all around trying to get the ball, to pick 6 because is money, they get bonuses they get new contracts. From Joe Montana to Tom Brady, Mahones, and Lamar in between, every single QB, good or bad player, ALMOST threw interceptions during their games.
After that 53 yard run by Jones, I could've swore the Packers were going to score a td, win the game, and I was okay with my niners losing. What a game! GB has a great young team.
Was 90% sure we were cooked. INEXCUSABLE to allow the run back. Should have been kicked into end zone in the first place though. Many many mistakes this game. It's just that GB made the last one.
The rain clearly affected Purdy's play tonight, but he strung it together perfectly when it mattered the most. I hope he continues to build on this adversity so he can shut the doubters up once and for all.
It affects the passer greatly. It's tough to throw at a high percentage in inclement weather. Even at this level. All QB's do Both of them had struggles, anyone would.

I had a feeling Carlson would cost us a game in the playoffs. He did. As well Carlson' consistency made Lafluer make tough choices. With Crosby La fleur would have had little doubt in a field goal situation.

The 49ers/Packers rivalry is so underrated. And with two young QBs, I doubt it'll mellow out soon.

@@WebShaman01he over threw high a few times but it’s okay. He showed up when it matter ! Niners baby !

Great ending but as we've seen the past several years, GB's special teams continues to haunt them in the biggest moments. Granted, Love made some poor throws tonight, but the blame doesn't go all on him. 2 dropped INT's and a missed FG costed them this game. Promising future ahead for GB though!

Happiest man in the building was actually the Green Bay kicker. He was relieved of that pressure to make a kick.
This officially marks Brock's first 4th QTR comeback.
No it doesn't.. he did it against the Raiders his rookie year.. You can say it's his first in his playoff career.
The first 4Q come back down 7 or more points.
Technically yes, but also not really. He essentially had two already (vs. the Raiders in week 17 last year and vs. the Browns in week 6 this year). In both cases, he drove the team down the field into position for very makeable game-winning FGs, but Gould and Moody each missed their respective kicks.

Big difference between quaterbacks. Mahomes would've never thrown to a receiver, being guarded by 3 defenders.
