hazel is actually voiced by a child, children usually aren't very good at acting, her voice acting is really good for her age.
it was smart of cartoon network to cast a child to play a child.
I assumed that she was but I wasn't sure, that's definitely an ideal casting choice, she sells the role incredibly
Unorthodox Individual I mean CN casts kids as kids before. Remember that the baby bears from We Bare Bears are voiced by actually kids.
Reminded me a lot of Greg from over the garden wall

He'd kill her too!!!

Seriously; It Seems like Grace is getting Better as a Person & Simon's becoming WORSE!!
I’VE ONLY HAD HAZEL FOR FIVE EPISODES BUT IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO HER I’D KILL EVERYONE HERE AND THEN MYSELF 😭😭😭
When are we getting parts 5-10 of infinity train
I’ve seen a few people saying in the comments that “Tuba isn’t really dead because they didn’t show her death”, and while this might be true, it’s highly likely that they didn’t show Tuba’s death like how they showed that one Chrome Car Cop’s death simply because Tuba is an animal, not a sentient piece of metal with mercury looking blood in the appearance of a human. Tuba would bleed out blood if we saw her getting wheeled, which would definitely be very graphic for a kids show.
that just sucks ;-; so much... i'm thinking maybe she's just dead, gone, reduced to atoms. ORRRR she'll get "remade" wherever they make denizens, maybe her consciousness will be preserved and she'll become something different. all i'm saying is she MIGHT return in some way shape or form... i hope so ;-;
Spectacular Sceptile While there is a slight possibility this could happen, I doubt it. After all, One One is the one who designs new trains and the denizens that are inside that train. If they wanted to revive Tuba, they would have to go to One One, and One One would almost definitely decline (Y’know, cause they’re part of the Apex.). And if Tuba could be revived, then what stops One One from just reviving denizens that have been killed by the Apex and sending them to The Mall Car to attack? And if those denizens are killed, One One can just revive them AGAIN. So, if they decide to go with reviving Tuba, that would just make all of the denizens Mary Sue’s.
😭nooo let me hope
@@versumil The denizens are designed to help the passengers get over whatever emotional trauma they may be experiencing, not a private army under One-One's control. We also saw back in Season 1 that most of the cars work like a computer, with orbs housing the information of everything from corgis to mailboxes; even if Tuba died, their data is probably still saved in the car Tuba came from. Lastly we don't really see what One-One is doing behind the scenes and very few cars have been revisited, so for all we know One-One may be going around opening up the last saved file of the denizens the Apex destroys.
Also, simon watched her die, so... yeah, she's probably dead.
Something that I loved in the first episode was when we saw corgis in the unfinished car, which means that Atticus kept his promise from the Unfinished Car episode
Pedro Nonato he sent over the corgi emergency response team!
I love how every season has a different theme each time:
-Season 1: How a passenger experiences his stay in the train.
-Season 2: How the train works.
-Season 3: The cult in the train.
And is funny to know that in the 7th episode of the first season we get to know Lake and then she is the protagonist in the second season, and in the 7th episode of the second season we get to know the APEX cult and now they are the protagonist in the third season😂🤯
...We just have wait to the 7th episode of this season...👀
Let's wait and see
AMELIAAAAAA.
His stay in the train? His? 🤔
wait wut
@@mykittystinksbad2 yeah gotta love when someone uses his as the non gendered term for "how someone experiences their trip in the train". How antiquated to use "his" lol what are we in 1777?
I don't think Simon and Grace ever met Amelia face to face, cause when talking about the old conductor they were referring to her as a he. As far as I'm aware, they saw her robot form and that's it.
all we know is Amelia saved Grace and Grace saved Simon
LOONA STAN MAKE SOME NOISE!!!
I think that's the key they have no idea what's really going on. From this I do see grace correcting the wrong or at least trying to and Simon kinds reminds me of a love struck starscream (transformers) and would totally grab at the power. But I do think we will see a recession in grace until Amelia shows up.
