You can also progress the security skill fast, inside the simulator is a terminal you can hack Start the sim and immediately get out of the chair, go to the terminal, hack it, leave, and repeat
Great tip! Just wanted to add, for those who don't see the Pilot floor on the elevator, that you need to initiate the recruitment process with the UC Vanguard. It's on the ground floor to the left. Talk to the commander and finish the recruitment process. Thanks again
@@jasonanthonywebster8859 getting up is how you are able to hack the debug terminal in the sim to rank up your security skill... I used it every time and never had any issues
This was super helpful, thanks. I'd basically shot through the main storyline and arrived pretty underleveled with Frontier unmodified and didn't fancy the combat grind (I'm an Elite Dangerous, triple Elite veteran, so I know what a grind is ;)) so this was brilliant to kick back for an hour and get my Class C licence. Cheers! The only comment I would have to people is that the EARLIER you do this in your journey the better, as you still need to accrue all the XP to have the skill points to level, and this is a lot longer at level 35 than level 5
There’s another way to make it even easier as soon as you start the simulator, pause the game get out of your seat in right behind the chair to the right is a consul go in and change the settings to help you out. It makes gameplay much easier on the higher levels for the simulator.
Also he commends you if you slap every museum button, you cheat (debug mode mode as stated) and you beat every simulator wave, your UC Vanguard signing bonus becomes 20,000 creds!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I would just like to add, it's one thing to level up certain skills by using it enough times but its a completely different thing to have to level up your character in order to gain a single skill point and spend that skill point on a particular skill to level up that skill. I quite dislike this mechanic. I find skill points needed to level up skill, quite draining. It should've been, you use 1 skill point to unlock a particular skill, then, you use that skill enough times to level up. For example, destroy 10 ships to rank 1 in Piloting, Destroy 20 for rank 2, destroy 30 for rank 3 and so on. Currently there are 82 skills, each with 4 ranks, so, you need 328 skill points in order to unlock all skills and rank. But it should've just been 82 skill and 82 points.
You're great, thank you for all your help. I didn't know how I was gonna destroy enough ships, especially when all the pirates split when they see the Mantis.
There's a huge caveat to this, which is you will need the points from leveling up first, because you will not get enough xp to level up 4 times just by doing the simulations for this.
Set up an outpost and build resource extractors to get materials for crafting. There's a video from a guy called Vash Cowaii that shows you how to build a really good xp farm for only 950 credits. You can do it right at the start of the game with 0 perk points in outpost building.
You can get alot of xp for skill points from doing the temple missions, they're really quick albeit very tedious. 200xp for each temple I think, plus around 65xp for killing the guardian and then some xp for surveying as you run to the temple from your ship.
And I’ll give a bonus tip which everyone should know, if you go to the highest difficulty area you can access and you find passive fauna you can cash out on as many free levels as you want they don’t fight back and give as much xp as a mission or more lol
Glad to see u again i play also Starfield i watched ur videos before 3 years ago for minecraft dungeon videos ur channel is changed a lot and more subs congrats! :3
Don't forget about the Debug console which you can use to give yourself an edge. BUT!! You can hack an Advanced lock under the Authorized Users option for more goodies. However, if your Security skill isn't leveled up once, you can find an Access card under the left Simulator as you go underneath and turn left. It's sitting on a yellow tool cabinet. Have fun!! That's an order!! 😂😂
Hey, just wondering when we can expect an outpost guide? You snuck in a peak at your outpost a couple videos ago but haven't mentioned it again since. Great videos, definitely worth the watch.
Currently playing while listening to this the and game crashes as soon as the recommendation to save game between sessions came up, thanks for the tips haha
I've just found this video, as I'm heading to Jemison my game crashed 🤣 I'm looking forward to doing this but I want to build up some skill points first 👍
What others said, but technically you don't have to join the Vanguard to use the simulator. Actually passing three waves of the simulator is required to join the Vanguard. So it's the other way around. You tell Cmdr Tuala you want to join, and that gives you access to the simulator. Then, you can use it to your heart's content.
For some reason the piloting simulator doesn't even work for me. I sit in the seat and no enemies spawn. The quest doesn't progress at all. I even tried disabling all mods and it still didn't work.
i would like to add that yes you can upgrade you security hacking skills lockpic by exiting the chair and going back to simulator terminal then you can click debug and add upgrades to the sim ship as well as two allies and with a succesful hack of the terminal then you can keep those active for all tears and is how you get the second ally ship and there is a place to buy digipics on this same location just diff side of the city and down an elevator there is a shop who sells the digi picks
Trying to take out the UC Vigilance currently so this guide is about to help me alot haha that thing is level 100 so thanks Alot for this video. About to try this soon as im done with breakfast
You can debug the simulator computer once an enemy ship appears in the simulator. Just leave the cockpit and find the computer. Will have to pick a lock.
do i need to put the initial skill point into piloting to be able to lvl up this skill cause i have already done the simulator like 4 times and dont have rank 1 of piloting
If you haven’t figured it out yet, you need to put the initial point in it to start. Then each rank you have to kill a certain amount of ships. So you need enough skill points to level it up every time.
I wish I knew about this hours ago... I've been hopping from world to world trying to get ship spawns and almost always I'm heavily outnumbered. Allied ships also keep stealing my kills. One annoying thing I've noticed about ship combat is when you fully disable the engines of an enemy ship they somehow spin on a dime to always fire at you. wtf even.
Yeah, not a fan of the space combat either. The ships are made of paper so if you have more than 2-3 enemies in maneuverable ships firing at you, the fight is over before you can react.
Please, do not play this game, for your own sake. I have played the game all quests and side faction quests, maxed out all skills and gone New Game Plus. This game should be boycotted/cancelled. Do not waste your time or money on this game.
