@@giovannirafael5351 no, I think lawful neutral is more accurate because he strictly follows the rules of the train, even in book 2 when he is split into one-one he completely breaks down because he can't follow the rules without breaking the rules, that is, solve passengers problems and get them off the train, and the problem being that they want a person that can't leave the train off the train
I'm pretty sure Amelia said "I'm just trying to keep One at bay" so One-One wouldn't ruin her chances of making a new Alrrick, but I do agree that she did care about the other passengers having individualism before she took over.
Up until now, i always thought that she just said called him "one" in the first season just to shorten the name like a nickname, but now I know that it has a purpose lmao
that "turning point" mentioned that would make Amelia completley lose trust in One could be One murdering somebody - in a reddit AMA Owen Dennis revealed that either One, Amelia, or Samantha would murder someone in book five, so it would make a lot of sense for the real murderer to be One given the scenes we have.
I honestly hope that book five will/would've gone in this route because it'd make Amelia's takeover a lot more complicated and her motivations more understandable. it would also raise a lot of intresting questions about whether or not Amelia was right to take over the train in the first place and if the current heirarchy of the train (One One being in charge) is the right one. (after all, with the train being a thing that people can literally die on, is it right to leave One One in charge of it, given his past? or since he's AI? or since he's only one individual? of course this isn't even touching on the question of if the train itself is a good thing in the first place.)
goodness it's so fun to think about, and after the horrors of season three I have no doubts that Owen Dennis and everyone else working on Infinity Train would be willing to go in such a dark direction, and one that completley changes how we think of One and Amelia.

Okay, hear me out. One said that he is programmed to believe anything is possible. He said given the correct factors and whether or not the person chooses to sort things out, that is how they escape. I have not watched all seasons, but I've seen/heard enough in my opinion. Anyway, if a murder were to happen, let's say One did it. Why? Would it be on purpose or an accident? A lot of factors go in it. Two murders happened in book 3, Simon by that Gohm (black creature) I don't know why (don't come for me, and if you know please tell me). And Tuba, who fell on the train's wheels because of Simon. What if One created those creatures. Amelia had those machines that could create them, but did she build them? Maybe not. What if Amelia found out he designed those creatures and let people die from them. Why? Who knows. But this proves that One was really programmed to think that anything is possible on the train, including death.

at this point it would be strange of cn to not renew it since they know there is a demand for a new season and cn not capitalizing on this would be strange
Regretfully CN has shown multiple times that they will pull the plug on beloved shows for literally no reason.
Remember the era of Billy & Mandy, the great CN shows around that time were all canceled simply because they changed heads and the new head wanted to be known for his own line of cool shows. They have also canceled shows because they pulled to many of the "wrong" demographic (like girls instead of boys or teens instead of tweens) and many other stupid decisions made by execs that are only looking at how they want things to work rather then how they are actually functioning.

@@zodiackiller1360 and yet steven universe was rushed to finish and almost cancelled outright every single season. The only reason they even approved of the movie was because it was suppose to promote Future not because fans wanted a movie. Rebecca sugar has also stated in interviews that the reason we had so many townie/filler episodes is because CN wants episodic self contains stories with no overarching plot and minimum character development. Because they basically want there own spongebob, which is why they pushed for shows like teen titans go... Nothing has changed and it probably never will. Just gotta enjoy good shows while they last and hope the creators can continue on a less strict streaming platform somewhere.
CN cancelling shows like this wouldn’t make much financial sense, though. If there’s a clear audience for it who are paying for the streaming service, why not make money off of those viewers? At least with Steven Universe I can get that certain groups may not want a show which shows prominent LGBT representation airing and they likely got some flack from people for that, but Infinity Train hasn’t had anything like that. Sure, Lake can be pretty easily read as a trans allegory and whether or not there were romantic feelings between Min Gi and Ryan can be debated till time immemorial, but there hasn’t really been any explicit rep like there was with SU. Unless there were suburban moms asking CN to “think of the children”, I don’t really see any reason why they shouldn’t renew the show.
Book 5 and/or 6 would show amelia on her adventures with hazel. It shows flashbacks on her getting on the train and taking control of the train. Its also going to show her pain,struggle, and the dynamic between her and hazel. I gotta say when an Amelia themed Book is coming out it will be really interesting.

