You are the go to guy for PvE bounty hunting content. It is great that we now get a much greater variety of ships to go up against. It makes bounty hunting a lot less predictable. I just wish that variety extended to the location of bounty missions. With combat service beacons being such an unreliable source of deep space combat I wish CIG would extend traditional bounties to these locations. Asteroid and debris fields don't count! Also I hope they sort the Reliant series soon. With the bed logging issue and spawning issues sorted it was my go to light fighter but for the last 2 patches you can't change to vertical wing orientation!
Thanks so much man! And yeah the new enemies is super refreshing, I'm loving it! They added the reliant series to the list of known issues, which makes me worried that's their way of saying "we know about it, we're not fixing it right now" lol. I think more locations would be awesome - could you imagine fighting bounties in between the skyscrapers of ArcCorp??
As a noob you just made this game so much easier for me and to better understand the ships and bounties. Thank you for providing the load outs for all the ships.
appreciate you keeping bounty hunting guides updated, dont always have the time to play but bounty hunting has been my main grind when I do. nice vid as always
There is a workaround for changing missile and I believe torpedoes when you otherwise can't in the Mobiglass. You need to fire all of your ordinance and then land and store your ship without restocking. When you go into the loadout manager, it will show your payloads as empty and then you can switch the type. This is how I do it on the Redeemer.
yep! I showed that in the video too! Not the whole firing and storing thing, b/c it takes too long to show it all, but i mentioned it and showed the empty missile racks capable of being used :)
this video is better than every other i watched. even provides a link with ship loadouts. thank you. this is an easy go to and very short and detailed.
@@WingZeroType i hope you will update the document whenever theres something to update on it. i tried your redeemer build, but sadly the redeemer is still not useful for bounty hunting, it just flies like a dead fish on ice.
@@MedienGulliHey I am updating the spreadsheet constantly, and it's updated for the 3.21 patch. The redeemer is really solid at bounty hunting, it's basically unkillable and has really impressive dps thanks to the crazy strong capacitor. It even has a solid missile loadout! It is a bit slow but that's to be expected of a ship with that kind of immense firepower. I like to put laser repeaters on it and use your boost and roll+upstrafe to help target enemies. If you just fly towards the enemy and try to chase them around, it will struggle, but so will any large high-dps ship.
Brother you saved a few times my life since i took care and watched your guide. I hope I got you now a few viewers that they can figure out to counter me
The ares inferno can also fit torps! You can fit it with the 515 size 5 racks on the two non bespoke ones. Im not sure what other ships can, I just know I use them. Im currently running my inferno with two Reaper V EM torps for deleting escorts easily.
Yep I thought I mentioned that, and that I use scimitars for my Ares? Maybe I had cut that... I don't remember. Thanks for calling it out in that case! I generally just ignore escorts and pew pew through the main target and run so I use more smaller missiles so I can have a bit more consistent dps across more targets, but there's not really a wrong way to go about it.
That's the great thing about the game, there's so many fun things to do. I like doing bunkers as well, and mining, and cargo looting ;). I can't wait until hull munching comes by and hangar elevators so that salvage is hopefully less tedious
Up to the latest patch, my hands down favorite spot was Crusader and its moons. The main, single most important reason - I rarely got bounties (including non-group ones) that didn't have a QT marker. And, often, they spawned in the Yela belt, so there was no atmo at all. I don't want to answer how often I slammed into an asteroid and you can't make me. It should be interesting to see how the new Orison platforms affect Crusader bounties, though.
I've had good luck with ArcCorp as well for raising my bounty hunting level, and for the same reason - not too many bounties without a marker. And the moons have low density so you can zoom to your target pretty quick :) Also, I heard that the asteroid slammed into you? At least that's the story I'm telling the cops
Thank you so much for all the info! As a relatively new player who worked his way up to VRTs with a Cutter on Microtech I had some fundamental questions in my head regarding spawns/locations/avoiding spots with no quantum destination etc.
It's great to hear that this helped you out! Thanks a bunch for the feedback, and feel free to join the discord linked in the video description if you ever have any questions about anything, there's a bunch of really helpful folks there
Thank you so much! And I still appreciate you telling me, even if it's been said before. It really helps make the effort that goes into them feel worth it :)
in regards to beacons they can pop up any where except area 18. They also rotate between the other 3 planets so you kind of have to check between hurston, mt and crusader. If you get lucky and a beacon pops up out of those systems the beacon basically leads you to the system they are popping up. The other thing is beacons are a only 1 player can accept them type of deal so you have to be faster than everyone else when it comes to accepting the beacon. If you are solo the only beacons worth doing are the high threats since those are effectively vhrts. Critical beacons are doable solo but you need specific set ups to solo them just because of the idris.