Midnight Dazzle but she refers to amelia as a male, which leads me to believe she's never seen her face or talked to her outside the voice effects, like tulip did
Yeah something doesnt add up there. How do they know about Amelia's number if they dont know about Amelia?
Dude, he doesn't even simply say to Hazel "I killed your protector friend", he said "I *wheeled* her", he gave Hazel the *image* of what he did. That was sick. That was messed up. It's brutal beyond understanding. I didn't think it could get more brutal than Mace's death in Season 2, yet it did, and it wasn't even graphic like Mace's, except having seen Mace's death *we* have the image of Tuba's death. It's so overwhelmingly brutal, I don't I have seen such a brutal scene before.
Seriouly, I watched that four episode Corpse Party anime, and I can only compare this to the guy taking pictures of the mutilated bodies.
It's on HBO max, therefore, we can push more boundaries.
You got jabaited you got jabaited
Don’t worry tuba is alive.
When you stated the "I wheeled her" from Simon I quickly went back to watch the scene and hear because I didn't exactly understand what Simon was saying (due to English isn't my language and no subtitle) and HOLY CRAP THAT MADE ME TERRIFIED EVEN MORE
Twiwite tuba probably is alive
And Simon makes sure Tuba went under too...he doesn’t Have any tact. We get alot backstory and we’ll get more.
CLEARLY SIMON IS A PSYCHOPATH.
Zachary Yamashita He believed he did a good thing and was so confused why Hazel was upset . Grace was upset cause the way he told her ruined how she wanted to ween Hazel away from Tuba.
Well I see Simon as a victim of trauma and manipulation. Simon arrived at the train at only 10 years old and the Cat ended up leaving him for dead and then Grace showed up and showed him the ways of the Apex which seems to have a horrible effect on his mind. With Simon being left for dead and being mentally manipulated by Grace all at the age of 10 has caused a serious influence on him.
Being abandoned by the cat has caused him to have abandonment issues (as shown when he was distraught when he was paired with Tuba or when Grace rushed out to comfort Hazel completely ignoring Simon) and he saw Grace as someone to look up to and he followed her ways to the point where he became her 2nd in command, challenges to have the highest number and always tries to be with her, but learning the ways of the Apex (mostly treating denizens as ''nulls'') has caused him to develop into a sociopath of somesorts.
MossieLeZurche I thought grace was truly upset bc she was changing as we can see with her number going down and she didn’t want anything to happen to tuba. Even when Simon said he would “help” her face and hazel’s look really worried and sad which I felt like grace actually looked like she cared and to the point believed Simon would actually help tuba and nothing bad will happen to her. At first she didn’t care but she started to change and in the rest of the episodes I feel like she’ll keep hazel’s “secret” and hide/protect her from Simon maybe she’ll get off the train and smth will happen to Simon just a theory
Genesis Joseph that most likely will happen cause Grace number is going down and Simons keeps going up. Her feelings are true for Hazel and she gonna start having alot of conflicting feelings.i fee they got sent to were Hazel and Tuba were on purpose . We have to wait and see how the theorys go but im feeling grace is ginna hide Hazel’s real self to protect her or resolve her own guilt. We also gotta rememer simon might be the new leader once he realises he has the highest number now and not grace like before.
I just saw a theory that Tuba was actually the human (transformed in some way, perhaps from staying on the train too long?) and that Hazel was HER denizen. Which, of course, means that we could get a "Simon really killed a human" twist a la the-Woodsman-chopping-down-the-trees-in-OTGW.
thats actually genius but I don’t see how Tuba could change
@@Andrewkingbandrew the orb guns from book 1's finale that change x into y orb setting
Oh that's genius
Tuba had children though.
@@TheBunnyrum I don't know how to break this to you, mate, but humans can have children.
Man, even if he believes that 'nulls' don't actually feel or think anything, imagine a kid with their favorite toy. Something that means so much to them because they've had it for so long, maybe even since they were born. Then imagine taking that toy and sending it through a wood chipper, and then trying to tell the kid that they should be happy about that.
