Fruit should be only eaten on its own, so whilst all these ingredients are good for us according to healthy food combining eat your fruit in the morning and don't mix it with anything else, and stick to salad leaves and veggies in your salads
I’m a salad lover and so happy to see this video
I am concerned about the oxalates too. I love healthy eating and the salads sound amazing to me. I was trying to improve my health and got in a world of hurt instead. Got joint pain, bladder pain, kidney stones and more. Eating a lot of Swiss Chard, Kale, Spinach, beets, sweet potatoes and nuts. These are some of the highest in oxalates. Now that I slowly got oxalates out of my system, I mostly eat low oxalates and smaller quantities of high oxalates foods. Whew, doing much better!
I was told that cooking kale was better. But I was unaware the other veggies you mentioned were high in oxalate, too. I'll have to watch that.
It seems that the topic of oxalates keeps coming up. We will conduct research and create a video on it that explores as many sides and considerations that we can find.
@@vitazenhealth That would be a good idea 💡
What are the low oxalate foods you eat now?
Wow what did you eat or how much did you eat of eat a day cause I eat a lot of spinach and sweet potato because I stop eating regular potatoes the regular potatoes give me pain but not the sweet potatoes 🍠 I’m glad your doing way better 😊❤but I get a lot of joint pain
Classic homemade dressing for greek salads is fabulous.

🙏
Thank you doctor for explaining so i can understand fully very kind of you god bless you ❤❤❤
These ALL look delicious! Thank you.
I’ve got a question… I often make smoothies with a variety of these same ingredients.
Does blending have any effect on the regenerative power and nutrients of these vegetables?
Thanks for your great videos,
- Leslie
I would like to see more recipes.
Love broccoli sprouts for sulforifane
Thank you
Glad you liked the video!
I,m Vegan and I Love salads,Spinach the Popeye always recommended,he's right 😅
Please learn about dengerous of oxalates from Sally Norton.
You can bind oxalate with calcium and also drinking water to flush it out
I have almost all of these ingredients on hand!:)
In that case, your pantry sounds like a dream 😍
Same here.
Excellent video! I try to incorporate a salad with each meal. A variety of vegetables, fruit and an easy homemade vinaigrette dressing makes a big difference than eating a plain salad and store bought salad dressing with unknown ingredients. Eating healthy leads to a healthy lifestyle.
This. I like this line - Eating healthy leads to a healthy lifestyle.
Where can I buy your cookbook!
Does he tell how long to cook cruciferous vegetables if a person has hypothyroidism?
Not a day goes by without a salad. My dinner is also some king of vegetable salad. The dressing is just some olive or aavocado oil. Of course not for fruit salad either.😊
Love that!
I hv done same for 7-8 yrs now. My salad are huge! Many days I either scramble of sunny-up 2 -3 eggs, break them up and toss in salad, sprinkle top with heaping tbls. nutritional yeast! ut breads, sugar,UPF and seed oils Feels great to hv kicked addictive eating habits. I know My nutritional deficiencies were great due to progressively declining heath. Intermittent fasting (16-8 ) Now….pushing 90!🥳 Thanks Dr Li! Another enlightening video.
You would be surprised at how good a vinegar dressing is on fruit eg balsamic and macadamia with black pepper. Very French.
@@marilynmcconnell-twiss3046 Thanks, but I don't want the fruit to be vinegary and peppery.[ Tastes and slaps). By the way , I like vinegar and pepper.
Variety is the spice of life. Too much of anything is not a good thing. Spinich only once a week. And work in some fermented foods a couple times a week or so. Broccoli sprouts, expecially when frozen have even more sulfurofane for great cancer fighting. Throw them into soups, spaghetti sauce, stews etc. Women over 50 no soy!
Love your video's so much cannot wait till your second book comes out in my own language, makes it easier. Do you know when it will be available in Dutch in the Netherlands, Europe? Thank you again Doc Li
More recipes please
Will do!
Yummmm
😊
What about oxalic acid?
Consuming vegetables (that contain oxalic acid) as part of a balanced diet generally poses no risk for most people. Those with specific health conditions like kidney stones may need to moderate their intake of high-oxalate foods, and it's best to consult with a healthcare provider in such cases.
What about oxalates ? Concerned about them.
Agree! I’m concerned about oxalate.
So many conflicting info online.
It seems that the topic of oxalates keeps coming up. We will conduct research and create a video on it that explores as many sides and considerations that we can find.
@@vitazenhealthI look forward to learning the results!!! It is true, so many people are becoming aware of oxalate issues causing many problems. Thank you for being so advantageous about getting the studies going on this topic!!! ❤
@@vitazenhealth I am also curious if nightshade plants and lectins add to more problems with oxalates or cancel out any toxic levels. Maybe there are special combinations that make it all work in a healthful way. I love these kinds of topics to figure out. ❤
I would say eat those with high in oxalates in moderation.
I wonder if you can eat chickpea pasta, or chickpea, orzo, and get the same benefits as eating chickpeas.
I don’t see why not if you make the paste healthy ❤❤❤❤
You can eat chickpea pasta, including chickpea orzo, and still enjoy many of the benefits that regular chickpeas offer. These pasta varieties are typically made from chickpea flour and retain a good amount of the protein, fiber, and nutrients found in whole chickpeas. However, the exact nutritional content can vary, so it's worth checking the labels to compare.
I believe you can!! The ingredients are perfect! I love it!!
where's the recipe links please?🙏🏽

