That's the full Paul Ricard track in all its (past) magnificent glory with the fast S des Verreries, the long straight of Mistral with no chicanes, scary Signes and highly-technical Beausset.

That's what I call a real F1 car, driver and circuit!
Eddie was a really good driver, Ricard was a great track with the full Mistral straight and RE40 was a great car and the first 3/4 of the 1983 season was pretty tight but they were blown away in the last few races by BMW & Wintershall with their totally legal "rocket fuel". Renault sulked about it being illegal even into the 21st century in their publicity material.
Such a shame the Regie was run by corporate suits instead of racers. They deserve so much credit for developing the 1.5L turbo and they should have walked the 1982 season.

Seems to be checking the turbo pressure or temperature at 0:04 (a bit blinded by the sun)