BoJack horseman 4x11
Considering how his "favorite toy" seemingly left him to die, it's not hard to see why he thought that he was doing her a favor by destroying hers.
honestly i would still be so upset about this considering when i was younger i always thought my toys where alive, i felt something about them being there for me, however now i recognize that’s not the case but if i was in this situation regardless i would be as sad as hazel either way.
I freaked when Simon killed Tuba! But reading the comments about how he's the worst (true though) made me understand that that is what Apex is about. They've done this before, everyone in the Apex did. Every other Apex member would've thrown Tuba, this is normal for them. That's why Simon thought he did nothing wrong and was shocked when Grace didn't agree with him. This was the usual for them and now she changed her mind. I really liked him before he killed Tuba because I thought he had more redemption potential than Grace. But I can see now that that might not be the case. Unlike Grace who (as far as we know) hasn't exprienced anything major on the train (except that part where she was saved by the conductor), Simon actually has a grudge against them (being left there by the cat).
I have theory that hazel is actually a denizen of Amelia’s deceased daughter, who died in an accident so when Amelia became the conductor she tried to remake hazel with the train. But since she didn’t really know what she was doing, hazel ran away met with tubo they were there for a while and then book 3 happened. This would explain why her number doesn’t glow and WHY SHE TURNED INTO A F**KING TURTLE!!!
She doesn't LIKE KIDS!!!
And Amelia was trying to get her HUSBAND back!!! not her daughter!!
Oh, well my bad. Wait why does she hate kids? It could because her own daughter was so disobedient. And she could have tried to make a denizen of what she wanted her to be, but then it failed because she didn’t really know what she was doing. And then she could have done her husband who is somebody she knows more than a six year old.
KIWIbee oh I never thought it like that. That works better.
Stupid question but what is a denizen? Havent been paying alot of attention since book 2 😅

Simon on the other hand had no reason to kill Tuba. His motivation was nothing more than hatred for the Nulls. What's more, Tuba was their ally and had no desire to hurt them as long as they did not hurt Hazel.

@Coconut Pal I completely agree, but I'm speaking hypothetically lol
"The Apex at it's core is a community"
"In fact with the opening scene it almost looks wholesome"
I REALLY STRONGLY disagree, the Apex is a cult, fair and square. We saw the attempts of Grace trying to get Jesse into the cult, trying to make him feel loved and needed, and we also saw how she treats the kids: she says to each one that they're her favorite, but to not tell the others; she mocks Lucy for calling a denizen as a person, making her fell bad for it; Grace and Simon are manipulative, the Apex is formed of mostly children and teenagers, because they're easier to manipulate.
The whole first episode made me extremely uncomfortable, from the way they treat the denizens to the way Grace and Simon treat their cult
agreed
Thank you
A cult is still a community, that's a large part of the appeal. It's the things on top of that community base that make it bad.
its mostly simon and trust me he went mad with power and died a gruesome death

“Horrific turtle creature,” it’s clearly a kappa.
that.. is actually an interesting possibility. it has already been suggested that the chrome car represents and intersection with some 3rd dimension as opposed to purely being a creation of the train. maybe there are some other planes of existence where the train can pull people from, but it doesn't quite work right.

I guessed Hazel was a denizen. She kept saying things that reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. And she turns into a crying turtle or rather a Mock Turtle.
That's what I was thinking ! I thought of a Mock Turtle. In the Mock Turtle's song it sings about asking someone to dance with them. Hazel knows how to dance....connection??
(Here is the Mock Turtle's song)
"Will you walk a little faster?" said a whiting to a snail,
"There's a porpoise close behind us, and he's treading on my tail.
See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle-will you come and join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance?
"You can really have no notion how delightful it will be
When they take us up and throw us, with the lobsters, out to sea!"
But the snail replied "Too far, too far!" and gave a look askance-
Said he thanked the whiting kindly, but he would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, would not join the dance.
Would not, could not, would not, could not, could not join the dance.
