Fun fact for anyone who isn't aware, the concept of mjolnir being tied to worthiness is purely from Marvel. In Norse mythology it's just a fuckoff heavy hammer with some extra abilities like always returning to the wielder when thrown. Thor in myth even has to wear special gauntlets (Járngreipr) and a special belt (megingjörð) to be able to lift it.
I hate how now all pop culture references to norse mythology has the wrong idea of mjolnir. I really like how it literally is just heavy and that's its super power. no lightning shenaniganry just a stupidly heavy hammer.

Mjolnir is the most powerful weapon in Norse mythology. It was made by the dwarfs, Brokk and Eitri. When they was making Mjolnir, Loki sabotaged the making of the hammer, which is why it has a short handle. In the myths, worthyness is not a factor to be able to lift it, you just have to be stron enough. Mjolnir is so heavy that Thor, the god of streangth , needs a belt that doubles his streangth and iron gloves to be able to wield it properly!
But in fjordur. Is it just a skin ? Just to give a different look. Or is it a bit stronger ? In both cases getting all the explorer note is a pain. And the skin is not worth it. Even if its a bit stronger. Someone who finished all maps and have ascendant tek rifle,and ascendant tek sword and amazing armor will be able to take down any wild creature with ease. What does the skin do differently it will still do the same

I see that for someone who finished all maps and finished ark completely he will not need it. But it looks cool
One thing I was worried about before gen 2 and lost island, fjordur were released was wild card not giving this game a good ending and final chapter and they nailed it. From gen 2 to making new boss fights for the last 2 free maps, just amazing the job they did in my opinion.
In what world was gen 2 a good dlc that map is barren and the Rockwell biome has a pink fog that never goes away so it’s just miserable. Whoever thought that a dlc with a total of 2 biomes needs to be fired, just look at extinction compared to and you can see the clear difference, extinction had Meks, titans, fantastic creatures, awesome map and a great story, gen 2 had none of these
i whole-heartedly believe that something is going to change about mjolnir, that lightning doesnt seem to be worth the near impossible amount of tasks to do in order to get mjolnir. so either i think wildcard might buff the hammer, or make getting it easier. also kinda odd that wildcard now has a weapon skin that buffs the tek sword, yet is locked behind a paywall...
The cost of every dlc is less than the game, it’s not that much. Also, the people complaining about a paywall wouldn’t go through all of the effort to reach level 190. If they would, then they wouldn’t have an issue buying the dlcs. Support games you love.
@@BamassacreGaming honestly, yeah...if you put the insane effort to go to level 190, which is defeating all the main island bosses, all 3 Rockwell's and the titan all on alpha plus the getting ALL the explorer notes which is an insane task to do and ontop of that still get the 200 runes scattered all across fjordur and it's 4 realms for another 10 and then the Chibis, if the paywall is your problem then yeah, you definitely aren't playing the game enough to properly care
Hey Syntac, I just wanna let you know that in my few hours playing Fjordur I've seen a tropeo, griffin, snow owl, and r-snow owl! Haven't yet seen Fenrir though, but andrewsarchus really like hanging around waterfalls and streams. For me at least. Thank you for all the hard work!