In my honest opinion, I do believe that the hazel story would be continued in a different book.... but it wouldn't be the main story of the season.... we know that book 5 would be about amelia so don't think that any book after book 5 would do the same just because how the show is set up
Hazel's story would've been in Book 7. Book 6 would explore a new character, according to Reddit AMA

Something I noticed while rewatching The Chrome Car the other day that really struck me was that One One’s reflection has the voice and personality of One. Idk what it means but it’s really cool.
The takeover/split didn't happen in the mirror world, but of course since Mirror One's appearance literally reflects that of Prime (One-)One's, he still has the two eyes.
Wait, if you stop the video at 9:51, you'll see Amelia ripping One-One apart, which, I think, must have created his split personality as he was rebuilding himself.

Odd how reviews of Book 4 tend to gloss over the revelation that the Infinity Train exists within a POCKET DIMENSION that runs on a parallel time stream to that of the passengers' dimension!
Wasn't that technically already inferred from Book 1? The ending of that one made it clear time flows normally on the train.
@@RavenStarMedia With regards to the time aspect, Yes, and it was confirmed by the show's creator in a later interview. However, there was no mention as to whether or not the Infinity Train existed within a Pocket Dimension, some completely separate plane of existence (i.e. Heaven/Hell/Limbo/etc.), on an alien spacecraft, on another Planet, or somewhere in-between until Book 4!

I think that Amelia's usurp is connected to how the Ghoms were made. We have seen no Ghoms in Book 4 despite seeing their presence in all other books, and the Book 5 storyboards as well as Owen Dennis confirmed that we were going to get more info about the Ghoms in Book 5. And while Amelia did care about humanizing people and her actions by taking off the shoes were probably what she thought was the best she can do, she falls to the same pit as One when she took over the train without the consent of the passengers, which can end up having negative effects (eg: Reiterating Ryan's trauma and increasing his number, or potentially endangering other passengers). So we were supposed to get the creation of the Ghoms in Book 5, and I have a few theories.
First is that Amelia accidentally created them during her experiments to make Alrick and let them loose before she usurps One, which ends up creating their conflict. Second and more likely, Amelia successfully made Alrick/a proto-Alrick (possibly the turtle in the storyboards), and this angers One. One kills this experiment, which leads to their battle. In the heat of the moment, One creates a Ghom to kill Amelia, yet ends up losing the orb and getting defeated. Him killing her first experiment would set her off into a bitter vengeance quest for 33 years and also make it sensible for her to angrily rip him apart into two.
But in the end, I think that Amelia again fell into One's lack of consideration for passengers and denizens, as she used/inherited the Ghom orb, keeping it around for use, like how she turned Atticus into one. And it is beneficial too, as at Book 1 Amelia is only interested in resurrecting Alrick and wants to keep passengers in their cars/out of her business, even if it means they have to die. Hence she keeps around the Ghoms that would be a way to demotivate passengers from going to the Engine and also kill disobedients that may threaten her plans. Also this may be why she has such a high number and her terrifying reputation for Samantha the Cat.
It really sucks cuz I to see how Amelia took over the train from one one
I think that Amelia didn't want to worry about the passengers cause the only aspect she wanted of being a conductor was to bring her old life back. With the boots and suits, she probably felt that she was in control of the them as well but didn't want that responsibility so she just let them free with no restrictions
I really wonder how Amelia got her clothes back while the other passengers were most likely still on their uniforms
On a recent rewatch of season 1, I recognized that, in the chrome car, one-one’s reflection had the same personality as one
Couple things I'd like to point out.
1) Passengers already could have individuality. We saw in the party car that they could remove the uniforms with no issue (just not the boots). Amelia and Jeremy were both wearing normal clothes before One's change of heart, but I assume they were clothes they got on the train (after all, we know there are Mall cars and hotel cars and such so the clothes are coming from places like that). He probably kept their belongings before then because he was under the impression ties to your past would hinder your chance of moving on.
2) personally I believe the primary purpose of the boots is the safety of the passengers. Like you said One seems a lot more callous about life before his fall from grace, but that doesn't mean he wants them to die recklessly and avoidably. I assume if they tried to leave the train or stumbled off between/on a car it would automatically activate.
Amelia probably used those boots to reach the engine, after all it's a lot faster to travel around the cars than through them, and she wants to make certain that no one can replicate her takeover.