"What matters it how far we go?" his scaly friend replied,
"There is another shore, you know, upon the other side.
The further off from England the nearer is to France-
Then turn not pale, beloved snail, but come and join the dance.
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won't you, will you, won't you, won't you join the dance?"
i just thought she was really smart
What if the denizen are actually Humans and she's a failed Experiment
@@marismcgarveyhenderson6328 Remember "The Past Car" from Book 1? When we're introduced to Alrick, we see he earned an A+ for his paper on the themes in "Alice in Wonderland." The first paragraph is about Alice coming to understand the world of adults. Book 1 of Infinity Train is about Tulip learning to live in a world her parents created - a world where they aren't married anymore. The second paragraph of Alrick's paper is about identity. Book 2 of Infinity Train is about Lake forming her own identity by living a life separate from Tulip and Jesse forming his own identity by learning to follow his heart instead of simply bending to the will of everyone around him. I think you and Jenny are onto something with the "Alice in Wonderland" comparisons.
I think that Simons actions and character were quite consistent throughout these 5 episodes. He was initially going to confront Tuba, only talked out of this by Grace under the threat of overwhelming physical power, not because he was afraid to upset Hazel, this as well shows that he disregards personal approach, leaving it all to Grace (since he knew her for a long time, i assume that he had never developed the ways to approach other kids with regard to their emotions). After that he was just waiting for the opening to strike. No empathy for Tuba fits well within the philosophy of Apex combined with his personal lack of trust toward nulls. Since he did not developed an emotional bond with Hazel, Simon did not account much for hurting her feelings, but rather celebrated his victory over dangerous enemy, and wanted to share it with Grace, which used to be a good thing in their society. Hence from his point of view, he did nothing wrong, but even better: he outsmarted the train, and gained another member for Apex, who will get over her null eventually.
-
Don`t get me wrong, I`m not justifying his action, just stating that they fit well within given character
Literally the Apex: "Hey, let's race to see who can get their number up the most by wreaking havoc on nulls, smashing property and trash talking each other!"
Literally Simon: *wheels a denizen; brags to Hazel*
Grace: *shocked Pikachu face*
Seriously, I don't get why people are surprised about this
simon's a cold hearted killer
"Tuba's death is the darkest scene in the show"
*Simon's death:* Hah, pathetic.
I have to say, Simon killing Tuba was a bit of a surprise because they seemed to be genuinely bonding a bit just before. Although it isn't entirely surprising considering he had just ran into the Cat who he had compared to Tuba. Grace on the other hand, who has been the biggest sociopath in the series, is having hers go down due to her interactions with Hazel. Grace genuinely looked surprised when Simon didn't come back with Tuba. And I'm a bit perplexed why Simon would admit to killing Tuba when he could have just said she fell and he couldn't get to her in time, or something else! I think that moment was really setting Simon up to be the next villain of this book while Grace will end up having a redemption.
I think Grace will end up keeping Hazel's transformation a secret from Simon until he finds out in the 8th episode. Obviously, they keep traveling together and I really think Simon would off Hazel if he found out right away since he'd likely feel like it's another trick from One One. Grace, up until she started bonding with Hazel, acted 100% like a sociopath. Even when it came to Simon getting hurt, she only went to him after it was quite clear she couldn't make it back to the others in time. THEN she went and helped him up because it would also end up helping her. Everything she did was for her own agenda. She does a good job hiding her sociopathy at times but a careful eye can see all the thought she puts into her actions and how she goes about things to make it seem like it's in the best interest for others, when it's actually for herself in the end. It's only when she stops doing that as much that her number goes down - when she does something without a hidden agenda.
I really do wonder if Hazel is a hybrid or 100% denizen. From what she said, it makes me think her father was a denizen (likely a turtle) while her mother was a human. It sounds like her mother either died (likely in childbirth) or left the train, and if the latter she was probably unable to take Hazel since she had gotten a number at that point (or maybe even born with what her parent's was at the time). It's also possible (although with low chances) that Hazel was born with a zero (AKA the key to leaving) and her mother took that door home. This does make me wonder what happened to her father however it could be that the Apex are responsible for his death, other people like the Apex. Same for Tuba's kids which would explain why she's so wary of other humans. Alternatively, her knowing more about her mother would make sense if she was a failed Amelia experiment, and her hair is blond like Alrick while her skin tone could be explained away by her turtleness.