Yeah I know, I hate that in a game that's starved for content they're making players compete over PvE missions... it makes no sense! But I prefer the medium threats when I can get them, I don't like the chance of facing hammerheads in the high threats when I can blast through mediums much more quickly with their squishier targets.
I love the Aurora! Did some upgrades overall: power, shields, missiles, warp drive and 4 guns. I'm planning to stick one S4 missile on top of that roof :D
Awesome content really helps me out a lot as a newer bounty hunter but older player thanks to my buddy ITKN Headless for posting a link in our discord of you video for our group of friends i might not have found this other wise

Thanks for telling me! Where do you see attritions having lower spread than other repeaters? I can't find any information to support that (and you wouldn't believe the number of people who tell me incorrect things without evidence). Same with the Lightstrikes damage fall-off. Thanks!
@@WingZeroType There is no official information as far as I know, but I am in a big org and we have tested this ourselves, you do with that info what you wish.
@@nilswagner1536alright cool, thanks for the response and letting me know! I'm very happy to know my favorite repeater is just better than the others :D lol.
For PVP bounties the target can no longer escape by logging out during combat (aka combat-logging). If they do, their character and ship will persist on the server for about 15 minutes.
yes that's a huge boon to the profession now, I agree. But as you can see here, a solo bounty hunter can't do too much to prevent someone from running unless you're in one of the few ships with a QD (and those ships aren't great at combat).
@@WingZeroType you're 100% correct. But I think the QD ships are not meant to be very good in combat otherwise they would be OP. Another reason why it's so difficult to bounty hunt now is because of armistice zones. When those are removed, and the server wide marker to the target, the whole gameplay loop will be much more fair and much more fun.
Coming from Elite Dangerous, this is confusing for me. I keep wanting to see plasma, frags, rail guns... and Elite's very dumbed down simple size scales and effect variations. Still very cool though. I need to jump into this game and give it a go! Thanks for the explanations. I going to need to watch through this a few times 🙂
haha yeah and our weapons are all quite dumbed down right now, eventually when armor comes into the game different caliber weapons will actually perform differently vs different armor types, plus the guns of a given type will all have slightly different characteristics to give you more options. I can't wait! And thank you for the kind words - feel free to reach out if you have any more question :) And if you wanna chat with some more cool friendly ppls feel free to join our discord (link in description)
I think the call to arms quest is a bit more conditional now, I dont think it rewards for the targets who are directly contracted - this might not be the case for their surrounding grunts though, and I'd have to check again to be sure.
I have been seeing some inconsistent payout behavior from it for sure, but sometimes I still see the 500 credits added to the final payout of bounties as well... and i almost exclusively only kill the main target, so yeah I'm not exactly sure whats up. But it doesn't cost anything to accept the mission so why not.
@WingZeroType Yeah, after playing a bit, I noticed the same thing. Although multicrew could be a factor as well - if the target doesn't get the bonus, while their crewmates do, it could attribute to some of the inconsistency when the bonus payout pops up.
Awesome video! You gave way too much info to gather at one time so I'll be watching it a few more times. I'll have to try the Arrow missiles to see if I get better luck, the Task Force 1s have been missing quite a bit for me. I do have a question for you.. Is there a reason to buy the Connie Andromeda over the Taurus? I got a Taurus for more cargo and I don't need the snub, and I have done some bounties with it. Just wondering if I should get the Andromeda as well strictly for doing bounties.
Thank you for the compliment! The Andromeda has better hull hp and it's a smaller target (the Taurus is elongated in the center to fit the extra cargo). The andromeda also has an additional set of missiles over the Taurus, giving you a total of 52 missiles. And if you're fully crewed, the vanguard has an extra turret for guns whereas the taurus trades it out for a tractor beam, so the Andromeda is definitely better for Combat. But the different is not MASSIVE, so it depends on whether there are other ships you're interested in trying out.