Actually, I thought that the unfinished car in season 3 was ejected because it was created by Amelia. In fact Hazel makes the cars eject because she’s Amelia’s creation.

Correct, the pulse that runs through the train and ejects cars was done by Amelia, for the purpose of quarantining her creations in an effort to make up for her past mistakes.

I love Infinity Train. I had no idea that Book 5 was gonna fit like that. I really wish we could see it.
The particularly alarming action that One might of performed might just be one's murder as One was one of the three characters that Owen Dennis mentioned "MIGHT" be a murderer.
I really like the fresh perspective, I think honestly this might at least be part of it!
but I always thought she was keeping one at bay *from taking the train back from her*.. and "we're all on our own" I didn't see as her being guided but a self realization that she is also now on her own because one is now gone / she got rid of him / she broke him and tossed him out of the engine room

I don't think that Amelia deliberately sabotaged/reprogrammed One. I think he was trapped in a logic loop like that the end of Book 2 which resulted in the creation of One-One.
Also I think the whole "We are on our own." Is her realizing that she should be including herself in the before statement.

Ah... no.
1) your number doesn't get that high for no reason, and I don't think it would happen just from overthrowing a volley ball.
2) She tries to murder a 14 year old girl. While she doesn't seem happy that it comes to that (she just wanted to leave her comatose in her tape forever) she also doesn't hesitate. Combine those two facts and I think it's safe to say she's killed before (between books 4 and 1).
She probably never got a number as high as Simon because it was never anyone as dear to her as Grace was to him.
One reviewer that I follow suggested that the train isn't actually a therapy machine. That's just its secondary function. the real purpose is an experiment to study self-betterment. Back in the unfinished car in season 1, One-One bemoaned that he could solve all the problems if only he was better. I think One became One-One because Amelia convinced him that betterment comes through change. I think it's wrong to say that One has murderous tendencies. He's more apathetic because he doesn't understand emotions, but is trying to learn.
That's why, in book two, he's learned enough to include messages to inform the passengers about the train's purpose. Tulip didn't get one, and almost died after running off the train in a panic. This message was probably one of several changes made to lower casualty rates. One-One still views most passengers as little more than numbers, but it's better than nothing but numbers.
Besides the whole sticking to the ground whenever the stewards are around, the gravity boots are cool ✨

This is all so interesting. Oh, what I’d give to be able to see it! At first I thought that One was probably better as a conductor before splitting into One-One, as he was probably a bit more orthodox, but now I’m not so sure, as his newfound emotions would most likely make him more empathetic and understanding of passenger’s struggles. As seen in The Unfinished Car, and as hinted at by Amelia in Book Three, he must still have a long way to go. I’d love to see a “redemptive arc” for him where he learns about his passengers, and what it means to be human, perhaps gaining some humanity himself and making the train a better place for everyone. The very nature of human existence would be a pretty deep theme, but Infinity Train, had it been renewed, could’ve handled it wonderfully.
I feel like his redemption arc may have been season 1 with Tulip! She taught him so many things and helped him be a good friend through empathy.

I didnt realize that Amelia might have been intending to kill herself but if she was then its possible she was kept in the conductor's car with one as a form of suicide watch given how damn easy it is to die on the train apparently

One is a robot. He sees humans as numbers. That's why he creates his two new personalitys. Everytime he shows emotion is to help passengers, not because he feels emphaty, but because that's how he is programmed.
So is no one really gonna talk about how Min and Ryan's story fits into all these. There's literally a clue in Episode 1's title, *The TWIN Tapes*
Couldn't this be the very thing that introduced either One or Amelia the idea of using twin tapes to give him a better sense of life and death. With it, One was able to get his two emotions which is what Amelia planned to have. She deceived One to have two personalities so she can *EASILY split them apart* (like in the photo) causing chaos in One's way of thinking. With them apart, she now can easily tamper with their software AND memory. She then disposes One One to a car where no passenger is in, until Tulip came, and starts the first book of Infinity Train