I also think that Simon and Grace, or at least Grace, know the truth about Amelia and the Conductor. Like, the actual truth. There's a few things they said that don't make sense unless they do know and are deliberately lying. For starters, they say Amelia is a male yet if they saw her number, they not only would they know she's a passenger and likely not the true Conductor but, they would know that she's a female and not a male. It's likely that Grace (and/or Simon) knows why Amelia took over the train and supported her endeavor and that's why she lies for her. Saying she's a male because her robot sounds like one and it helps hide her identity (which could be done for a number of reasons). But, really, it makes no sense as to why the Conductor would have a number, if they did then you'd think it would be zero or something like the infinity symbol. And Grace is smart, so you'd think she'd already figure something like that on her own even if not explicitly told. Bottom line is, I'm positive that at least Grace knows the truth about the Conductor and Amelia yet takes Amelia' side since she once helped Grace. Amelia could even be partially responsible for Grace's disdain for the denizens and viewing them as "things to serve as a tool/entertainment for humans". And now she uses the myth of Amelia and the Conductor who serve her own manipulative purposes.
The whole Tragedy and Comedy mask comparison to Grace and Simon is a good one and I could see it be foreshadowing, even of some of the stuff I mentioned above. Not only is Grace's mask gold like Comedy but she's also the more "fun loving" one who takes pretty much nothing seriously. Meanwhile Simon is already super pale to go along with the Tragedy mask and is fitting because he seems more prone to wallowing in his tragedies. Also, I 100% got the feeling that the opening song was talking about Grace and Simon. Just the whole feel of it gave that impression. From Grace' side, it would be because she moulded him. From Simon' side, it would be partially his crush on her and partially that he looks up to her and wants to be more like her. It's possible that, should Grace keep Hazel' secret from Simon (which I think she will), when he does find out he'll turn against them and possibly assume control of the Apex as their new Leader - since his number is likely already higher and he'll likely use what Grace revealed to him against her to fuel his own vengence. I mean, let's hope his crush on Grace will be his *saving grace* (eh? get it?) but right now his wound was jsut reopened so it could be hard for him to see past it
Personally, I truly think none of the apex kids know the whole truth behind the train or anything involved with it. Even in book 2 they made it sound like they know everything but really they don't. And compare to tulip, while grace is smart and cunning, tulip had a better grasp of the train then she did. I am curious why none of them bother to try and get off the train, or why would they think a human would be able to create such an invention like a train that literally has their own world inside. These questions that we ourselves ask but none of the kids( except perhaps tulip) on board the train even considered. The creator did say should the apex and Amelia ever meet it would not be pretty. I get the feeling someone will get off the train at the end of this book as well but since we're only halfway through it, anything goes. So here's hoping for at least a bitter sweet end.
I’m not reading all that
@@kcmoon2214 I agree. Like I said, I think Grace knows and MAYBE Simon, but probably not unless he was there when Amelia helped Grace. The reason why none of the Apex question the train nor anything else is because of Grace. She is a sociopath and specifically targets the mentally/emotionally weak, which happen to mostly be children with the occasional teen. There are clearly adults who board the train, too, yet none are in her group. Those who do look nearing her and Simon's age/s have likely been with them for years. Grace hasn't let anarchy run rampant in the group (like one may first think) but has instead turned it into a cult. She picked prime targets for cult indoctrination, went through the whole process with them (like we see her attempt with Jesse and then do with Hazel), and then made sure they had unquestioning loyalty. She controls them with fear and faux love.
