That video was very helpfull, i recomend peoeple to put your game into windowed mode and drag it to the side makes it easer to follow his settings changes and put them into the game.
I genuinely want to enjoy the game, but the awful optimization basically the requirement to have 32 gigs of RAM is what kills it for me... I love the concept but low FPS, constant drops and lack of explanation during flight... man, they really don't make it new player friendly :(
32gb of ram moves to be the standard, BUT you can play with 16gb ram easily, its then more of an issue of CPU/ GPU A friend of mine used 16gb DDR5 5200mhz ram, an 12th gen i7 and a rtx 4060 (notebook btw) and got the same fps i have with an rtx 3050, ryzen 7 7800x3D and 32gb of 6000mhz ram soon ill publish my ultimate pc guide and then you will see what software optimizations you can do to improve performance, this video was initially thought to pass on to org members but ill also remake this one with better quality o7
Hey m8, im about to test exactly this, when I was on 3.23 EPTU i usually was at a steady 60 fps all gameplayloops included. It merely took down 8 fps in space with high clouds and 10-20 fps in atmosphere (medium or/ and high). With clouds off I had in atmosphere or space combat no significant dips in frames. Hope that helps, but ill watch the fps atm and write it down as we speak. o7