Think it's still the same, but for size 1 drives, the Spectre is best for speed if you're staying in a planets local system, due to its stage 1 acceleration. The VK-00 may have a higher top speed, but it's stage 1 acceleration is worse, and it is that which matters for short local jumps. Top speed doesn't matter if you aren't in quantum long enough to reach it. XL-1 is still king for size 2 tho. As for distortion, I sometimes mixed in distortion on the nose of the vanguard if I was doing group ERTs to make the hammerhead a bit easier. Because dancing around its turrets could be lethal if you make a mistake for more than a few seconds. And again, don't know if they changed this but AI hurricanes used to have a stupendous amount of hull hp, and also did a fair amount of damage, so distortion could be useful against them. I'll admit there were a few times where I was feeling particularly spiteful and EMP'd them out of the sky to watch them fall to their death.
I absolutely agree with you about the stage 1 accel and short range, but I think that stealth drives take a long time to spool up which can make getting out after finishing combat a bit more dangerous so that's why I like the military drive. And yeah, watching enemies fall to the ground helpless is just sooo nice. So is watching 3 shield faces of a hammerhead simultaneously drop down when the distortion overcomes the shield generators lol. I haven't used too much though b/c I haven't been hunting big game with the heavy fighters so much because like you said... one short mistake and you could be missing half your ship lol
Hey sorry the footage was older - it is bugged in the current patch like you say. The ship is a LOT of fun when it works, and I hope they fix it soon!!
This video is really helpful for me as a new player but I do have one question for you. You stated that softdeath is preferable and that for size 5 slots, laser cannons would be ideal yet you have size 5 ballistic guns on your preferred Redeemer loadout. Why is that ideal for the manned turrets?
so for the turrets, I kind of leave it up to what enemies I'm fighting and what my turret gunners want to use. Size 5 ballistic gatlings are a solid weapon option on turrets. I was just saying for the main pilot weapons you'd probably want s5 laser cannons except for a few instances when you're running a full ballistic loadout using s5s like on a connie/corsair/600i/c2/etc
Hey sorry for the late response. I list the music used in all my videos in the video description, and it's always in the order that they show up in the video so you can usually find it pretty quick. In this case, the track was Nana Kwabena - Timpani Beat
Hehe yeah a bunch of people have mentioned that. It's definitely on the to-do list! CIG has closed the issue council bug for NPC laser damage penetrating shields so I'm waiting for that fix to hit LIVE since that will drastically change the list around (since large ships will be able to tank damage with their shields again instead of just eating all incoming damage to their hull)
For the S5s, any gun is fine. If you want to purely min/max, you would run the M6A in the s5 slot, but I just prefer to have matched omniskys b/c i don't love the look of the M6a. But yeah use whatever you want for both slots, there's no diff for the s5s and a very minimal diff for the S4s
all jokes aside that excel spreadsheet with every build in it is just killer, recently bought a vanguard warden and wasnt sure the primary loadout to run for pve bounties. A question tho, how come you use the (cross-section) strikeforce 2 missiles instead of the (EM) Dominator 2 missiles?
Thanks man! I'm really glad you like the spreadsheet, a lot of time goes into testing things before i arrive at those loadouts so it's great to hear when people find it useful. I like strikeforces b/c cross section missiles lock and track the enemy best for me in this patch. I found that EM missiles will sometimes lock with two green circles but then fire and just fly away as if they weren't locked at all if your enemy hasn't totally "woken up" and responded to your presence. IR missiles are good, but sometimes their lock can be finicky (red circles until you get really close). CS are the most consistent for me across all the types I've tried, but if you find the EM missiles are really good for your playstyle there's nothing wrong with them other than hit rate (in my experience)
not both at the same time for a single mission. If you are doing a group contract, you only get the northrock reputation bonus payment. If you're doing a single bounty, you're only getting the crusader bonus payment
Thanks for your amazing content and loadout guides, Question how is the performance of these for PvE and PvP, are they more intended for PvE bounty hunting quests? If so, do you have tips or components your recommend for PvP loadouts. Thank you in advance!
Thanks a bunch! And most of my comments relate to pve content since I don't pvp a lot. I do have a full spreadsheet I keep for pve loadouts for every combat ship! Check out the video description for the link :)
Oh I just noticed you asked about pvp loadouts, use repeaters for your weapons and use military grade components (A-grade) for power supply and shields. Make sure you're managing power in combat
I'm 2 days deep and already hv lots of problems regarding the server fps, because many times I accept bounty mission, the target is unkillable, some targets just float in mid air. But when the game works, it's fun and challenging.