Yeah, I saw the thing about Amelia not liking children xD That along with her (supposedly) trying to better herself now, will probably not make her happy. Especially for the cult leader to be someone she once helped...you know, unless Simon usurps Grace :v
@@MoiraMcGill I could see that happening. I am hoping for more back story with simon and hazel next week. Cause now we know Grace does have a family and a reason to go back( unless her family is crappy but I doubt it. Pretty sure any decent parents would miss their own kids if they been gone that long). Unless its one of those places where time is off and if someone decided to get off they revert to their original time and age on the day they got on. Kinda like a rip van wrinkle thing but reverse where time goes back to the present for them and not the future. Which I guess if its true, then example; should simon get off ( its easier with him cause he said his age already) would revert to a 10 year old but would have his memory as a teen.
@@kcmoon2214 I don't think there's any time dilation because we can tell how long Tulip was on the train. We get a 7months later text at the end of her arc along with the indication that she's now going to that camp she wanted to the previous year. Meaning she was on the train for five months.
From the sounds of it, Grace's parents were the kind that cared more about what they wanted for their child than about what their child might want/enjoy. She even gives us a bit of her own backstory when she questions Hazel. I would also bet that her parents had her do gymnastics as well as dance classes considering how she moves so naturally. I would also bet that Grace gets some of her personality from how she was raised (i.e. sporting some of her parent's traits) based off of how she herself acts and what she's hinted at about her parents. I don't think they're necessarily sociopaths like Grace seems to be, but I do think they could be self involved narcissists with high expectations who may act two faced when it serves them. Or at least her mother, since she's the only one that was actually referenced.
I, too, hope we get a lot more though

On the contrary, Radicalbeast. I’m curious to know what Hazel True backstory is but I still like the Child of a Passenger idea.
Or maybe there was a forbiden love of a turtle null and a passenger
geek 2034 that was my guess.
Don't mean to brag but I figured out she was a denizen before the show started.
My personal theory going in was that Hazel 'completed her arc' in a way. People are brought to the train to learn a lesson or overcome a trauma, so I thought Hazel would have been an orphan and when she found Tuba, no longer felt the need for parental attention and ended her 'arc.' Not to mention Tuba lost her daughter, and Hazel filled that niche, so both of their 'arcs' were completed simultaneously. There seemed to be at least some evidence too, when Hazel said she didn't know what kind of parents she had. Obviously though, that last episode twist kinda booted most of that out the window lol.
I had the same idea watching first 4 episodes and got really confused after the fifth episode. It fits together perfectly but the twist just ruins it. I am excited to see what happens next!
@@reyalfa18 It could also have been because both of her parents are either dead or abandoned her, and there hasn't been any evidence the number is either painted or inactive at all, its all speculation at this point
Well let me add on to that what if though that time that she was with tuba she eventually did nothing to make her number go up or down so there for since her actions for that very purpose to why she was on the train wasn't working he shut off her number to which is the reason for it not to glow and maybe just maybe what if she is turning into the "null" is because she eventually started to see it as her home and was just living there like she had always been there that could also lead to the glitch in the system of the train into maker her one due to thinking that she is one of them created by the train. Or something like that but just a theory or rather my thoughts on it.

The funniest thing is no one has seemed to notice yet that when grace walked by and saw the bear, he ended up tying his robe closed cause it was open before. So, I definitely say you're right, lmao
Grace litterally said she met the "Conductor", she said he saved her once...
The "he" heavily implying that she met Amelia while she was piloting her mecha. So if the two met now, she is not going to recognize her and will likely be shocked by the truth about the Conductor she worshiped for so long.
Well when they described the conductor to Hazel they said it was a guy in a hood, so yeah.
And she will save her again
(Looks at 6,7,8)
I think Hazel might've been Amelia's attempt at creating a Human Denizen, after all she tried twice to make a car that was exactly like her old home, her old life, so of course she would create fake Humans to go along with the fake recreation of her life
The main reason I think she might be tied to Amelia is because of Tulip's fight with her in the first season where she says "You can't even make a car without any TURTLES IN IT"
There is absolutely no way that a Human Denizen transforming into a Turtle isn't somehow connected to Amelia
if thats the case then simon fucked it all up
I think she couldnt make Alric with the train, so she tried to edit a human passenger into Alric. And she accidentally broke the number and turned Hazel into a turtle monster with no memories.

