  • This video will explore the bulk cargo transport mechanics in Star Citizen alpha version 3.23.1. By following along with these steps you'll be able to make approximately 500,000 aUEC per hour, and learn all the intricacies, bugs, and workarounds of bulk cargo transport with the MISC Hull C.
    I wanted to make this video with workarounds included, with hopes that it might gain enough attention for CIG to see what a sorry state the Hull C is in. Considering 3.23.2 will be cargo-focused, it would be amazing to see some Hull C fixes!

    A couple of additions I've had to do are: for proper spindle deployment, I always do an external view to ensure they are not bugged, when trying to remain stationary in the cargo loading/unloading position cube, I come to a complete stop, power down engines, then power them back on. Thanks for putting this video together. Finally, I would recommend and encourage Hull C owners to get on the issue council and report / upvote all of the gameplay issues with the ship.

      This is a good recommendation, I normally do it in third person as well, just in the interest of time I cut that in my edit. Perhaps I should have left it in. I've also found that if your landing gear is down while spindles are extended the cargo deck tends to not like it.

      RMC should step down as King of traded materials, better if RMC would be sparcely sold (less than gold) and mainly produced from salvaging. The other commodities also need adjusting imO.

      The MSR is awesome! I tried to limit the list to the most common and/or obvious ships for cargo transport. I know it's not definitive, but this was just to show the natural ship progression before getting to the Hull C.

    • @Power5
      @Power5 Месяц назад +3

      How are these most obvious and does not include the RAFT in Tier C? Cutty Black is one of the most obvious multirole cargo ships in game and a ship that almost everyone in game has flown at some point. Kore is not on list, yet has same capacity as 135 and is cheaper. Also forgot the Corsair for tier C. I have no idea what criteria you used, but it was quite flawed. I do not understand how you can call it a progression and forget some of the most obvious and common. Hope the rest of the video gets better. Got some great visuals in that intro from SC cips.

    I would've included the Pisces Expedition, Cutlass Black, and the RAFT in the C and D tiers. None of them are going to win any awards when it comes to large cargo running but Pisces is a direct competitor to the Cutter. And the RAFT while slower, can run 96scu and you'll rarely have to fuel up, so your fuel costs over time are much lower. And of course the Cutlass Black is probably the best all round ship in the game that holds almost twice the SCU of the Nomad.

    • @Cortexian
      @Cortexian  Месяц назад +2

      Yup! As I said there are definitely more options, it was just a general idea of the progression of cargo ships up to the Hull C. The best way to fly the Hull C is to not fly it at all. I spent hours and ran into every bug there was. I tried different stations and servers. I finally got into one and got to where I was going to buy. Then landed at cargo area and the elevators wouldn't work, so i eva'd to all the cargo areas to the same effect. I tried to dock and that was a no go until I was blown to pieces trying to get out the damn "blocking" zone one second after failed docking. A whole day of waste.

    Another option for 'bulk' trading is an 890j. Yes it 'only' fits 400 odd scu of cargo on it's grid, but with some suspect placement of boxes you can fit 1500 SCU easily inside using the hangar and engineering. Use with an mpuv tractor to make moving boxes a breeze. This is most applicable to those who do bounties as ERTs and Extreme risk Vaughn missions have a good chance for valuable cargos and after you smash through the opposition you can come out with the mpuv tractor and move boxes around.
    Note: the most valuable of the salvaged cargo from these missions will be drugs, and those drugs are best sold at scrap yards where pvp can be a factor. Be aware.

Between all the work around to get your cargo and the servers failing due to 30ks and other performance issues. The Hull C will is the best ship for you to loose all your money...
    Stick to small ships doing smaller but more valuable hauls for the moment. Do this until CIG can "unsuck" their own game and actually make the HULL C a useful ship. And don't go flying this ship as soon as 3.23.x comes out with cargo refractor, the amount of bugs will be insurmountable.

      Keep it at GrimHex, they don’t have docking ports and you don’t need to exit atmo!

    c is just too much of a hastle and you are limited too much by not being able to land

    Nice guide but the fact that 75% of the video talks about how to evade all the game-breaking bugs with the Hull-C and its associated cargo hauling game loop during which you can easily lose your millions that you've just invested JUST to make a possible profit of 500k (under the best given circumstances) pretty much makes the point to instead not go through all the trouble.
    Instead play Star Citizen in the only way that not results in utter frustration: go naked or wear the white noob suit, take nothing with you, don't do trading, don't do salvaging (server errors will likely ruin it), don't plan, just go jolly, don't expect anything to work or any profit from anything. It's less frustrating!

      Yes, the point was to hopefully gain enough traction that the devs see how broken the Hull C actually is. They asked for some focused Hull C feedback recently to try and 'make the Hull C the best it can be'.

    Too bad trading is a painfull chore now. You can hardly sell your goods anywhere due to duping bug. And any of the valuable stuff you can sell without having to land/visit unsafe areas are out of stock (like gold) so building up your money is a chore now. at best I can make 100-200k a trip, which is annoying when your income stagnates there... it means 5 trips to make one mill and that can easily take more than an hour with wait times, stock issues due to tuping etc... They need to fix the demand system.

    If the docking isn’t deployed to the ship I just Eva from the nearest pad to the docking 😂😂😂😂

    Hang on only 500k profit per hour na that can't be right. My spirit can easily do that in like 3 or 4 trips in less than an hour how the fuck is the hull c only getting that much. The real number should be more like 50 million per hour

      You're limited to commodities bought/sold at space stations with the HullC, so it limits your profit margins.

      @@Cortexian i alao think we're talking about different cargo coz I was trading drugs and u might be trading more legit goods so that could also explain it

    You just forgot the mighty IRON CLAD, 3 tractors beams, 1500 SCU capacity and the cargo is protected into the ship.

      Because the Hull C has the largest cargo capacity currently and it definitely the most "interesting" cargo ship compared to those