Welcome to the game! Yeah unfortunately the servers have been pretty rough this weekend, worse than usual, but hopefully they get better soon. Sometimes it can be helpful to pick a server region that's not yours since they sometimes have fewer people on them.
@WingZeroType also, I keep crashing into the bounty target, any advice on that? I'm using ur Avenger Titan loadout btw, so no gimbal, it makes crashing into the target while aiming way more often for me. Also, when should I press H to release counter measures? I see that there's a bar in the middle, how do I read that? What max speed should I be at while dogfighting too? In gp bounties, there are more than just one target, how do I switch my targeting to the actual bounty other than aiming directly at it then press T?
@@rocky258258For crashing into the target remember that your goal is to circling around the target using a combo of upstrafe and side strafe. Going towards the target is only something you need to do if the target is out of your effective range. You should dump countermeasures as soon as you hear the locked missile incoming alarm and see the flashing icon in the middle of your screen. I suggest binding it to a more convenient key or button so you don't have to move your hand or look down at your keyboard. You don't actually need to read the bars that show your signature radius, for now they're informative only. For max speed I generally go full speed until I'm about 20-15k away from the target and then i set the speed limiter on so that I'm at SCM speed (or just slightly above it). That way you can more easily turn and rotate the ship for easier targeting while circle strafing around them. There are different keybinds that you can set for cycling through the hostile enemies or the enemies that are attacking you. I'd suggest going to the advanced controls customization and spending a bit of time looking at them to see if there's anything else you'd like to bind or change - there are a TON of options there that are unbound by default!
@WingZeroType By SCM speed do you mean the blue bar in the speed meter? I get what ur saying with the cycling around the target strategy, but often times, there are high lvs ships protecting the target ships. If I stayed around for just a bit longer, my titan will get obliterated by their missiles. The lacking of some sort of a health bar is definitely not helping either.
@@rocky258258yeah I mean outside of the red speed in the speed zone. And yeah you have to watch your shields and disengage as your shields are going down to recharge them. It's definitely a process - the titan is decent at lower level bounties but as you get to the tankier ones its nicer to have higher dps ships like the vanguard or larger. Also, are you actively managing your capacitor? you should have 100% capacitor to weapons when you're fighting and put it to shields when you disengage to recharge, that'll give you much more dps while you're in the fight, making your time spent under fire much more effective
it's on the spreadsheet! There's a few different vanguard loadouts on there, but its the same as last patch - full laser cannons and cross-section missiles is still the go-to imo, especially since VHRT-targets have S3 shields now so you want as much dps as you can get to break them down!
@@WingZeroTypeYes sir! I tried it Thanks. 3 shots for VLRT :D But still interesting how it works for PvP. Also looking for good 2 seater, where copilot sits next to pilot, and suggestions? save bounty-allrounder-sometimes pvp
@@btwosoftHmmm interesting... a 2-seater where the copilot sits next to the pilot. I think the A2 is an option since the copilot would have access to some beeeefy guns. The redeemer is also decent, but the copilot is behind the pilot a bit. Corsairs and connies are decent too but again the copilot isn't next to the pilot. It's actually pretty rare to have a copilot sitting in the seat next to the pilot and also being able to be useful. Usually, they need to be in the turret.
@@WingZeroType thanks! I mean..behind also OK. Just when I fly with a friend, not always we need a turret man. Something like Super Hornet works, but its almost useless in nowadays :( Like my Sentinel, but maybe will but Cutlass Black for more “crew” immersion Would be also nice to let second guy to fly the ship, transfer controls somehow..
@@btwosoftI'm not sure how many ships let you do the transferring of controls, I don't usually fly with other people so I'm probalby not the best person to answer those questions. Depending on what immersion you're going for, you could also go for a Corsair, the pilot and copilot are stacked on top of each other but the seats are in front/behind lol. And the turret position on the corsair is pretty good. Also, I'll say that for a solo pilot the Hornet series is still really solid. But yeah I agree it's not really worthwhile for a pair. At that point you probably want a hurricane or Scorpius or Redeemer.
A harbinger is a great option, so are the Ares starfighters. I'm curious why you linked that part of the video though, I don't see what was relevant to your comment?
@@WingZeroType As they won't run away, which means I don't have a reason to get Sentinel over the Harbinger. By the time I get bored with the torpedoes, I should make enough savings for another Andromeda, or I hope.