What can I use to substitute? For chick peas ?
Any bean that you prefer, but if you about maximizing nutritional benefits, try black beans, cannellini beans, or lentils
@@vitazenhealth check oxalates in these beans, cannellini have highest with butter beans. If you have kidney issues or inflammation be aware of oxalates xxx
What about oxylates lectins and nightshades. Dr Gundry is against these unless cooked deseeded and peeled
Wondering about this too.
Was thinking the same too.
I wouldn’t take Dr. Gundry’s word if he said the sun was shining. I’d look outside for myself
Which salad you like the most?
Chickpea and Edamame Salad with Red Bell Peppers and Cranberries!!

My husband was just diagnosed with lung cancer. Everything I have read about whole food plant based diet says to not have oils especially seed oils. So now I am confused. Whats the answer?
It depends on who you are asking! There are plants based diet with oil and plants based diet without oil. You have to choose your side. I am not a doctor but after many years of research and experience, I can tell you that not all oils are created equal. Olive oil that you put on your salad is good. Coconut oil and avocado oil are good for cooking. Stick with those 3 , buy good cold pressed ones and enjoy in moderation.
Check out The Gerson Way for curing cancer.
In lung cancer oil is fine olive oil but maybe in a heart problems you would skip oil
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. It's true that a whole food plant-based diet often recommends minimizing processed oils, including seed oils, to maximize the nutritional benefits from whole foods. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare provider or a dietitian who can give personalized advice based on your husband's specific health needs and cancer treatment plan.
Lots of oxalate. Kidney stones.
Doctor told me to drink a lot more water!
Not "the effects of time." The effects of sun exposure and an unhealthy diet.
Yes, but the systems within our bodies do age as we get older.
@@vitazenhealth Lean to eat properly and the systems within your body wont change
Salads are very tastey but you have to be careful where you buy your fruits and veggies bcz they are using Apeel on them. Apeel has at least 2 cancer causing ingredients and CAN'T BE WASHED OFF the produce. Check with your local grocers and but only clean produce.
Yes, all that you’ve stated is accurate but you act as though our fruit is normal and without GMO’s. Consuming GMO’s is NOT good for anyone. So what do we eat opposed to the orange, mandarins, lemons & limes that are without seeds?
we all have a time in this earth. 1 hour time is up we go no salad no diet nothing can make our life longer. that is the truth and no one wants to accept it
The best medicine and the most healthy lifestyle is to take STRESS out of your life (of course if you can). The root of ALL sicknesses are caused by stress no matter how healthy you eat.
Adopting healthier habits like a balanced diet can improve the quality of our lives while we're here
Great point!
@@vitazenhealthExactly! It's not simply about BEING here, but about the QUALITY of your life, while you are here. That's the difference.✌️
@@margokupelian344Definitely mindset plays an integral role to 'good health'. Combine that with gratitude and healthy eating and we have a winning combination.
My maternal grandmother lived 'til 98, no major illnesses at death or throughout life... no operations.. cataracts yes because back then there was no real help for that. That's all. Nothing else.
That being said, all the foods were REAL food, no GMOs and everything had seeds.. everything.. lots were grown in our backyard and even fertilizers were not a thing. We allowed the lizards, birds, etc to enjoy. There was enough. It was a very different life for sure.
Grandfather died at 102.. same thing. Be well everyone. Take care of yourselves. ✌️
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDDDDD , There is also something callede NITRIC - OXIDE Breathing!!!

oil and salt are bad for the heart
