    excellent mate . said it before one thing about fx guns they are pretty easy to get apart and put back together although i guess they have to be because you will probably need to get them apart a fair few times 🤣🤣🤣 i am glad you took a pretty spot example apart and got it to shoot well . not saying all fx guns are crap but the ones i have seen have very poor QC.
    not to long ago fella down the club bought a crown 20 shots in group all over the place and the barrel shot forward obviously was loose from the factory 😱😱😱

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  9 месяцев назад +4

      i had that on my GRS crown with the supper light barrel system, the liner retaining nut was loose and the liner went forward in less than a 100 pellets 😳 i do like fx guns but they should pick up there QC it's very frustrating if you can't sort them yourself and you shouldn't have to ☹thank you for watching 👍👍

    Hi Jake! Thank you so much for all your videos, they are very much appreciated by all of us who follow you..
    I'm asking this here (very eary!) in the hope it will catch your eye and get me my response, I'm trying to decide if I'm going with the FX Panthera/Impact system, ala Matt Dubber et al, or with the Daystate/BRK Ghost system (which I only recently realised you were loosely affliated with); for an FAC system, which in your unbiased opinion is the better to invest in? I'm mostly interested in using them for hunting/pest control, and especially attracted to units that can be swapped between different calibres (mainly .22-.25 but possibly extending all the way to .30) but would love something so accurate it could be used for competition as well (so maybe down to .177 as well) and had pretty much decided on a Ghost or Alpha Wolf..noone has a good word to say about their customer service tho! Again and again, in my competition circuit, everyone I ask will say a variation of "..they're good guns, untill something goes wrong, then good luck getting someone to help you.." and "..FX have a bad reputation, but mostly because people mess them up and don't know how to fix them.."
    Any real merit to either extreme?!
    Thanks again! 👍🏻

      Hi, that is a tricky one 🤔 they can both be great guns, i think if you like tuning and tinkering and are happy to work on pcp's then the FX system would be the one to go for, you can get good power lots of accessory's all the cal's pretty good on air and you can tune it for many different projectiles👍 if you just want to get it out of the box and shoot it's the ghost, you can swap cals very easy like the fx but only up to 30 there is no 35 in the ghost, it will make good power it's good on air and very reliable you can get the accessory's you need👍 i think the service is dependent on where you are in the world and the dealer you have with both brands, i would agree lots of people tinker with there FX and make it bad but i see lots that need to be tuned out of the box to make them shoot😳 both guns have proven to be good in competition 👍 for me it would be the Ghost simply because it's easer to live with, simple to work on and i really do like the one peace chassis it makes a very solid platform 👍 i probably haven't helped much but i do like both guns, there is good and bad in both, my panthera is fantastic now it did need some work to start with i don't think that's the case with them all, my Ghost is a great gun i just get out of the box and shoot it just works ever time 😊

      @sub12airgunners Thank you! I'm based in the UK, God's own County (Yorkshire of course) hence the "FAC" restriction, and was really trying to support our own manufacturers but not at the expense of real performance; if all else was equal I'd go for the Ghost (I have two Air Arms PCPs, for example, but went with the Weihrauchs for springers as I think they're better)
      I didn't like the barrel liner/shroud arrangement of the FXs, it smacked of cheap compromise rather than excellence, and was pretty much decided on a Ghost but as I said every single person I spoke to discouraged me from the Daystates..shame really. Then I bought £200 worth of pellets from Daystate direct and they sent me the wrong calibre! Pretty much cinched it.
      Thanks again!

    So you don’t recommend any lude on the hammer assembly, even the dry molly lube?

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  7 месяцев назад +1

      we don't put anything on the hammer but you can use dry lube with know issues

    • @wsmc8275
      @wsmc8275 7 месяцев назад

      @sub12airgunners
      Copy. I noticed the factory lube installed on the probe assembly migrated onto the hammer. That may explain the random inconsistent FPS. I cleaned everything, polished up the hammer, weight and spring then put it back dry. Hopefully this corrects that issue. I appreciate your attention to detail and taking pride in your work. Not many of you guys left out there.

    • @sub12airgunners
