One of issues I've come across while doing vaughn missions, is that sometimes you just can't insert the tigerclaw inside the card slot at Comms arrays. Otherwise this is one of the most satisfying and good paying game loops now. Also, watch out for Maze, which can also spawn on those missions and is just slightly less expensive than the Eggs.
This sounds like a WELL BALANCED ERT from .22 more steps for a pretty decent reward. Thanks for sharing this gonna get my team together and try at the weekend.

Edit: what I appreciate most about this video is, that it encourages players to experience criminal gameplay with the possibility for PvP encounters, without harassing peaceful players and still being able to get WAY more profit than just ganking the average joe in his hauler on a traderoute. Very cool. You would want the M series cannons (M7A for example) instead of Omnesky's when punching up in ship size. That's Subliminal's recommendation, and that dude is like the ship PVE fitting guru.
@@Vertexnine Subliminal in his ERT tier list video explained it as, the M series cannons have a harder time tracking smaller ships, but have higher dps. Since you're hitting large ships in the higher level missions, you want to use the M series.

The slower projectile speed is not an issue against the bigger targets in VHRTs and ERTs, while the damage increase is essentially to clear those missions before random hits from NPC ballistic weapons eat up to much of your Hulls HP. Though I would say that Deadbolts are still a great choice especially when you are getting into 890s or anything else with capital ship size shields.
The ability to pay off crimestats isnt determined by your CS level but by the crime you commited, you can get CS3 from armistice violations and other minor crimes then go pay it off, but murder you cant
If you commit minor crimes to gain a CS 2, THEN commit murder, will it still allow you to at least pay off the fines for the minor crimes to reduce your total sentence before you end up in Klescher? I try by best to avoid committing crimes just because I cant stand the prison game loops (which is a good thing btw), but any time Ive gotten a high enough crime stat to lose Armistice zone privileges and be attacked on sight, Ive never really had an opportunity to visit the stations where I COULD pay them off?
Everytime i hack the comms, theres always someone that restores them within ~30min .... The "comm array icon" doesnt update while you are in the area...so you dont see that it is restored. You see it after you get your CS for killing. So most of the time...i let the comm array active and just do the missions, as long as i can...and then get to my 24h sentence in prison.
Yeah we had that in our testing of this loop, that's why Loud had myself and Kanfoud sitting at the Comm Arrays with a gun and a good book to keep us occupied
@@jakeseward9035 not anymore, they've changed how missions work for a lot of these to stop people doing just that. We did try that before but we found on testing with two separate parties that multiple people can claim the mission
Interesting idea for having a crew stationed to defend the array. I wonder if you could set up a blockade to prevent people from jumping to spk etc and use that to "generate hulls" to be munched by salvage ops 😮
@@ikharus1 it did taper off but I’m finding eggs in every Vaughn mission. I’ve found 2 with 75, a few with 30+, but it seems the average is about 15 total between all ships.
As of November 3 2024 I dont see the terminals at hex or reclamation accepting 24 SCU and 32 SCU containers. 24SCU says 0 auec and will not give money for them sadly. This is for drugs runs.

I was just doing these and the array was put back up but the symbol didn't show in the corner so I ended up getting crimestat anyways. I didn't find a single SCU of eggs or Maze. Terrible RNG tonight. I heard they had nerfed the number of eggs in the missions and I'm inclined to believe it after my recent runs. The most I've found is 14SCU of eggs in a mission. Other missions had 1-3SCU of eggs.
In the last major patch before the rep reset, I actually got vaugn maxed out but I am the type of criminal player that doesn't like to be seen so I would down the comm arrays. It takes an incredible amount of effort to do so these days(and even before) but I always liked the extra prep because I can do the mission effectively and loot cargo without risk and I can't go back to klecher, 5 back to back 12 hour sentences will make you never want to return. Though, you showing that the cargo is actually better on vaughns missions makes me want to go back. After all the nerfs to legal bounties, it's not even worth doing them and I got all the way up to ERTs. At least the devs at least made an incentive to the illegal bounties because prior to 3.23 Vaughn's missions virtually had no difference with the cargo options on ships if not less but for more effort. I still believe they need to make the rewards for missions and other stuff make sense(pay more for the effort) considering they raised the prices of everything but we make significantly less now.
Yep, and it’s not too overtuned either so there’s no reason to nerf it - it’s the right balance of effort, risk, and reward to my mind. I really enjoyed the planning and execution of the op when we did it properly with the comm array hacks.

