What a gem to have found these Sat morning cartoon videos on RUclips. Like everyone else, I was enraptured with the Smurfs for awhile back in the day…I likely woke up excited to get my cereal and sit in front of the tv to watch this exact broadcast 33yrs ago. Kids today have so much technology and wonders at their fingertips, but what they lose are more valuable: the listless but wonderful days out with friends trying to have fun and…those precious few hours each Sat morning watching cartoons.
So comforting to watch these complete with commercials and bumpers. A quick time-travel escape from the stress and complexity of being an adult, and back to the warm memories of being a kid again. The biggest problem back then was deciding which channel to watch if I wanted to watch 2 or 3 different cartoons at the same time! These are so therapeutic and make me feel a lot like I did back in those good old days. Please keep them coming!
I love Saturday Morning Cartoons. I grew up watching these cartoons when I was a kid. Now I am 55 years old and I still watch Saturday Morning Cartoons still. Iam glad that RUclips have these cartoons to watch for free. RUclips has wonderful movies and cartoons on it .
Out of all the years of cartoons, there was something special about the ones from 1980-1985. Not only did they incorporate the really good ones from the 1960's like Space Ghost, Herculoids, Scooby Doo and Flintstones but they also had some new goofy ones like Richie Rich, Goldie Gold, Smurfs, Shirt Tales and Mighty Man and Yuk. These were what cartoons were all about...non violent, goofy and fun. Its so sad and disgusting to see what they've evolved into. Thanks for the memories dude. You're really bringing back the best years for a kid to have grown up. 💯💥💫😊
I love the fact that you leave the commercials intact!!!! I have alot of these cartoons but the intermissions/commercials give it the real feeling of a Saturday morning!!! As always, you do great work, thank you!!!!!!
Im 48, i have a 20 year old son. I showed him these old Saturday morning mainstays and he was baffled! He was surprised by what passed as “children’s programming” as well as all the cereal and toy commercials, lol!!
Born in 68 in Philadelphia i would wake up at 6am and get ready for cartoons. I miss Saturday morning cartoons. Stupid people made stations take them down , they finally stopped around 95/96
Parent groups saw the immense popularity of Saturday morning cartoons, falsely concluded that they were bad for kids and DEMANDED that cartoons meet their educational standards. Needless to say putting heroic storytelling in the background turned all of them to crap and kids stopped watching, companies stopped advertising and studios stopped making them. It turns out that the "harmful" fantasy stories we watched as kids sparked imagination, fueled curiosity and inspired kids for education on their own.
Morning Mone! 1:00:00 This is the origin of Smurfette! I love these old bumpersl These are some of my earliest memories. 2:22:00 It's the Spidey and his Amazing friends opening, but I think that's an older Spiderman episode, Good stuff though. That guy has an epic voice that doesn't quite fit Spiderman. That show is surprisingly dark. The best thing about this whole vid is it's a reminder of how much the early 80's were basically the 70's fade out. It's hard to type lying down. Time to get up. Thanks Mone!
I absolutely love your videos💜 I can always count on you taking me on an awesome trip to my childhood...ur amazing Thanks Many blessings,Light🌟Love❤& Peace☮
The actress who played Glorious Gal in live action and voice in the cartoon on The Kids Super Power Hour , three years later in 1984 ,was a phalic shaped popsicle sucking lady of the evening in the Clint Eastwood movie Tightrope .
Great 👍 job to put on today’s trip down memory lane! How great to see a full episode of Bugs/Speedy and Bullwinkle. Usually these "all new' versions have legalistic mumbo-jumbo that prevents only the opening and closing themes to air. Thanks for that, Mone. Since I watch your shows during the morning, does the Bungalow offer breakfast? Yummy.
I remember those specials that they used to have on Friday nights that was essentially a commercial for all the cartoons that were going to be on for the new season.
I had Underoos of Captain America back in the day & saw such come back last decade for grownups at Hot Topic, a worthy store franchise. MR MOUTH MR MOUTH...🤣Who could forget that?
I remember enjoying "Kids Super Power Hour With SHAZAM". Live action with animation, compliments of Filmation. After doing their closing song, the audience gets to meet The Hero High Cast during the ending credits. 😌The 80's: You had to be there.
1981 back when The Smurfs and Spiderman ruled the Saturday Morning Cartoon airwaves. There's now way that these shows would not last in the 1970s with parents groups having stricter rules banning violence and quality in cartoons.
Lol smh ... It's so strange people my age 54 can tell when they started using alternative Fred and barney voices .... Same with captain crunch... The replacement was so noticeable 😅
35:00 Anyone else hear the voice of Robert Ridgely? He was Tarzan in the Filmation iteration of the jungle hero and he was the voice of Thundarr the Barbarian! Man! I miss Saturday morning cartoons!

During reruns kids would usually watch the toons on the other channels they missed earlier in the season.
Indeed!!!
At 60 years of age these cartoons are my guilty pleasure. I love a fuzzy blanket lying on the couch watching my cartoons.
These 1980s cartoons are such a classic. 😊😊
Thank you, sir, for bringing back what Saturday Mornings were MEANT for!
A TRUE hero to many of us!
For me the 80s it was all sports , movies 🎥 & cartoons.

I was born in October 1969, so I'm 55 as well. These cartoons bring back happy memories.
Man another Saturday thanks God for another childhood memories.
The commercials and bumpers are pure joy. Thanks for this!

I agree 💯 youtube shows with commericals are both off 📴 the hook & the bomb 💣.
I like the NBC One To Grow On segments.

Saturdays were the best time of my childhood. I really feel sad for this generation that don’t have Saturday morning cartoons.
"Butch Cavity and the Sunrock Kid"? "Bryant Gumball"?
The writers sure had fun with this show.
I'm saving this for Saturday and I'm gonna eat sugary cereal while I watch it
The Smurfs episode is a big one. Probably the only specific episode I remember watching back then.
I like how Smurfette has a change of heart
Nice! Have the little one here covered in chicken pox but, definitely ready and excited to watch this morning.
Hope they feel better soon 😊