Before lifting Mjolnir, I would also beat Scorched Earth even though it doesn’t have an ascension. You also need to defeat the Alpha King Titan on Extinction and do that ascension as well.
I'm pretty sure this is wrong, the only real requirements are being 190 and killing fjordur's main boss, meaning that since manticore and king titan both don't affect your level in any way other than raw xp you never need to bother with them
I can already see the PC mods that remove the requirements. I can honestly see this as one of the big goals for something like ultimate ARK or your cluster series
You can just go on private servers or go single player and change the player cap level over the 200 in the .ini file You do not really need all the dlc, the ascensions etc x)
They don’t need to remove all requirements. But there are things like all ascensions, for which I just don’t have time, to do in a short time. I play a few hours a week, so it would take me probably close to a year to just complete the ascensions (maybe longer, I’m a total noob). Replacing the ascensions with other tasks, which aren’t too easy, would be ok.
I personally think the hardest part to get it aren't the notes, i mean they need time but there are maps for them. The hardest and most annoying and maybe Impossible part for most players are the Missions froms Gen1 and 2, because some of them are really hard and not meant to do Solo. So much to the point they are actually undoable solo. And remember, for Gen2 you need to have them done yourself to fight the Boss, unlike Gen1 where only 1 Player had to have them all
Gen 1 missions were such a disappointment. They fact that were not balanced for SP was a kick in the teeth. I ended up cheating my through all the alpha missions, just so I could be done with the map and move on. If you need any tricks for beating the alpha missions, let me know.
Not only is getting to level 190 a gruelsome task, on Singleplayer it is completely IMPOSSIBLE! If you want to reach Alpha Ascension on Genesis Part 1, you have to complete at least 2 Gauntlet Missions on Alpha. The issue is that the in-game weapons do so little damage to your opponent, you will never be able to finish all 5 waves, even on Singleplayer settings. Basically if you want Mjolnir, you have to do all of this on a Multiplayer Server with friends. I can't believe the Ark Devs have made an impossible-to-obtain-in-Singleplayer item.
For those Genesis missions in single player you'll have to use the auto complete console codes, aka cheat. I don't think it's possible to solo them on alpha.
I thought some of the alpha missions in Gen:1 were unbeatable on solo too, but they can be done with console commands, if you don't mind cheating your way past poor game mechanics. I have the Alpha Ascension done, for Gen:1, on SP. Let me know if you want any help with missions.
You can crank those numbers more in SP if you so desire though, so you can either make yourself not take damage, or make you do crazy damage just for those missions. Complain about the missions, not the item (and I'll just find or make a mod so I can use it without having to play any other maps than Fjordur)
I also think it's pretty sucky, because as cool as the skin and ability is, there are people like me who will never subscribe to Genesis and so will never complete those extra missions to get the levels.... Thus, we're locked out of it. :/ And it's definitely not worth buying a $20-30 season pass just to use cheat codes so I can get it via singleplayer.... Wish they'd just stuck to all the other requirements minus the Ark Genesis, thus making it more accessible for a single player to complete it without cheating. Yeah, the other requirements all together are a LOT of work, but they're at least doable.
It’s not impossible. I love how people think it should be handed to them at level 1 for free, because it is their right and they deserve it. Just because something is hard, doesn’t make it impossible. Doing challenging things makes the reward worth it. Those are not impossible, I only play sp and have done those things you mentioned.
Fun fact: The actual Mjolnir can’t make Thor fly, Thor rides a chariot with flying Goats. Sad part is he does eat them often but them resurrects their bones with his hammer.

It's alot of fun to mess with. I will say as someone who had a character that went through and did all those Ascensions, found all the explorer notes, I would NOT be doing it just for the opportunity to use Mjolnir. It's a toy and it can do some fun stuff, but unless you have a TON of Melee and a really good Tek Sword, this is a novelty at best. This is one I'll mess with on the private servers for sure, it'll be fun to throw it at my buddies while they're base building just to have them go "What the..?"
(Not in the same situation) I agree, but what I *do* really like is them building in some sort of progression system beyond "learn engrams, get new implant."
I don't know if it's just me but I love that it's so hard to use - it'd be incredibly lame if you saw everyone running around with Mjolnir like it's a common item

No no. Its not so hard to use. Its IMPOSSIBLE to use for a single player. Because finishing all the gen1 missions in alpha and the alpha master controller is 99.9% impossible. Extinction and the alpha king titan are much easier.
@@batty5265 as for the alpha master controller I was able to kill it after 10 tries.because I either die by reapers/gigas in the last 3minutes while collecting keys or the time runs out. I managed to beat it finally. But I didn't finish all the missions. The problem is not in the hunt missions because with a great number of mutations or some strategies like the hover skiff. Even the alphas are not that hard. Its the gauntlets missions and some other missions that are built just for alpha tribes neglecting any solo player or small tribe
Also getting all the explorer notes from every single map is not fun. I will not force myself to get them just to get the skin.no at all. Even if I ascend again from every single map I will not get the explorer notes
Syntac here is a test throw mjolner into the ocean, then go to the other side of the map and then summon the hammer and see how long it takes for it to come to you,
I think it's fantastic, I feel like the lightning should be stronger, considering this is basically the last item in the game you can even get, should be destroying most things with it! Least Non boss creatures. Just to make it fun, that's my only thought. Other than that, I absolutely love it, being able to dye the lightning is just a Gold addition they added