I really appreciate these videos. I didn’t realize book 5 was going to be taking place simultaneously with book 4 showing Amelia’s story. I really do hope infinity train gets picked up. If not, I hope DC can do a comic run.
I think in a lot of ways what we see of one-one explains a lot. Like why Amelia always refers to him as One, or like what she told Hazel and Grace about not liking how one was doing things. At first I just thought that had to do with her wanting Ulrich back, but now I think its kind of a interesting way of fazing that, like she was having issue with his larger management stile than just a personal beef, especially sense she seems more repentant of her actions now. Also like your interpretation of her take over more, I'll admit, while I was curious about the boots, and explosion, I didn't give the much consideration. Focusing more on her just saying your own your own, seeing as an example of her not caring how her actions hurt others,. But you have a good point about how that can also be interpreted as her taking away one-one's way of controlling things on the train, especially, sense it also meant she lost a lot o control to. Also now that I think about it, part of Amelia's personality is kind of doing what she thinks is right, but not always being considerate of the consequences, just sort of barreling ahead. Kind of like how she was right about needing to study Hazel's affect on the train, but not really considering she was also talking about a traumatized child, and just demanding that she come with. She said herself, after saving Grace and Hazel from the snake, she it not really good at explaining things to people. This might even tie back to Ulrich's death, I've seen a video that suggested she pushed him to try and compete with at a level he was not ready for, and that indirectly lead to his death, and her guilty. In the end I think you are right about Amelia's actions not being entirely self serving, at least not at first, but that she did something necessary but need not consider her consequences. I could actual imagine that being part of her larger redemption arc (if we every are lucky enough to get a continuation), learning to be more considerate of others peoples feelings, and not just barreling though things head first without taking other people into account.
I think the turtle denizen was Hazel from Book 3.

After watching the last season, and knowing that there were (and may yet be) 8 seasons planned, I’ve come to the conclusion that had the series reached its end, it would loop back on itself ad infinitium. I liken it to the original Star Wars trilogy, which started in the middle of the eventual 9 films, then the prequels, then the sequels. The difference here being that the Infinity Train Season 4 would be at the crossroads of an infinity symbol, where the end is the beginning.
The hand monster in the art gallery car hand a number on one of its hands like Hazel did. So was that thing made by Amelia too?

Funny little thing I'm rebloging on Tumblr to bring the show back. I love this show and I feel like Gandalf saying, "Questions that need answering!" Considering that this is my fav show of animation and i want this to be brought back
I think during that scene was the moment amelia ripped one in two and out of the main part in the train which caused it to glitch and she took over. Then she kinda just shoehorned it from there thus the panic because all of the things were a bit overwhelming
I'm still holding out hope that If we get future books one will be dedicated to 'The Man With No Number' from Book 2, hopefully taking place before book 3 as I was hoping he would run into the APEX at their worst.

I didn't really get season 4 tbh, it was quite short and it's just a story of two bois being angry at eachother then not being angry at eachother in the end-kinda
Well, season 3 was pretty dark. It was probably meant to be a lighthearted break before the more serious book 5. It was definitely not supposed to be a finale.
@@profl0g1c38 Yeah, that's accurate. Owen Dennis said that Book 4 was meant to be a breath of relief between books 3 and 5, both for the viewers and for the writers, who were burnt out after the emotional roller coaster that was book 3.
This Cartoon deserves the same praise as Adventure time, SU, and stranger things! The characters the storyline the soundtrack!!! Amazing!!!

My head canon is that the train was created by one as a way to keep time and society stable. If one doesn't have a failsafe so passengers can just leave if they don't solve their problems and let's them die on the train, then that means the passengers, if left alone and not brought onto the train, hold key roles in time and societal progression.
3 years since they took it off HBO max or now know as Max
Amelia giving passengers their things back serves a second purpose-- it returns a whistle to her possession which she goes on to use to hack the stewards.
