What a grand video. Really good video quality. I am now confident to replace my own radiator on my ‘01 Explorer sport 2WD. This is going to save me a lot of money!!! Being poor sucks!
Excellent video! I just replaced my radiator in my 2000 SOHC Explorer, based entirely on this. Once question about the trans cooler line o rings, on my old radiator I saw no signs of o - rings, or any left over gasket material. I didn't add o rings and just reassembled. The bottom cooler line is now leaking at the connection. Were the o rings originally part of the connection, or are those added when replacing a radiator to help "re-mate" the connection point. Thanks!
Great video, very professional, I will be doing my explorer radiator in a few days, thanks God it seems that I don't have to remove the fan blade... Thanks again
A coworker of mine told me to try not to cross thread the transmission cooling lines, how can this be avoided? The over radiator replacement looks like something I can handle but I don’t wanna mess the cooling lines up
hey im currently installing my new radiator also but for some reason the transmission lines arent going in due to the fact that it has a space where it goes in first but the thread doesnt catch om idk if u had that problem
@@horamite5237 Hmm, maybe it's a Ford thing, they sure looked like flare fittings, I wish I could see inside them. I'll be doing this soon on a friends vehicle and I guess I'll find out then, unless his has the newer type.
An example of a perfect video. No fluff, no unnecessary comments or opinions. Thank You.
I gotta help my mum replace the rad in her truck and I'm gonna find this video so helpful once we do 🙂 thank you!

What the World, now why come other people make Videos like this. Very we'll made, pls do keep up the good work.....
Thanks for the comments!
Does the new radiator come with o rings for the transmission lines, great video btw
Mine did not. Thanks!
what brand did you buy by chance? greatly appreciate the work also did you reuse the old adapters for the fittings?
Where did you get the radiator? Everything I am finding is a single core.
Thank you for watching. I used Spectra CU2174 from summitracing.com for my vehicle.
Those trany lines were flare fittings. How did you use O-rings in them?
The old radiator had o-rings in the fittings. The new one leaked without them so I reinstalled them. No problems ever since... Thanks for watching!

Hello...so Mikey, did it require O rings or was it a flare fitting as you suspected?
@@Marcotic187 Unfortunately I don't remember, that was three years ago, it could be either type, you'll just have to find out.
What kind of radiator you got and price for that’ 99montanier
I used this one for my 99 Explorer Sport 4.0 SOHC:
