_Pandamonium!_ Mind, blown. With _Blackstar_ & _Fat Albert_ - yep, that was my 1982. Thank you, sir.
Saturdays in front of the tv! So fun!
Yass!!
I haven't seen this since I was a baby in diapers thank you for sharing this! It's really brought back some really early special memories of being a kid in the early 80s!
I love the Captain Kangaroo show.I watched a lot.
Same here
Captain Kangaroo was the 1st show I remember seeing as a child. He was such a friendly presense on tv with young kids for such a long time. The show ran from 1955 until 1984. It's kind of sad that it is rare to hear his show mentioned anymore . I remember feeling a bit sad when it was announced that the show woud be ending soon. Bob Keeshan would appear later as the host on CBS storytime .
Yup, I was a baby when his show moved from CBS, to PBS, and I definitely remember CBS Storybreak...that theme song was just rockin'.
Yes, the Captain is the the first show I remembered as well!
I was right in the middle of my captain kangaroo phase.
I was in 1st grade turning 6 years old in October. Good times 🥰🥰
ha haa me too! except january
Man what memories!
So awesome. Im off work today. Great way to start the day!!! Mr. M Media! If I ever had a hero, its you brother. Thank you!
You rock!
This is where Captain Kangaroo was cut back to just being seen on saturday mornings,
and Filmation saw its final original network TV show, the 2nd Gilligan's Island spin-off, Gilligan's Planet!
The slinky song, always plays in my head when I walk down stairs, anywhere...
lol
best time to be a kid!!!
yep
Pandamonium was a all time fav of mine. I only got 4 episodes. I wish someone would release it. What good is a show just sitting on a shelf somewhere. Great job on the toons Mone.
During 1982-83, CBS was rerunning decades-old episodes of Speed Buggy for 1 more season on a network Saturday Morning lineup.
_Speed Buggy_ in his last hurrah on Saturday Morning network TV.
We are such an amazing generation to have these cartoons as our childhood, I wad thinking, if Pablo Esobar, didn't funnel 800 billion dollars of cocaine into the USA in 1980 to 1988, I don't think the Cartoonists and illustrators, would have been so motivated 😉
Lmao
Dude, I had those Indiana Jones action figures! I always made Indiana fight Han Solo 🤣 And Captain Kangaroo. Such great stuff. Simon & Land of Chalk Drawings was my favorite. Thanks again, Mone!
lol i never knew any kid who had those figures, I saw the movie as a child at the theatre in 1981 and omg. It scared the living shit out of me
@@MoneMedia 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah there are a few scenes in that movie that were pretty graphic & scary for someone that young. I loved it lol

Laverne & Shirley in the Army was an ABC show. BTW, that Captain Kangaroo episode was from Halloween (Saturday) 1982, partly hence that Monster Mash sketch @ 41:00.

Was the Daffy and Speedy Show intro taken from NBC's Daffy and Speedy Show from 1981-82? It looks like the NBC show's intro, plus I think there's a teaser for Little House on the Prairie in there. Also, did CB Bears/Undercover Elephant really appear on Captain Kangaroo? That's wild. Thanks again for the memories.
yes, cbbears and undercover did appear in Captain Kang later episodes, as with the daffy show, I'm not sure, but that's the only intro I could find from 82.
46:50 - WHAT IS THAT DUDE DOING?
The New Fat Albert Show had new episodes in the 1982-83 Season. They didn't Air The Fat Albert Easter Special during Saturday Mornings.
