My husband and I tried this and loved it. Thank you! Any chance you might make a baked pakora recipe? Do you think a lightly greased muffin pan would work for a baked pakora?
So glad you liked it. I haven’t tried making baked pakoras but your idea is fantastic. Will definitely give it a try and let you know how my experiment went 😀. Thanks for your feedback 🙏🏾
These look irresistible Bumbi 😋 Thank you so much for the shout out ☺I too would rather be given fresh coriander than flowers 😂We have been eating a lot of cabbage lately. Can't wait to try these thank you ❤I have tried to send this comment six times now, even on your community page. They just keep disappearing xxx
Crispy yummy cabbage onion pakoda..very good accompaniment with Dal n rice .. loved it..Will try using tandoori masala next time I make pakodas.. Thanks to u n Emily!!🤗Happy weekend my dear Corriander lady !😆🫶
Excellent, Bumbi! I have made your normal onion bhajis, but will also try with cabbage in the mix. Your both recipes for this are very good and good advices. Yep, I also prefer it as a side with dal and with the green chutneys you link to, great stuff.
Been looking for that dish since i've tasted it 3 years ago in the Emirates! I loooooove it 😍😍😍thanks Bunbi! I have my chicken curry marinating in my fridge can't wait get my hands on it! Cheers from France🇫🇷
Another amazing recipe thank you for sharing. Also thank you so much for mentioning what alternative can be used if gram flour is not easily accessible . This means a lot because for people like me In the beginning of my cooking journey with you, I honestly didn’t have gram flour and I didn’t even know what it was. Thank you for always being so gracious and being so thoughtful towards all of your viewers from different countries and different backgrounds. Enjoy your weekend with your family 🙏
I first found mine at my local health food store. They sold it as "chickpea flour", and then a couple of years ago a Pakistani food store opened up, it's not close enough to warrant one item shopping but when I have a list of things I need it makes a 40-minute drive worth it.
I'm Korean and instead of the Indian flour and the rice flour, I used Korean pancake mix (jeon) as it has rice flour and baking powder in it already. :) It came out amazing as well. I will have to try the tandoori powder as it looks delicious!!
Namaste 🙏 Bumbi Not quite sure if Mrs Colin would rather have coriander 🌿 than nice flowers 💐!!!😂😂😂but she does love it as it’s 🇮🇳. Simples !! Colin❤ 🌿🏴🇮🇳
Sounds great and usually I also add finely chopped jalapeño with dil but I wouldn't suggest mixing up with queen of leafs , coriander!! Thank you for this recipe:)
This is such an amazing recipe! I found this this morning, but I only had spelt flour at home. I used one half of an extra large head of cabbage and basically doubled the recipe due to the size of the cabbage. I added 6 eggs because I didn't add the right amount of salt to draw out enough water to mix with the flour. These fritters were delightful. Thank you for sharing this recipe! Is there any chance you could do a Shahi Paneer or Shahi Chicken recipe?

LOVE IT ...thanks for sharing recipe and great tips ...never used cabbage in pakora before. How can I store cabbage in freezer as it's always too much to cook and often have to throw it out😞 will definitely try this ...take care 😋😋😋
Hi there. I would like to cook the cabbage onion pakora a few hours before I serve them. How is it best to store them? Should I heat them up again when serving? Many thanks!

I'm always looking for sides to serve with dal and rice, this will do very nicely, thank you (and thank you Emily for the recipe) 😁
Thanks
Thanks Bumbi. Lovely recipe. I see a trip to my local Indian market coming up soon.
Thanks Melody
Lovely recipe Bumbi. Especially during monsoon. Perfect company for piping hot tea ☕️. Also thanks to Emily 🌸
Thanks Veena.
Excellent.
Thank you Bumbi.

So good❤🎉

Thank you for this recipe:)
This is the one I was looking for!
So glad you like this one.
Thank you Bumbi! Those look delicious! Would you please tell me what the red spice is? And would I be able to add grated onion to the mixture?
Do you mean the red spice powder? It is tandoori masala. Grated onions will make the mixture too watery.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Thank you for the information on the onions.
I’ve been following you for so long and didn’t know that spice?! 🤦🏻♀️

Wrap in a brown bag and store it in refrigerator not in your freezer. Thanks for leaving a comment.
@@CurriesWithBumbi thank you 😘😘😘
Hi there. I would like to cook the cabbage onion pakora a few hours before I serve them. How is it best to store them? Should I heat them up again when serving? Many thanks!
You can again briefly deep fry them just for a few seconds before serving or you can keep it at the lowest setting of the oven to keep it warm.
@@CurriesWithBumbi Thank you!
Pakoras and bhagis were why I bought a deep fat fryer... The chips were always a side issue.🙏🕉️