Legal mission highscore was 43scu of eggs for me this patch ( 3.23.1 ) but yeah, its rare. My problems with the legal ERTs are: 1. having to wait until you get one in space, i dont even bother with planetary when i want loot, even if you kill them 300-500 meters above the ground, the often flip in a way you cant loot, or explode anyways. 2. ERT legal have only 4 targets. HH, 890j, Redeemer, A2 - Only the A2 has a high yield chance i think. I did way beyond 100 ERT this patch, and 20+ 890j and these just had loot once, and it was 1 scu of weavil. So as the targets are the same, i wonder if there at least more space bounties. Because if i calculate the time required for the comm array when you go solo, legal bounties might be still my way to go as i prioritize AUEC/hour more than group play.
The key here is that all 4x targets can contain weevil eggs (and other drugs / quant) not just the main target like in ERT. Then add that the escorts can be C2’s and M2’s (cargo grid size determines chances of good hauls). Edit: as a comparison our best single run included more than 70 GWE’s.

I’ve never taken down a comm array. I’m gonna try it. Probably a Corsair with dragonflies in the back would be optimal. Or maybe the X1 fits in its elevator? To try solo. I wouldn’t have a problem killing NPCs for the unverified missions. Players is another story tho, they’d have to deserve it somehow in my book.
I’m not one for springing PvP on people who are avoiding it (e.g. I wouldn’t attack someone trading at a normal outpost) but I think it’s fair game in hot zones - scrapyards, rappel etc - and those who pickup a PvP mission (I’ve got no problems fighting back against a bounty Hunter coming for me or someone who comes to turn a comm array back on).

It’s a server related problem, I tend to put my bike in my ship and if I come up against a dud comm array I go back to the ship and bedlog. Switch server region to ensure a different one. Then I try again.
Yep certainly for the firepower. Cargo on the Corsair is a wee bit lacking vs other options, but if you’ve got a mate in a cargo hauler you’ll be grand.
I shit you not, I had a Level 3 Crimestat and just logged off in my bed near Port Tressler. When I restarted my game I spawned in a hab on Port Tressler, and just payed-off my tier 3. I was busy scraping ships that were near the station for RMC. I obviously lost the RMC, but didn't spend time in the slammer.
If your CS is an accumulation of CS2’s and 1’s (stuff like tresspassing, illegal salvage, towing etc) then you can pay it off even if it’s a CS3. If it’s a straight CS3 (like homicide) you can’t pay it.
The thing about filthy min maxers (I lean that way) is that we just do whatever makes the most sense and are generally quite flexible. I think tbh I’ll save time net net by taking less time to get a ship out / exit habs at the start of every session.

This game is becoming so complex. Maybe, it's just the patch changes causing confusion, but is a noob supposed to enjoy this game? Even with handholding, the complexity is not sticky.
Great good job getting one of the only well paid missions patched like why. This is gonna end up getting illegal missions patched like ert missions got patched and now they pay trash.

Sometimes? I have been able to insert it 3 times out of 20 or so seperate attempts lmao have stoped trying to level up Vaugn rep because of this.

It's not really worth the time and inventory space, you're better off filling up as many gems as you can

This is actually not completely true. You can pay off a Crime Stat of 3+ at grim hex (Its incredibly expensive though)
Filthy min maxers are going to hate the "bed log rework". Where you log out (bed or not) you will log back in at.