Is there a place to play Bounty Hunting missions only on moons and not on the asteroid like in Yela? BTW, I have HRT assignments close to VHRT. Personally, I like Crusade more but since the missions are random and can be spawned on the Yela asteroid, I need to go to another planet that only has missions on the moons.
I have a question, I own à Buccaneer and I like having both laser repeater and canon gimbal, but I don't know if the mixed velocity is recommended since canon is 700 and repeater is 1400. What's your opinion ?
I personally hate having mixed velocities as i struggle to aim my weapons then, especially since gimbals will track at different rates and need to aim at different spots. If you are effective with it and it works for you, then great. But I'd suggest trying to use only one system or the other and see how that compares.
hahahaha I love that emoji man. And I'm glad you liked some of those scenic shots! It's why it takes me so damn long to get footage... I capture a lot and pick the best stuff :)
yeah missiles can definitely be hit or miss depending on server performance. Try increasing the number of decoys you fire at once to 3-4 by pressing right alt + h in the cockpit
Just tried a solo VHRT with my Corsair, shotdown a Carrack, Connie Andromeda and M2 Hercules, which was carrying a couple hundred SCU of drugs, so I loaded two 32SCU containers of Widow in my Corsair and made 650k at a trade terminal.. Now gonna try VHRTs using a C2…
niiice! Yeah a C2 is a really solid ship for VHRTs. It's got enough dps and tankiness while having plenty of space. But with the shield holes you probably want to repair the ship every few battles since it's not going to be dodging much incoming fire.
@@CipherChick the RNG has been nerfed in 3.21.1, but it’s still easy to find good cargo, now my main concern is that 4x S5 laser cannons do too much alpha damage, leading to hard kills and less loot, I’ve been experimenting with other loadouts and using a C2 - tanking with shields while more accurately placing shots.
@@WingZeroType the ‘laser fire from AI’ known issue has actually been fixed in Alpha 3.21.1, I’ve not had serious repairs from AI laser weapons so far in a C2, though getting rammed by Constellations, Starfarers and a Caterpillar isn’t fun!
@@shawnc5188Yeah i think you're right! I haven't had a chance to do a lot of combat yet in this patch but the little that I did made it seem like things are better!
@@WingZeroType The current bounty hunter meta fulfills my needs to blow up big ships and loot, and with my C2/M2 I have plenty of cargo space. Blew an AI Redeemer recently, stood off at 2,000m to snipe with S5 lasers, and the 'deemers AD5Bs are wildly inaccurate - took about 1k auec hull damage.
That's right. In 3.19 or 3.20 the missile tracking was reworked to make all missiles more inline with each other since everyone was just using EM missiles. Unfortunately, they went a bit too far and EM missiles now perform the worst. I prefer CS and occasionally IR missiles now
yeah they did a copy/paste bug when they created the "storm" tank. That tank has a size 3 attrition model that they renamed the "reign 3" and it seems like they copied the attrition 3 and screwed up the naming. you can still get the attritions, just go to the loreville store and buy the Reign3s
yep it's true! Set your decoys to 2 per trigger pull by hitting right alt + h and fire off 2-4 decoys (1 -2 triggers) when you see EM missiles coming into you, it should normally send them away. It's dependent upon server performance though, faster servers will actually be more successful than slower ones.
I dont understand the bounty system. I just started and either I get missions ALWAYS on the other side of the system, or they vanish completely includiong marker and mobiglass tracking, at the second I drop out of quantum travel. I never once got a mission near the same planet. One would think that authorities care mostly about their own planet, not some ass-end of the universe backwater planet 20 minutes away, and when you get a bounty there, the backwater planet authorities send you right back to the capital where you came from. Totally messed up. Today I wasted 3 hours taking on contracts, traveling, and losing them. Idk if it was bugged but it was no fun.
That's not what's supposed to happen. The only bounties that should appear in random parts of the system are the certification missions. And there's 5 or 6 of those total, one for each level of difficulty. Other than those, you get missions for the planetary security body that you're at after you do the 4k intro mission for that security faction. If you're not getting missions completed successfully make sure the target has a "neutralize" marker on it before you kill it.
I'm not sure level 3 with crusader lets you enter Kareah, i still get the trespassing message and i'm maxed with Crusader. For security/bunkers, safely entering is determined by mission type. If you're evicting illegal occupants, the bunker will be hostile. If you're backing up or defending a site, the bunker will be friendly.
