As someone who's been watching RUclips for years, I think there's only piece of advice I think I can offer. Math the quality of your thumbnail to the quality of your videos. The intro is short and sweet, good audio, good animation. The audio quality throughout the video is top notch, the volume of the background music doesn't eclipse the content.
You've done so much right in your first video that o genuinely believe the area to focus on improvement is the thumbnail. Top notch content mate.

I haven't tried the Santokyai repeaters yet, but the Singe tachyon cannons on the Banu Defender are really good right now. They basically turned them into mini railguns that you have to charge to fire similar to the Ion's size 7. They fire super fast projectiles with a very high alpha damage but a low fire rate thus low DPS like a laser version of the Sledge 3. They definitely hit hard and kill quickly but take a bit of practice to use.

I came to relies that dps on full ballistic with my harbinger definatly dropped on this update which lead my to remember shields were suppose to nerf damage a lil before but now ballistics doesnt reduce shields, so im now doing on any ship i play on doing a hybrid laser/ballistics build to reduce shields and then full dps the hull. Feels like damage went up from before when i did this.

in what little testing we did with a friend, a Scorpius with x4 Size 3 Quarreler / Omnisky Laser cannons & a Turret equipped with x4 Singe-3 Cannons was DEADLY.
If your gunner is half decent and knows how to aim, we were consistently taking out targets bigger than us, maneuvering around them easily and taking out other fighters, mediums & more quite easily.
Even in PvP we did great, having consistent damage being applied to the enemy is key and we did it - it was a blast to fly that thing.
I also find myself using recently a Corsair with x4 AD5Bs and x2 Size 4 OmniSky cannons and for turrets im trying out the NBD Repeaters and swapping between them or Omnisky cannons - both seem to work, depending on what you want. Less more powerful shots or More shots to pepper the enemy, damage is similar and ammo speed is the same.
I only wish the Turrets on the Corsair could take Singe 3s so we can test it out. Next thing we will be testing is possibly a Hammer Head with Only Singes, see how it stacks up LoL

I've been trying to figure out what weapons to put onto my ships, may end up going mixed ballistic and laser eventually but I'm hesitant on ballistic since once you're out of ammo, you're out of ammo. Laser weapons at least won't ever run out. It will be interesting to see where the weapon meta leads, and maybe we'll get a shield meta when they differentiate shields since right now they all are exactly the same.

    Great video
So all in all: Laser weapons do more damage per shot but theyr power is divided by all laser weapons on the ship (ammo capacity) and ballistics do almost half the damage to shields(or hull) but the dmg through the shield stays
So the overall performance would be a mix of ballistics and laser weapons on a ship I guess.
Given the fact that you can’t just fly away anymore without risking heavy damage to your ship I guess ballistics are better against light/medium and lasers@/balistic mix vs everything else.
Since I own an inferno and where farming ert bountys with the s7 monster I quite grew on ballistics.

Great video! I dunno why CIG has kept the 50% ballistic protection flat across the board still when they could just lower ballistic damage by that ammo. Something I think is worth noting is the better energy efficiency means you don't necessarily need to commit full power to weapons as often, and with the change of shields getting resistance when they are given power. Erkul just says "X capacitor resistance multiplier" which I don't really know what that means, to be fair.
