A VPI turntable WITH a dust cover??? A LONG overdue feature.
I am quite happy with my VPI Traveler turntable (with Ortofon Black cart. into Rogue Magnum) but... without a dust cover it's a real pain to keep clean. It sits inside a custom cabinet with less than 3/8 inch clearance either side and access is limited making it hard to clean regularly.
How I wish this had a functional dust cover similar to this or like my previous Thorens TD-160 had. Found a fella advertising on Audiogon in Lithuania making a custom acrylic cover that is too wide to fit my cabinet and almost $400 with shipping!!!
Direct Drive can clean the floor with belt drives when done right (Technics SP10/Denon DD). Better pitch control and lower Wow and Flutter numbers.