You won't spawn with the skin on your own. You have to beat all the bosses from the base game, those from the DLCs, you have to find all the explorer notes, you have to find 200 runes on the Fjordur map, and even that won't still be enough, you have to level up your chibis by killing Alphas, which will get you to level 190 (past the base game 105) and eventually you'd have to defeat the final boss, an Alpha Fenrir, whose body you loot the skin from. Then you apply it to your TEK sword and you can use Mjölnir. All of that was said in the video btw.
@@Syntac you probably already know this but mjolnir scales with the tek sword so getting a really good tek sword can increase how powerful it is however by how much is beyond me
It should be able to pin down dinos like a net and shock them unconscious, or add topor over time when on top of a creature and causing the lighting to strike down
It would be fun to make a server where there can only be one Mjolnir spawned ever and it shows up on the map at all times. So once the first person creates it and then there is a battle to see who is the last person to own it before server reset.
I don't know much about the game but I have seen a few maps of the game. Which is funnier between Fjordur and Ragnarok? Or which one is better for someone new?
So if you play this map on someone's private server & have to create a character there will be no way to weld Mjolnir? A lot of private servers don't allow for character or dino uploads.
7:40 in norse mythology (which i think is what they went off bc of the hammers shape) Mjölnir can only be moved by thor because it requires his gauntlet and belt and exact strength
yea and its got 0 power other than it being fucking dense as fuck. the lighting thing which is now also shown in the mcu is from thor and the hammer got nothing to do with it at all
No others have held it, just not effectively because he has to use his gloves (jarngreipr) to summon the hammer and get a proper grip on it, and his belt (megingjord), which doubles his strength. I forget the jotun's name, but he's the one from the story of when thor dressed up in a wedding dress to retrieve mjolnir from said giant, posing as freyja, his stepmother. Also, after ragnarok, it is said that his two sons magni and modi will inherit mjolnir and gungnir, which are the two strongest weapons ever crafted in the sagas. Magni, being the literal god of strength obviously finds preference in mjolnir, where as modi being the god of combat, berserkers and a secondary god of wisdom prefers gungnir. However bith brothers use are said that they will use weapons interchangeably.
08:18 = I agree the problem is - once you have done ALL these things why would you need this HAMMER ! there probably is not much else to do apart from walk around showing off this thing - now if you needed this to defeat a final boss in Fjordur that would be a thing :)
You will 100% crash but it should save that they are done, just turn the game back on and download the character. The crash is caused by trying to play multiple animations at once.

Soooo you going to keep with your character and then have Fjordr as part of the cluster and if you do will you get the lost island as part of your cluster would be cool get yourself a good sino again XD. ALSO also can't forget to mention tame and breed some onycs and araneos to a above average level possible super variants would be awesome.
So basically you have to own all the dlcs do every mission on gen 1 and 2 which is impossible on single player get all the exsploer notes then fight every ALPHA Level boss. A lot of work and grinding that’s gonna be needed to be done to get this item but it does look pretty cool and it will be an awesome reward for doing all this grinding
Love how wildcard has done this but has NOT fixed the issues with the genesis 2 explorer notes making it impossible to become “ worthy “ for this skin ( some gen 2 hnla trigger logs aint working at all I’ve noticed making it impossible to complete)
As it is a skin, your character will most likely keep it once transfered to other maps, that means you should be able to use Mjölnir in other maps with no issues.
I dare you to make a series where you unlock using this thing.. or just work on it on the side in an already ongoing series. Become Thor, acquire the bragging rights
don't forget, ark is free on steam right now too. Like pick it up, own it forever kinda free. I feel like THAT is their real way of apology for the delay, honestly.
All i heard was don't bother going for it because by the time you get it you won't bloody need it. Although seeing tribes go to war all just using mjolinir would be fun.

The reason it's nerfed so heavily is if it was good then it would become the ultimate pvp method that requires only boost and no skill

im still stuck on Gen2, cant do the Alpha cause the damn raft mission is glitchy as fuck
Couldn't agree more It took me and my friends days to beat gen1 and 2 so many attempts I absolutely despise the missions on them
The xp is the most difficult part you need like 1.5 billion xp to get lvl 190

Its the gauntlets missions and some other missions that are built just for alpha tribes neglecting any solo player or small tribe
Also getting all the explorer notes from every single map is not fun. I will not force myself to get them just to get the skin.no at all. Even if I ascend again from every single map I will not get the explorer notes
Syntac here is a test throw mjolner into the ocean, then go to the other side of the map and then summon the hammer and see how long it takes for it to come to you,

Dude! This gotta be the hardest map. Even harder than Genesis. All explorer notes, all missions and all bosses is just a headache.

