@@griselgriselda2901 yes there was the driver the cammer of the vehicle who lays on the horn shouldn’t have if he were to swerve right before he would not have got in acciden
Driver's reaction - gone. Drivers airbag weren't needed, in most semi modern cars there's a little computer that controls the airbags with sensors, it all depends on where which persom is sitting and many other factors. You can clearly see that the passenger during the crash went more forward towards the dash than the driver. It's all sensors that are certified, this system was made to obviously save money for the owners of the car as replacing the airbags unfortunately costs a lot of money
Honking your horn is just a good way to shatter your wrist, smart enough to take it off before impact but many people learn the hard way. Some reason his airbag also didn't go off, but if it does and your hand on the bag, it doesn't just break, it shatters bones. Do like how he dodged the the driver's side door, accident was going to happen, just removed the possible impact to driver.
For everyone complaining about the reaction time: The whole thing unfolded and ended in just *2 seconds* for the driver. He was clearly not anticipating that other car would drive right into his path after stopping.

@@jns7278 Well yes, along with the fact that the other driver pulled out in front of a car. YEAH, WHEN I GET READY TO PULL OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY I WAIT UNTIL THE CAR COMING IS 50 FEET AWAY THEN I PULL OUT IN FRONT OF THEM. Sure, I had someone I knew die in a motorcycle accident. I too wouldn't mind taking a go at it, and I also know just how dangerous it is. My dad used to have one, and layed it down multiple times, so he was tired of nearly losing his life each time. With the right gear, you can prevent so much more. Keep in mind, these guys are fairly good compared to many others who stare at their phone while they drive. Had someone today sit at a green light for 3 seconds not going for that reason. Just checked the video again, driver was VERY good about keeping eyes on the road, glancing off maybe once. He was paying attention as the car pulled out, therefore not actually losing 1 second of reaction time. I understand how it can be as a motorcyclist, but these guys aren't at fault.
I could react in 1/10 of his reaction and stop before the crossing. He is a really bad driver and danger on the road if he doesnt know where the break pedal is
Best reaction ever after the accident, looking one another without saying anything they said to one another "You alright? yes I am, what about you? I am good too, let us check how bad this is, alright"
So here’s the thing, modern airbags take a lot into consideration besides just the car getting hit. Could have been that the passenger side hit a harder part of the other car, ie the suspension or the frame rather than a door. The passenger is also usually less likely to brace for a crash because they aren’t the driver. In this case the driver’s head didn’t seem to hit anything, so it was good that the airbag didn’t deploy. Debatable if the passenger even needed it.
Yes and I would assume, that the car might also monitor the steering movement as well as driving speed and intensity of the crash. In this szenario, the driver was actively moving the steering weel and working on preventing the crash. The car might have analysed that steering angle together with speed and impact intensity to decide that the drivers air bags no need to deploy in order to avoid any harm caused by the airbag itself.
There was about 2 seconds to brake from when the other car inched forward. If you cant react fast enough to brake for that, then you're bound to get into crashes like he did
Driving is dangerous, and you must be very serious about it. This guy clearly don't know what he is doing. Put 2 hands on the wheel and avoid the crash! This horning was ridiculous.

because of his horrible reaction times and piss poor defensive driving techniques was only a matter of time. If only that horn had worked and made the other car get out the way
John Fidge That’s what I had thought at first but if you play it on 0.25, you can see he does brake rather quickly (as noted by the box flying forward) but his mistake was initially trying to steer in front of the other car, then correcting later to steer behind it. But I can’t really fault him for that it’s more institutional.
As a driving instructor I can tell that the young guy did brake late and not enough. He used the steering wheel instead of brake, it is a classic beginner mistake.

I think what he means is look int he middle mirror before breaking because if ur going fast and cars are close to you ,you should not use emergency brake, but instead honk first and wring to a safer direction.
Coming in a bit too fast in a residential area and not being aware of your surroundings is dangerous. At 00:08 you can clearly see the white car pulling out the driveway from the drivers position, at that moment your instinct should be to automatically slow down and get ready to bring your car to a full stop and not just maintain your current speed while assuming that the other driver will mark the stop. He only started breaking at 00:10 (and honking which is pointless and maybe caused the accident since the other driver's automatic reflex is to stop immediately, instead he would maybe kept going) but it's a bit too late since the car is already in the middle of the way... Forget about priorities at dangerous intersections and while driving at night. Always assume the worst. Now I'm not saying that it's the young driver's fault, but this could have easily been avoided and probably shows a lack of experience.
That's not too fast for a residential area. I used gopros as dashcams for years. The wide angle lens makes everything look faster and wider. Unlike my ass, which just gets fatter and wider.
@@pinkiepie1656 There's a whole video of a certain crash that says otherwise. I think you might have missed it. In general if you can't brake early enough in such situation it means you're either going faster than the urban speed limit, car needs servicing or are simply not fit to drive since you're not in control of your vehicle. The car pulling out the driveway is as big as a small elephant. And if that's an intersection then it's even worse since Everyone should slow down a bit when they're approaching an intersection. He was going way too fast and he did NOT have the priority there, that is not the main road so the one coming from the right has the priority on that junction. You have no fucking clue about driving man.

Where’s the drivers side airbag? And where is the drivers reaction time
this comment go so well with your profile picture :)))))
If you look closer u can see that he had great reaction but the other person was just dumb

I love how they both look at each other to make sure they’re okay and not ya know… it’s sweet
The driver checked with his mate to see if his shades still looked cool, and mate gave him the _ok_ with only a glance.
Lmao stupid idiot 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
For everyone complaining about the reaction time: The whole thing unfolded and ended in just *2 seconds* for the driver.
He was clearly not anticipating that other car would drive right into his path after stopping.
exactly, its horrible people are trying to blame him for an accident that wasn't even remotely his fault
@@givmetehsucc exactly, it seems they have never been in a crash in their lives. A crash happens so fast you literally have almost no time to react. If everyone had time to react no crashes would happen.
@@user-me7pn6kl2z he had pretty much time to react, but you can't instantly stop a car. According to different sources including NHTSA, stopping distance from 35 mph is 120-140 feet. And we can clearly see at 0:09 - there were no chance.
Hahahaha defending this slowpoke is hilarious, no it's obviously not his fault but his reaction time is pathetic because he should have anticipated the worst. Never let your guard down driving.

And then they had a beautiful sex behind the camera.

The driver can hold the wheel, which makes him more safer in a car crash, what can the passanger hold? The windshield? 😂
Imagine the passanger having their feet up on the dashboard in this situation.
A passenger airbag will never deploy without the drivers'. This is clearly a malfunction.

Are we gonna ignore the question why he has a go pro mounted in the back of his car?
So if it was in the front it wouldn't break if theres a crash or it can be a hassle because it somewhat blocks a point of view in places.
because of his horrible reaction times and piss poor defensive driving techniques was only a matter of time. If only that horn had worked and made the other car get out the way
John Fidge not false...
Dashcam blocks the driver’s view and will cause a crash. 😂

Why did they have a christer badge in the middle of the car and on the driver sid airbag its a honda ? Confuses me
As a driving instructor I can tell that the young guy did brake late and not enough.

That's just common sense.
