- This is a travel guide to Lombok, Indonesia, (the BEST island in Indonesia!) focusing on the South Coast of the island.
In this video we show you around our favourite town, Kuta and its many many beaches! It is one of the cheapest places we have stayed in Indonesia overall and it has everything you could ever want, from surfing to snorkelling and nightlife to amazing food. You NEED to visit Lombok next time you're in Indonesia!

Is there a local bus transportation from one place to another on the island of Lombok? Thanks.
They have shuttle buses that go to the main places, but taxis might actually work out cheaper if there is 2 people or more, depending where you are going. The best way is to rent a bike!!

This is very true for many countries in SE Asia, locals always get things cheaper! Its possible to get cheaper also if you can speak the local language, they will really appreicate it 🙂 you're lucky you have your wife to buy things at the local price!

We went snorkelling not diving, don't know how much diving gear cost, but snorkelling gear cost us 25k each 🙂

1:23 "The beaches never get busy and there's always somewhere to relax without being disturbed." Yes, except for the dozens of women and children constantly trying to sell you blankets and bracelets. They don't want to take no for an answer because you might be one of the less than 10 tourists they see that day so if you don't buy they wandered the beach in the broiling heat for nothing all day. You can't buy from them all and feel bad for them.
Some beaches don't allow them to sell bracelets and there's plenty of deserted beaches too. Only the busier beaches have people selling stuff, which you can avoid if its really a bother, but its just people trying to make a living. Yeah you do feel bad for them but like you said, you cant buy 50 blankets!

We didn't stand on any coral, it was a rock with nothing on. We always make sure not to harm anything ✌
@@TravelsonToast Sorry to be a party pooper but I can confirm you are standing on a coral colony in this video (3:32), might have looked like a rock but it is actually a species of a type of coral called Porites, it has nothing on it because corals actively prevent anything from growing on top of them. And also taking starfish out the water is very stressful for them! Great video apart from that though :)

Standing on the reef! Noooooo no no no 🤨 1 person, not so bad, 1000 people do it over a year or so and it harms the coral. Please be aware

I fear that Lombok will become as polluted as Bali
The Indonesian government have plans to make '10 new Bali's' across all of Indonesia to develop tourism, one of these places will be Kuta Lombok, so yes unfortunately one day it might be like Bali. 😕