@@LaPiraguaAsesinaYou get bonus payouts and unlock higher level bunkers once you get to higher level missions. The T3 and higher bunkers don't have hostile turrets
New player here was wondering if this info is still valid in the current patch? Pve bounty hunting is the most fun way I’ve been making money just using the mustang alpha takes a while to kill things though
A lot of this is still valid, in fact I'd say the majority of it is. Ship combat has changed a lot in 3.23 with master modes but the systems behind bounty hunting and ranking up haven't. The biggest difference is how the weapons work now, and for that I'd suggest checking out this video: ruclips.net/video/EW4wA4JIQig/видео.html
Sorry I hvaen't tried pvp but the CS s9 missiles are super slow so it's between the EM and IR probably. I'd personally go IR for S9 and probably CS/IR for S5
Cool video! As a criminal player, I just hope CIG increases the bounty reward for PvP bounties, the payout is just too bad to justify the effort for most players.
Yeah I totally agree, especially b/c sometimes you have to travel all the way across the system since you have no way of knowing where they are before you take the bounty.
Welcome to the verse! Ballistic weapons aren't super strong in the current patch, most bounties are so tanky that the ballistic weapons that you'd be able to fit on the mustang would need to constantly be restocked unless you're doing the lowest tier of bounties. Size 1 and 2 Ballistic repeaters only have 16 seconds of fire time, and the cannons/scatterguns only have about a minute before they run dry.
Any recommendations on ships to use? I am new to SC and Bounty hunting is was the biggest drive to start playing. I started with a Titan pack so I got jus the Titan. Sure I know FE the Eclipse is your stealth EZ win ship but thats gonna take a LONG time to grind xD
I'd say a hornet or a vanguard are your best bet in that case. Hornet is around 1.4M if I recall and Vanguard is a little over 2M after the loadout. For both, I have loadouts in my loadout spreadsheet, and I recommend laser cannon loadouts for both for VHRTs, but both will do really really well with laser repeater loadouts up through HRTs. If you want to get a *bit* cheaper, a gladius is around 1.2M and its a lot of fun to fly but it has pretty low dps so it'll be a slog against VHRTs.
@@wnen8611Sabre is a bit on the pricier end (though it looks GOOD) lol. If you're spending sabre money, i'd highly recommend getting a vanguard over that - it's a lot stronger. But the Hornet is definitely fantastic
This is the F8C Lightning, a ship that was unfortunately only available for a limited time period and only for real money (not available to purchase with in-game aUEC). It might be offered for sale again in the future, but it's unclear if it'll be offered in-game for aUEC until after SQ42 releases.
Certain missile launchers that are custom to ships have a delay between missile fires. The Freelancer MIS's size 3 missile racks have that delay built into the missiles. Another example is the S3 Ares-specific missile rack on both ares. Any of the MSD-XXX missile racks on ships will fire them all instantly, but the custom racks often have slightly different fire rates. (325a is another one that fires slowly, i think)
it can be, but the ones I'm talking about are created by NPCs. It shows up under the beacons category in the contract manager. You do a few of them at low payouts and then you start getting higher payout ones which are really convenient and a great way to make money, but they're really hard to come by b/c unlike bounty hunting missions you're competing with EVERYONE ELSE for them lol.
The OFFICIAL uniform of the Bounty Hunter's Guild is the hospital gown.

Thank you very much for the video. The best guide I've seen for people with little experience in the game like me. Again, thank you very much.
Thank you so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
As a noob you just made this game so much easier for me and to better understand the ships and bounties. Thank you for providing the load outs for all the ships.
That's fantastic to hear! I'm so glad you found it useful. Welcome to the game and feel free to ask any questions anytime.
appreciate you keeping bounty hunting guides updated, dont always have the time to play but bounty hunting has been my main grind when I do. nice vid as always
Thank you for checking it out! And yeah bounty hunting is my jam too, I'm excited to see a bigger variety of ships entering the fray :D
Thanks! i really apprechiated this, have been digging a lot into VHRT's lately in my various ships, pretty fun to crack open that easter egg.
That's great to hear! Thanks for checking out the video and leaving that lovely feedback :)
Good tip!
this video is better than every other i watched. even provides a link with ship loadouts. thank you. this is an easy go to and very short and detailed.
