Your guide is SUPERB. Learned a lot from it and I went through the entire tutorial for the game. Excellent video and guide. Also: I loved that you are calmed and composed. Not screaming like a freak.
Been playing for a week now myself, thanks for the video. Got a hotkey addition: 13:05 - Hangar doors will be requested to open with "Alt+N", same goes for requesting a landing bay. Also holding down N while already being in the hangar will initiate an automated landing process (in case you have a Syulen f.eks. thats might be difficult to land). Also most mission are really bugged out and not as easy as described here: Mercenary missions will have enemys spawning in walls (aside from the AI just standing there mostly, doing nothing) or 300m down in the ground, so you won't be able to complete it. When trying to carry corpses onto the elevator, they will simply fall through the ground. Bounty Hunter missions have AI that will try to crash into your ship for whatever reason and dont even try Cave Rescue Missions, you will never get out of these things alive cuz climbing is apperently impossible on most locations and you'll get caught inside. Its an alpha, I know but for beginners this can be important to know.

You know I appreciate you? Because you don't just say "do this do that" you explain what this and that actually does. It's just me and my autistic way of learning. I need the why as well as the what. Thank you
Knowing the 'why' of what to do creates meaningful, contextual associations that make remembering all the command options easier, more natural and faster, which makes for better immersion and more enjoyment....instead of trying to recall a 'rote' , specifically ordered list.
This video is SUPER HELPFUL! Thank you so much for doing it. I started playing the game yesterday and boy was it an adventure trying to navigate stuff.

As a recent newcomer (2 days ago) to SC I found your video to be extremely helpful. I skipped the tutorial as I generally don’t like doing them, so videos like yours are a godsend. I’m really enjoying the game. I’m a slow gamer, meaning I plod about and take my time. At the moment. I’ve been walking about on New Babbage just exploring and experimenting. I purchased the titan starter pack and am having fun learning how to fly. Thank you for this great video.
I bought the game and then watched this video. I didn't know my account name would be appearing in game. This account name is used to login to other websites, so sharing it publically is a security concern. I'm nearly 100% likely to refund my game and request account deletion now. Thanks to them for not making this clear at all.
Your RSI handle will be what you’re called in game - it wouldn’t reveal your email address etc which is used to login. But if you’ve set your handle as something you’d prefer it not to be then yeah - refund, delete the account then just start again 👍
This was a great instructional while waiting for the game to download. I enjoyed your calm explanation and now feel more confident taking my first steps into the game. Cheers!
On behalf of SC nOoBz everywhere (of which I am NOT one), thanks for looking out for the young and naive. 😉 Is there any chance you can do a video about the new Orison platforms, for the folks who don't use Orison as their base of operations? A timely time out- but yeah AC nowadays is actually really really good, I’m going to get a few mates to play at the next free fly and I think I’m just going to warm them up to the game in general with pirate swarm.
Great content I wish this video was out when I started the game. The learning curve is a good one but even with this games bugs it has great potential. 😃
Currently a console player. I'm working on talking my wife into letting me build a pc just to try this game. Big hill to climb but i think ill be crashing mustangs into space stations in my near future.
A gaming spec PC makes for a high performance general purpose PC, so I suggest you tell her its MOT just for gaming, but other stuff too. ruclips.net/video/xdYoidjxEt4/видео.htmlsi=ukCrR4SGC22fTTY8 This is pretty much my views on it - what I'd really recommend is creating an account and trying the game out for free during the free fly that's coming up later this week. Hi Rodrigo - generally I'd say you would be ok. I'm playing on a 2060ti and that's what has been used to capture all the footage in my vids. The one big QoL improvement I made to my rig though was going up from 16gb to 32gb of RAM - that made a world of difference around big cities. My biggest piece of advice - create an account and then just wait for a free fly event so you can try it out without parting with any cash (there should be one very soon). That way if your system doesn't handle it you aren't out any money.
@@FenrirRJ For comparison, I'm running a Ryzen3900X, RTX 3060 TI, 32GB RAM.. Doubling your RAM, especially as a 3060 (instead of the Ti) will be a big help. I don't think the drive HAS to be NVMe, just a PCIe/SATA SSD seemed fine to me...but maybe that's just my system (I do run an NVMe though, because why not?).
If all the ships can be bought with ingame money, isnt the better advice not to buy any ships at all besides the starter pack? Like not just say start small, but avoid buying at all unless you absolutely have the money to waste on these psuedo nfts?
My opinion is adults shouldn’t have to be told how to spend their money so I steer clear of definitively telling anyone what to buy or not buy. There’s a couple of good reasons to buy ships if you can afford them - supporting the game & maybe your life doesn’t allow time for the grind. But I am willing to advise that people don’t drop more than the bare minimum before working out if they like the game.
I don't want to derease your contribution in any way, rather to help you. So I can give the only thing I got, the actual new player experience. As I see it, there's 2 ways it can go for a new player in SC. If you're good at FPS (First Person Shooters) you'll make fast money from missions, upgrade your gear and ships and will get off the ground easy. If not, fat paycheck missions are not for you, and you will get ganked/killed/shot down at every turn so you keep landing back at nothing. For a player in this category visiting a shop to upgrade your quatum drive or guns looks like mockery. Yea, I'm a loser, should I just log off now or is there a way to make money for someone like me without being constantly ganked? Except picking up medical gowns from the floor I mean? It seems there is, if you know game really well and have a little luck, hence I'm still here. Will try to find a mentor and/or join some organization next. Hope this works. Cheers, the rest of what you do is perfection and I believe it's _all_ perfection for an average player.
the game has huge potential, but it is massively bugged. out of 3 missions, 2 were bugged. characters hide in textures. My character sometimes respawns without a head :D many bugs that make it impossible to complete simple missions. optimization kneels and whines on a good computer. prepreprepre alpha version. After so many years of work, the game looks like it was just made. which is a pity, because it has huge potential. I uninstalled it and won't be back anytime soon. but someday ....

I uninstalled it and won't be back anytime soon. but someday ....
star citizen better than starfield?
I mean, I personally enjoy it more but they are very different games.
This game is so bad lol