Simon and Grace are an excellent example of a toxic relationship. They both met when they were young and hurting and they've hurt and twisted each other throughout their years on the train. They wont last unless simon decides to leave too
the worst part of simons betrayal was prob the parallel, that he helped tuba in the car, but outside, he killed her. it feels like a sort of reference to how the beetle creatures are on the outside of the train, that the outside is where the monsters are.
I think that Simon's number will go up to infinity and then he will never be able to lower it. getting stuck in the infinity train forever
My theory: The nulls were humans, they're not assigned to be passengers.
There's a theory (Ok, it's my theory) that Tuba isn't actually dead, she fell from the train but she might be still hanging to something, so she somehow gets back to them, and starts a battle with Simon (and maybe Grace), the fight that we saw in the Book-3 Trailer.

Grace: YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE CHOSEN ONE!

Here's my guess as to what could play out next:
Grace is going to have seconds thoughts about the life she's lived as an Apex and she's going to be working harder to help Hazel. Simon unfortunately won't let go of the Apex ideology. He may actually see Hazel as a trick by One-one and decide that she was never actually a passenger, but instead a null trap. The fact that he's allowed his number to keep going up while Grace has had hers going down means unfortunately, he's going to separate himself from Grace and view her opinion as less valid when she starts suggesting they need to fix Hazel. Simon will likely work to get back to the Apex car and rally the kids to his side (and likely use Grace's falling number against her). If the other Apex kids end up meeting Hazel, there's a good chance they will only see her as a null and...well we've seen how they treat nulls. And THAT is how Grace will face her ultimate challenge: Choosing between Simon and the Apex or saving Hazel. Grace may even start to think the best way to save Hazel is get her back to normal and off the train.
That's all I got though. Infinity Train's really good at surprising me, so I don't know EXACTLY how we're going to reach our conclusion. This is just my guess as to how the characters are going to react.
This seems fair. The rules of the Apex basically say the leader is the person with the highest number (Grace has said this a bunch of times), so the kids will see that Simon has reached the top of the apex (see! pun!) and she'll have lost that too. Maybe she'll see them as the feral unit of "Wild Boys" they've become and that'll speed her number drop further. But without Simon and Grace presenting a united front, the Apex might collapse. That could be interesting.
I see Grace as the more evil of the Duo. She's a manipulator, is always deflecting blame to others and had the higher number of the duo.
Simon's backstory is getting revealed and I believe this season isn't about Grace or Simon leaving the train but is about Hazel leaving the train to save both her and the train from her glitch in the system.
However I don't think Grace is going to leave the Apex and we still have a few episodes until episode 8 like you said and there is one thing I have been hoping is brought up since Book 2....the Old man without a number.
Remember when T2 pulled that old man from his pod to get to the Tape Car? He is on the Train with no number and the Apex who see people without numbers as 'Nulls'.
I see this going two ways, one Grace tries to prove to Simon and or the Apex she's still in charge by taking out a Null they come across who isn't Hazel and given what I was just talking about I think you can see what I'm getting at, but since Amelia is with them she might intervene.
for the second thing I need to explain some things I noticed about Grace. She sees like a beauty pageant girl who is used to lying and manipulating to get her way. At the start of this Book when the Kid's are bringing their offering's to her she lies to each of them saying their gift is the most important to her whereas Simon just accepts them and even take's a Null she wanted to destroy. I believe this action of saving a Null was meant to contrast his actions with Tuba and perhaps foreshadow a future event with Hazel. Grace care's very much about her image as in the last Book she was very subtle in trying to manipulate the Human protagonist into joining and I don't think someone like that would give up power. Grace like's being admired or important to people so when she found Hazel she tried to become the center of her focus not to help Hazel but for her own Ego and eventually getting a soft spot for her. But when they get back to the Apex and everyone else has expectations of her(that she set for them) she will turn of Hazel. Because she does actually care about her she might try to let her escape but she want's the crowd. Then there's Simon I think he's going to be forced out of the Apex by Grace for one reason or another and while he has a long way to go I can see him being a sort of companion helping others leave to train to get them to avoid the apex.
