One of Kat's favorite tonearm brands! Our analog manager has worked with Kuzma arms for a long time, and here, she breaks down the Stogi S 12 VTA that comes with the 4Point headshell, on-the-fly VTA adjustment, brass base, and many more features and innovations seen on much higher end arms.

Good job describing this tonearm. I would love to see a comparison video of all the Kuzma tonearms you carry, and also for all the Kuzma turntables.

I wonder if this tonearm would work on a Dr. Feickert Volare, because Kat is doing a great job of selling me on one of these!

@Kat O Thanks Kat! You actually did the setup on my Volare! I had it ordered with the Origin Live tonearm and a Dynavector 10X5 moving coil cartridge a couple years back. It's a thing of beauty!

Anybody else SUPER curious about the rack of vintage gear behind Kat's right?

I sooo wanted to go with Kuzma a few years ago but could not find a dealer with anything in stock back in 2018. I did get a VPI Prime however and for the money it’s fantastic. I do wish you could get extra arm boards drilled for a Kuzma arm at least. Keep up the great analog reviews Kat!
Btw the Focal Aria 948s I bought from Upscale are superb, as was the whole purchasing experience.

XL is pure audiophile porn. Saw one at CES 99 and fell in love with it. Would love to own one someday. If I didn't have a Graham Phantom I'd have a 4 point.

Kuzma started in 1983. I bought one of the early Stogi arms in 1986

Moving up the line from the Stogi S to the 4Point is transformational. 4Point is such a better design than any unipivot. For roughly the same price as the Stogi S 12 VTA I would purchase the 4Point9 in a heartbeat.

Kat you are simply amazing. It's one thing to be a lovely young lady. Another thing to be an absolute authority on analogue sound. Yet another to be an analogue manager and beyond me how much you own these videos. You are my analogue guru and I love you. 🙌 Total and utter appreciation ❤️

All other factors being equal, you can't hear the difference in a DBT between to high end tone arms.

Is there an overview video on third-party/alternate tone arms? This whole topic is a mystery to me. Are tone arm mounts standardized? If not, are there 2-3 systems or is it all proprietary? What to watch for? What about putting longer tone arm (less angular deviation) on an existing plinth? The whole compliance can of worms. How far can you take upgrading before getting pointless (Ferrari engine in a Pinto)? So many questions and no clear view. Thanks for considering!

@@kato9215 Hi Kat, is there any more comprehensive write-up on the entire tone arm business? Just found Gideon Schwartz' book Revolution. Nice pictures, but short on details. Thanks.

Unnecessarily over priced tone arm. One could get a Jelco arm with a VTA tool for under $1500