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it and are finding it useful :)
WOW, awesome Video and great updated knowledge. I am an old space dog and found it every helpful. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! and thanks for checking out the vid even though you're a veteran :)
Brother you saved a few times my life since i took care and watched your guide. I hope I got you now a few viewers that they can figure out to counter me
That's great to hear man! I'm glad you've found these vids useful :D
The proximity visual made me spray coffee all over my monitor. Well done, sir! o7

Fantastic guide, I appreciate your concise videos since it's hard for me to keep up with changes to ship combat from patch to patch.
Great to hear man! I love hearing that it was useful for you
Merc work is by far the funnest to do, and gets you loot that you can sell or keep.
That's the great thing about the game, there's so many fun things to do. I like doing bunkers as well, and mining, and cargo looting ;). I can't wait until hull munching comes by and hangar elevators so that salvage is hopefully less tedious

Thank you so much! And thank you ITKN headless for sharing my stuff :) Sorry for the late response, but I still appreciate it nonetheless :D
And the moons have low density so you can zoom to your target pretty quick :)
Also, I heard that the asteroid slammed into you? At least that's the story I'm telling the cops
@@WingZeroType Some asteroids sure did slam into me! I couldn't even see them!

It's already been said a few dozen times, but your guides are fantastic!
With four guns the Aurora performs pretty decently, at least in space! I struggle with it's unwillingness to turn in atmosphere though lol
Glad to hear I’m not the only one dealing with terrible S9 EM performance this patch haha
oh yeah for sure, and not just this patch. It started in 3.20 lol

A side note, the attrition repeaters have less spread than the animal family of repeaters. Lightstrikes also have less DPS drop off at longer ranges.
Differences between m3a and omnisky ?

None, as far as dps, spread etc, might be component health/emissions etc, not checked in a while as it doesnt matter that much

Eject into backspace into alt-f4.
Escape option is NOT fixed at al. People know how to work around it, it has only gotten slightly better.

What great guide!
Thanks for checking it out!

@@WingZeroType you really broke down all the info amazing.
Gimbals can be useful for taking down UGF turrets
how so? can't you just take them out without gimbals?
@@WingZeroType you can, in my experience gimbals make that a lot more efficient
@@WingZeroType Oh, I see. Thank you for your swift reply
4:09 --> What ship are you flying ?
Nice vidéo !
Redeemer
i believe thats the Redeemer
thank you! And yeah others have it right - it's the redeemer
what music songs are you using? especially in 21:30
Hey sorry for the late response. I list the music used in all my videos in the video description, and it's always in the order that they show up in the video so you can usually find it pretty quick. In this case, the track was Nana Kwabena - Timpani Beat
I cant wait for the new tier list for the new bounty pool
Hehe yeah a bunch of people have mentioned that. It's definitely on the to-do list! CIG has closed the issue council bug for NPC laser damage penetrating shields so I'm waiting for that fix to hit LIVE since that will drastically change the list around (since large ships will be able to tank damage with their shields again instead of just eating all incoming damage to their hull)
Looking at your Spreadsheet... why do you choose the Omniskys over the M7 & M6 for the Constellations?
For the S5s, any gun is fine. If you want to purely min/max, you would run the M6A in the s5 slot, but I just prefer to have matched omniskys b/c i don't love the look of the M6a. But yeah use whatever you want for both slots, there's no diff for the s5s and a very minimal diff for the S4s
Perhaps i misunderstood but the vanguard harbinger also has torps... i think...
that is correct! I thought I mentioned that? If I didn't, it was a mistake on my part!
1:50 All planets in the star system? Did you mean known Galaxy?
Well for now, the star system is the known galaxy lol.
all jokes aside that excel spreadsheet with every build in it is just killer, recently bought a vanguard warden and wasnt sure the primary loadout to run for pve bounties.
If I do group contracts on crusader will both Northrock boost and crusader boost be in effect?
not both at the same time for a single mission. If you are doing a group contract, you only get the northrock reputation bonus payment. If you're doing a single bounty, you're only getting the crusader bonus payment
@WingZeroType thanks for the info! :)
great video
Thanks a bunch for checking it out!
Thanks for your amazing content and loadout guides,
Question how is the performance of these for PvE and PvP, are they more intended for PvE bounty hunting quests?
Thanks :) Waiting for updated erkul for Sentinel! O7
it's on the spreadsheet!
Something like Super Hornet works, but its almost useless in nowadays :(
Like my Sentinel, but maybe will but Cutlass Black for more “crew” immersion
Would be also nice to let second guy to fly the ship, transfer controls somehow..
