    For anyone asking, with these settings I got twice my average FPS and way higher 1% lows.
    And yes: you can run the game with DDR5 16GB ram, heck you can even use 16GB of DDR4 RAM!!!
    Dont let anyone fool you.

    what is the point in using the native resolution of the monitor in graphics setting and along with upscaling?
    From my (limited) understanding you use upscaling only when selceting a lower-than-native resolution in game or am I wrong on this?

    • @Parobro
      @Parobro  23 дня назад +1

      Well upscaling DLSS renders multiple pictures at 66% the native resolution, scales them up and therefore can look cleaner then native, bonus is a bit performance because those 4 pictures (frames) didn’t get fully rendered but they use the tensorcores and bitmapping (I think) to calculate it.
      So the end is: you are not playing lower then native, you are playing native, with no anti aliasing and less distortions or flickers from small or fine textures.
      I hope that helps :)

    this strange because i have an nvidia 3060ti but for some reason playing star citizen i get better performance running vulkan with fsr on then what i do using dlss any ideas why?

    • @Parobro
      @Parobro  24 дня назад

      vulkan uses CPU core performance, it has nothing to do with DLSS or FSR.
      FSR usually can yield better performance based on the rest of your parts since it ustilizes your RAM, CPU etc, DLSS only uses the dedicated tensor cores of your NVIDIA card, but DLSS isnt made to give better performance firstly, but making anti aliasing not needed anymore, therefore FSR has usually less sharper pictures.
      Hope that helps :)
      Edit: I didn’t really try a lot of Vulkan, I switched once but heard it has a memory leak so I switched back, that’s why I have pinned a RUclips video in the description from tenpoundfourtytwo about this matter.

    So there is the Live and Hotfix version. Which one should I use?

    I tried this, and after i changed to the settings you recommended my game crash when trying to log in. Dont get a error or anything. Tried to switch to what i had before, and still not working. Strange

      Ingame settings or the NVIDIA?
      You can always delete the userfolder/ shaderfolder and reset to default in NVIDIA, high precision event timer can be enabled aswell (but HPET is something I would not do unless you wanna test it)
      Also, very important: did you restart the machine to see if the problem fixes that way?
      Did it fix it this way for you?

      @@chrisjans3692 awesome that it helped! Depending on cpu and gpu combo one can bottleneck and that’s prob why the small increase.

    I have the same ryzen 7 7800x3d and gpu is 4070ti rog strix, ram 32gb fury ddr5 6000mhz that is high end pc man and still 60-70 fps on max settings , how much you have with all this ?

    • @Parobro
      @Parobro  27 дней назад +1

      same fps with an rtx 3050, same RAM and CPU, my config is usually in the description
      it depends where really, in stations its around 50 fps and in busy space its 80 or so, on planets with forests it taks hard and can be as low as 20.
      did you follow thru my settings video completly or skip any of the contents? you should get way more "average" fps then 60 ish.