I think it's fantastic, I feel like the lightning should be stronger, considering this is basically the last item in the game you can even get, should be destroying most things with it! Least Non boss creatures. Just to make it fun, that's my only thought. Other than that, I absolutely love it, being able to dye the lightning is just a Gold addition they added
Lbh its the most work you'll have to do in ALL games. Even with admin commands the task is GIGAntic

Are you worthy forever, i get that it's a skin and you will spawn with the hammer skin but will you still be worthy to use the powers or do you just have the skin on a new server?

I don't think you will spawn with the skin. And no you HAVE to be lvl 190 to use it.
You won't spawn with the skin on your own. You have to beat all the bosses from the base game, those from the DLCs, you have to find all the explorer notes, you have to find 200 runes on the Fjordur map, and even that won't still be enough, you have to level up your chibis by killing Alphas, which will get you to level 190 (past the base game 105) and eventually you'd have to defeat the final boss, an Alpha Fenrir, whose body you loot the skin from. Then you apply it to your TEK sword and you can use Mjölnir. All of that was said in the video btw.

@@Syntac you probably already know this but mjolnir scales with the tek sword so getting a really good tek sword can increase how powerful it is however by how much is beyond me

It should be able to pin down dinos like a net and shock them unconscious, or add topor over time when on top of a creature and causing the lighting to strike down
I think mjolnir was made just to be a trophy and only used for pvp purposes and not kill tames

It would be fun to make a server where there can only be one Mjolnir spawned ever and it shows up on the map at all times. So once the first person creates it and then there is a battle to see who is the last person to own it before server reset.

For the explorer notes you can just go into a single player and just do giveallexplorernotes and you will have them on every character you play on
So if you play this map on someone's private server & have to create a character there will be no way to weld Mjolnir? A lot of private servers don't allow for character or dino uploads.
7:40 in norse mythology (which i think is what they went off bc of the hammers shape) Mjölnir can only be moved by thor because it requires his gauntlet and belt and exact strength
yea and its got 0 power other than it being fucking dense as fuck. the lighting thing which is now also shown in the mcu is from thor and the hammer got nothing to do with it at all
No others have held it, just not effectively because he has to use his gloves (jarngreipr) to summon the hammer and get a proper grip on it, and his belt (megingjord), which doubles his strength. I forget the jotun's name, but he's the one from the story of when thor dressed up in a wedding dress to retrieve mjolnir from said giant, posing as freyja, his stepmother. Also, after ragnarok, it is said that his two sons magni and modi will inherit mjolnir and gungnir, which are the two strongest weapons ever crafted in the sagas. Magni, being the literal god of strength obviously finds preference in mjolnir, where as modi being the god of combat, berserkers and a secondary god of wisdom prefers gungnir. However bith brothers use are said that they will use weapons interchangeably.
08:18 = I agree the problem is - once you have done ALL these things why would you need this HAMMER ! there probably is not much else to do apart from walk around showing off this thing - now if you needed this to defeat a final boss in Fjordur that would be a thing :)

Did you use a command to get all the explorer notes? Every time I attempt to do it I crash and dont gain any levels.
You will 100% crash but it should save that they are done, just turn the game back on and download the character. The crash is caused by trying to play multiple animations at once.

Idea for some content (Ark but you start by having mjolnir and being worthy)
So basically you have to own all the dlcs do every mission on gen 1 and 2 which is impossible on single player get all the exsploer notes then fight every ALPHA Level boss.
A lot of work and grinding that’s gonna be needed to be done to get this item but it does look pretty cool and it will be an awesome reward for doing all this grinding
Love how wildcard has done this but has NOT fixed the issues with the genesis 2 explorer notes making it impossible to become “ worthy “ for this skin ( some gen 2 hnla trigger logs aint working at all I’ve noticed making it impossible to complete)
Once you get the skin, can you take it to other maps and equip it to a tek sword? Or will it go away once you leave fjordur?
As it is a skin, your character will most likely keep it once transfered to other maps, that means you should be able to use Mjölnir in other maps with no issues.
