Retro Fox for the win. Lol The Calypso rollin down the highway looked so damn good with the way the dusk sun was hitting it. I’m proud to have been along for the journey of this build. This thing went from an old half drag car to something really special! And all mostly on a budget. You definitely have to do the live video! Thank you for your condolence with the flag on 9/11.
It's weird how back in the day the Calypso color wasn't that popular of a color. I always liked it myself. Also the Notchbacks (my fav even though I like them all) are way more popular now than they ever were in the early days of what was called the foxbody movement! Ahh those were the days!!!!

Really enjoy the videos! I have a 92 gt auto 63000 miles have ported explorer intake and 170 tf heads to install, may keep stock Cam and use 1.7 rockers. Considered tf stage 1 Cam but don't want to change gearing or torque converter.
I think the live car show would be cool. I love the sound of the Coyote. I thought about using the black carpet that they sell at the auto parts store for my 94 Capri XR 2 removable hard top as a headliner
You'll be surprised once you do the gear swap on Andrew's car. 4:10's with a throttle body, high flow filter, and that race will be Alot closer from a dead dig. He may even squeeze a win. Yeah that gear swap will make a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!! Also a shift kit will round it out nicely!! Doesn't have to be crazy. Just firm up those overly SOFT AOD SHIFTS!

I had an 87 gt with a 5 spd....it was definitely a factory beast, I've been around several 5.0 auto and manny, but this one was just outrageous. We nick named it chubacca , cause when it got down it was like chewy howling....the thing was a freak...I dunno if the previous owner cammed it but it appeared to be stock other than a 140 mph speedometer. ....needless to say , I really miss that car...aod's are caca, I gotta 92 gt aod car rotting away in the backyard come get it $1500..... it runs too...it's black with a blue belt and grey leather. Needs to be restored though....

Bullshit!!!! A stick fox will pull and walk away from a stock aod all day every day in every gear at any speed. How do I know? Been building foxes since the late 90s and have owned multiple and still do. Iv taken many aod cars and converted them to 5 speed cars its litterly night and day different especially with a nice clutch a rear gears. Every swap I did the car was drastically faster off the line and in every gear. Nobody likes a bullshiter.
prolinews only thing I didn’t like with 410s was locking me out of 4th gear. I went with a c4 after I had my 347 built. Really only need 3 gears for the quarter anyways.

I'd much rather have a manual over it automatic but I have no choice but to drive an automatic now. My 2017 2.4 CRV AWD CVT tranny blows my mind. I've never really got on it to the redline but it feels like one of the fastest cars I've had. I believe it's 195hp but that CVT clibs Hills like a diesel and power is on tap at any speed. It has a nice V6/non sport carV8 type feel. After having a Camaro and a Mustang it blows me away that little 2.4 L can push that heavy CRV like it's nothing.
@@scottharvey3054 depends if its aod or t5. 410s arent that bad on em and the long geared auto needs 410 and a stall to get off the line...373 work fine with a 5 speed but 4.10 even better lol.

Check the gear in 5 minutes, put piece of tape 12 o clock on the tire, and a chalk mark on the driveshaft, jack that tire off ground, rotate tire 1 time around and count that shaft mark, mine went around Almost 4 times so I assume it's the 373

That 77 glue is thebest. 90 is alright but if you aren’t careful it will bleed through your fabric.