Just earned a sub

19:14 ...I guess i will just get Vanguard Harbinger for my end-game bounty hunting..
Sorry for the late response, but yeah you can go to ArcCorp and bounties will only be on the two moons of Wala and Lyria
Damn some of those ships look awesome. Tali at 3m32 had the proximity missiles going off🧡 dont like the look of those impacts

yeah missiles can definitely be hit or miss depending on server performance.
Blew an AI Redeemer recently, stood off at 2,000m to snipe with S5 lasers, and the 'deemers AD5Bs are wildly inaccurate - took about 1k auec hull damage.
em missiles like taskforce or dominator are not meta anymore like they were in 3.17 ? they were hitting components hard and they where hard to avoid

@@WingZeroType that worked, thanks!
You said flares work as countermeasures for all types of missiles. Is that true? I thought you had to use noise for EM missiles.
yep it's true! Set your decoys to 2 per trigger pull by hitting right alt + h and fire off 2-4 decoys (1 -2 triggers) when you see EM missiles coming into you, it should normally send them away. It's dependent upon server performance though, faster servers will actually be more successful than slower ones.
So what would you say is the number one single seater ship right now to complete PvE bounties?
For VHRTs and ERTs I'd say the Ares Ion, assuming you're not counting the torpedo boats.
@@WingZeroType Thanks for the heads-up, appreciate it! I'll do some more missions today and see how it turns out.
hi, a question. I heard to enter safely to Kareah level 3 with Crusader is requeried. Does this affect to bounty level o security/bunkers ? thanks
@@WingZeroType thanks for answer. Maybe leve 3 crusader is to pop up kareah mission ? I saw some people leveling it for some reason ...
@@LaPiraguaAsesinaYou get bonus payouts and unlock higher level bunkers once you get to higher level missions. The T3 and higher bunkers don't have hostile turrets
i always get 4 beacons at the same time at too high distances so im not really able to complete in time.
yeah you basically need to quantum to the location where it is before accepting it
New player here was wondering if this info is still valid in the current patch? Pve bounty hunting is the most fun way I’ve been making money just using the mustang alpha takes a while to kill things though
A lot of this is still valid, in fact I'd say the majority of it is. Ship combat has changed a lot in 3.23 with master modes but the systems behind bounty hunting and ranking up haven't. The biggest difference is how the weapons work now, and for that I'd suggest checking out this video: ruclips.net/video/EW4wA4JIQig/видео.html
what missiles and torp do you think it's the best of pvp?
Sorry I hvaen't tried pvp but the CS s9 missiles are super slow so it's between the EM and IR probably. I'd personally go IR for S9 and probably CS/IR for S5
Weapon and system loadouts are off for the vanguards. You should update them
what do you mean?
Cool video! As a criminal player, I just hope CIG increases the bounty reward for PvP bounties, the payout is just too bad to justify the effort for most players.
Yeah I totally agree, especially b/c sometimes you have to travel all the way across the system since you have no way of knowing where they are before you take the bounty.
Why no ballistic weapons on the C.O. Mustang fitting? Newbie here
Welcome to the verse!
@@WingZeroType thanks for answering!
@@WingZeroType Thanks, in game alot of people are saying things like Hornet and Sabre so I think I am going to check one of those
@@wnen8611Sabre is a bit on the pricier end (though it looks GOOD) lol. If you're spending sabre money, i'd highly recommend getting a vanguard over that - it's a lot stronger. But the Hornet is definitely fantastic
@@WingZeroType any specific vanguard varient you'd recommend
Vanguard sentinal and it's the cheapest I guess too
whats the ship called at 14:50 ?
This is the F8C Lightning, a ship that was unfortunately only available for a limited time period and only for real money (not available to purchase with in-game aUEC). It might be offered for sale again in the future, but it's unclear if it'll be offered in-game for aUEC until after SQ42 releases.
How are you firing one missile at a time with 3 armed at 22:16? I always thought you had to fire all armed missiles at once in that mode.
(325a is another one that fires slowly, i think)
cant wait to fly my Zeus Mr
I can't wait to try them all out! I love RSI design
what is combat assist beacon? Is that the player created ones?
it can be, but the ones I'm talking about are created by NPCs. It shows up under the beacons category in the contract manager. You do a few of them at low payouts and then you start getting higher payout ones which are really convenient and a great way to make money, but they're really hard to come by b/c unlike bounty hunting missions you're competing with EVERYONE ELSE for them lol.
