Thanks. I’ll try it.
This idea seems to have corrected the problem I have with pulled shots. Thank you
Awesome !!
Thank you for a very clear and concise description and visual demonstration of exactly what a reverse overlap grip is.
Your very welcome and hopefully you’ll continue using it as it’s been a game changer for many golfers ⛳️
I actually experimented with this myself and was striking the hell out of the ball so I decided to get on the tube to see if it was a thing.. total game changer.
Fabulous results for me immediately using this grip, thank you!!!!
Jerry that is great to hear, and it’s only going to get better once your really used to this grip!!
This has completely changed my game - thank you so much 🙏🏻
Keith, keep at it and I also just finished a lesson earlier with outstanding results as well ⛳️
I literally just thought of this grip because my right hand has always had problems. It continuously wants to turn under and become super strong. It just does it without me noticing because its very comfortable. I almost can't prevent it. I literally have to force it to become weaker. I was considering trying the reverse overlap because i thought it might help. I never really tried it more than a shot or 2 yet
Tim I actually have 2 videos on the reverse overlap grip that I promote on my channel with another coming soon on my “quick tips series” coming soon! Keep at it buddy !!
@DrillFreakGolf awesome. I appreciate. At least someone has acknowledged that grip now so I might try it. I thought I was alone lol
@@timmartin9354 lol yes you are not alone Tim - but one of the few Chosen!!
I will try this as I do flip. Thanks👍
Anthony this should work well for you !!
This is really strange, not tried hitting a ball with it but if you overlap with the right finger the right wrist natural dominates and if you overlap with a left finger the left wrsit dominates the swing.
Seems to be a subconscious movement and probably why it makes you less flippy
I used to use the interlock and sliced everything. It was quite frustrating. I took a lesson with Scott and he had me try the reverse anti grip and at first it felt really weird. I decided to go play 9 at good course and I was astounded at how straight and far I hit the ball. I can't wait to get out again and continue using this new grip.
Eric, That is awesome ! Keep at it buddy!!
The grip is individual, its where everything is when the club v
Contacts the ball. May work for some.
Keep at it buddy as we are seeing tremendous results with our students at our golf academy and RUclips followers using this reverse over lap grip method!
I've experimented with adjusting my grip. The overlap was too loose and the interlock too deep. I did the reverse overlap and it worked though I still need to get the feel of distance with wedges now that I'm hitting better with it.
That’s great and the more you get used to the reverse overlap grip the more consistent you will get. The reverse overlap grip will get you more distance mainly because of the lead hand coming in more flat or bowed and the right hand wing more pronated. Practice and time will get you the distance consistency!! the new “Need for Speed” PYGO challenge is a great way to get consistency as well- take the challenge and be a part of DrillFreak Nation!
LOve your tip, curious if this will work with a driver?
Brian, Yes on any club!! I have one of my top junior players bombing it with this grip!! Many of my golf academy students have switched over to this grip in the pst year or so!! Also great if you have hand or arthritis issues!!
@@DrillFreakGolf thank you for the reply, I tried on range today (in S. FL) and some success, will keep experimenting but excited with some of the results. Thank you and happy and healthy new year!
@@briansquires4507 Happy New year and praying for a definitely healthier 2021! I will be in Hollywood/Miami area teaching for a few weeks starting January 23rd! Keep at it Brian it will get even better after more reps!
@@DrillFreakGolf I'm in Coral Springs, just up the road, maybe once Covid is over, next time you are in area, a lesson. I am following your channel and watched a bunch of your tips. Travel safe and enjoy the weather!
Thank you sir!! And enjoy the channel, we have a new 5 day PYGO challenge coming out in mid January for clubhead speed on the channel suing our patented HZ swing trainer!! Stay safe!
I'm an 11 handicap. I always flipped at the ball growing up. It takes all my mental strength not to do it every shot. I’m going to try this grip. I tried a double overlap hogan type grip a little bit last round and it helped, but was uncomfortable.
Mark, Give it a good shot and stay with it for a bit as we have had great success with our students using this style grip, and especially if someone suffers from any type of arthritis!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks Roy !! This grip works wonders for a bunch of issues !
Love the grip, but not the blister on my trail hand pinkie finger.
Jim, Could be the new positions with the grip change and also maybe too tight of a hold on the grip, but I’d keep at it as my students have had great success with this reverse overlap grip!
@@DrillFreakGolf I’m definitely going to stick with it and will tape the part of that finger until it forms a callus.
reverse overlap has been around for decades.
Well I’m doing this as a teaching pro a long time and never saw it so I’m sure there’s someone out there decades ago doing it but not many !
Especially on tour
Speith
@@maxsmart8954 yep there’s one but as I said not to many especially on tour!