Maybe Grace can accuse him of being an Adult and therefor a traitor? Men do show more visible signs of age because of facial hair so she might be able to lie and say Simon has been there longer then she has.
That's what I think what do you think?
Hazel being an alric clone (/their theoretical child) makes a lot of sense
ANOTHER CLONE??? AS IF LUZ NOCEDA PROBABLY HAVING ONE WASN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU!!!
This dude straight up murdered the best friend of a little girl and told her straight to her face while having a proud smile....

Simon is not a bad person, Grace either, Simon does not even hide what he did because he trusts that he did something good he believes that he did not hurt anyone, that he did what he had to do so he believes that Nulls are dangerous and they only pretend be good.
More than an act of "evil", it was an act of ignorance.

man, i really wanna talk about the music in this show, and how it helps tell the story. specifically, i wanna mention episode 2. also, i wanna talk about episode 5:
so, on episode 2, while simon and grace are trying to convince Hazel to join them on their way to the Apex Mall, the music tells a spectacular story. if you listen with attention, the scene starts with simon trying to convince the little girl to come with, but he uses complicated terminology and he is being rash and direct. that is reflected on the music, that is loud and angry. but then grace steps in and the music immediatly stops and changes to a soothing, manipulative and calming music. almost as if she is tip-toeing around words and carefully cherry picking frases that'll bring Hazel to their side (which she is). but then Tuba comes in and the music becomes abrasive and angry again, because that's how Simon is feeling at her sight, and he lashes out bc of those feelings. then grace steps in and the music returns to that calming tune. this goes back and forth through the whole scene. i know its a simple technique, but its those details that really enhance a viewing experience.
on episode 5, i figured on the beginning that Simon would do something dumb and start a fight when he tried to make a bet with Grace. that foreshadowing was confirmed the instant Tuba and Simon were paired. but nothing happened and the episode was continuing normally. then they gave both of them a bit of developent in the cage and a red flag popped up in my head. after this, there was the scene in which simon stepped above her with a serious face and i got chills, and flashbacks from the lion king popped up. nothing happened and i figured this was gonna come up later. and oh was i right. when i saw her hanging on for dear life and simon said he was gonna help her i realized what was going on. and a few seconds later a mirror shot of the scene of inside the wagon appeared on my screen. but this time he was smiling. i got chills all over my spine when i figured out what was gonna happen. beeeeeaaaautiful directing and shot composition with those mirrored shots. helps tell the story better then the dialogue.

Well, I haven’t seen the show, largely because of how random it’s airing time seemed in the past. Now though, I might try to get into it. I wouldn’t be surprised if we did get another dark plot twist in episode 8 again though.
I feel like this show wants to tell you bigger numbers don't mean better. That you can't use a number (like the score on a test, or how much money you have) to judge a person. Why? because bigger numbers do not mean better person. The Apex thought a bigger number was what it was better, when, in reality, the goal is reaching 0. It technically didn't make sense but if you think about it... it does. Amelia's big mistakes were seen as good by the Apex when, well, those were big mistakes. The bigger the number gets, the more problems you have. The worst it gets. It's not about a bigger number, but a better person. That goes way beyond anything i've seen in shows. Why? because it is human to want a bigger number in everything. It's a bit like what undertale did when showing a higher level meant a vile power. And Simon was just a human, who couldn't move on. His ideas were established in a way he was far too gone, now i woundn't say that because the train is constantly making you grow as a person. Showing no matter how wrong your actions are, or how high your numbers are, there is always an opportunity to change. That's the morality of the show. That change is possible and there is always a way to escape and a way to regret. Simon's point was that he had oppportunity to change but he refused to.
We didn’t hear a crush noise, you never know😥
