Hey Nick the DJI A4 camera has voice control. So if you just wanted to turn the chin mount camera on just tell it to record. Use the old remote to turn the handle bar mounted camera on. I seldom want my handlebar camera to record everything the helmet cam does. Just using the handle bar camera for cut aways 👍
I would jump to DJI tomorrow if they could get the audiosorted, I tend to switch on and off alot so syncing up would be a pain. Crystal clear though. Hope all is well nick👍
Is there an update? As far as I read, the remote can only power on/off one camera. If multiple cameras are paird, the remote control wouldn't wake them up. Is that still the case?
I use my action 4 on an airplane mounted to the rear wing. The wifi connection via my iphone is just out of range in the cockpit but if I hold my phone behind me it barely connects. Does anyone know if the Action 4 remote has better range then an iphone connection!???
Hi Nick, My camera set up is three dji action 4 and one insta 360x3. If I buy this remote contorroller to control my action 4, and I also buy the remote controller for Insta 360x3, can I use both remote controls at the same time or do they interfere with each other? As i understands the connection is via bluetooth
"Test" What Test? I'm none the wiser apart from the fact that it's £75 for an On/Off button. The camera has voice control, the Scotsman in me says I'll be using that. I've pre-ordered the Action 4, some of us have to wait but you know this, I might just show it working when I get it 🤔😯😂
Test as in the 2 buttons on the remote work 😂😂 camera won’t pick up voice control sat at 50mph due to wind noise and unreliable. I ordered the Action 4 in U.K. and it was delivered next day, maybe they ran out
@@MOTOUK1 Sorry if my comment seemed abrupt perhaps I was expecting to see it working. There's been so much hype about this camera and yours was the first video I've seen where it was in a MotoVlog. I ordered mine on Amazon mid week it gave the release date as 16/8/23, delivery with Prime 23/8/23. So yes perhaps they've sold out of the first batch. I'll be using mine with the DJI wireless mics, which I already bought when my Rode got drowned in the pocket of my mesh jacket in the rain. I'd hope the camera would pick up voice commands from its external mic but I appreciate what your saying regarding wind noise. 👍😀
@@michaellilley6725not abrupt, 😂 so I always order DJI products direct from DJI app, that way it gets delivered from their U.K. warehouse not Amazon, cut out the middleman and faster delivery 👍 the DJI mics are the best imo. Cheers and hope you get sorted soon

I've lent my mics to Alex ( The Adventures of Bleary View) as he's off to Shetland at the end of the week. I'll have to do my first test of the Action 4 using the Rode mics which I rescued from their drowning, by the old several days in a box of rice trick 👍😄

Yes as far as I am aware the remove cannot wake up 2 cameras and only start and stop recording on two cameras
I quite like the remote and that it can turn on and off more than one camera. Annoyingly it doesn't work with the Action 3 and I've two of those.

I really think I’m going to jump on DJI and leave GoPro. Even better now Cardo you can record audio. Saves the helmet being like the back of a TV.

Not sure you would need to consult dji on the remote, how many you can control on 1 remote, also i suspect the 360 remote is on different frequency
For anyone interested I contacted DJI and these are 10hz gps...
What is the max. distance range DJI ACTION 4 GPS Remote control?
Not a clue sorry only use it close range 10 - 15 feet. I’m sure it will work even further

Is the Remote Water Resistant/Proof?
Hi 👋 yes it is IPX7 - IPX7 rating ensures that the device can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes without any damage

Not the easiest there I’m afraid. I use a stand alone recorder and sync in edit. DJI does not work with 3.5mm lav direct into camera via a dongle.
I use Instamic separate recorder
