    This video gives the best account of that game I've ever seen. Highlights need to be pivotal moments, not the goals.

    the new years eve game at these juniors and the gold medal game were two of the best games between Canada and the US. As a Canadian you wish this result was different, but what are you gonna do. Good win by the US and a great game played by both teams

    The hate on this thread is pathetic. Can't you people just realize that 2 great teams played an amazing game? Canada vs the US is almost always great hockey for the last 20 years. This game had everything. It wasn't decided by the refs but by the players on the ice. Stepan, Carlson and Kreider were great along with Kadri, Hall and of course Eberle for Canada. I wish these 2 teams could have played best of 7.

    Good Game USA, both countries had another classic.
    I think we did great coming back from 2 goals down twice, and all the times we have been in the Finals, winning 5 straight, and winning the Olympics all these past years in Hockey Men's and Women's, World Cup of Hockey, and The World Hockey Championships 5 out of the last 7 years, I am proud to be Canadian, USA dominates in Swimming, Basketball, Football, and Baseball, well not the World Baseball Classic, we are proud to be Canadian!

    @SpencerBetzvog We don't check in Hockey who the better team is, we check by history.
    Canada won the 72 Summit Series, Women's won 3 Straight Olympic Gold, Canada being in the World Junior Finals every year since 2002, Men's Olympic Champions 2 out of the past 3 Olympics, 5 out of the last 7 World Championships have had Canada in the Finals, and the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, we are really good.

    The USA is ranked first above ALL countries in Speed Skating, Figure Skating, Snowboarding, Freestyle Skiing, Skeleton, Diving, Wrestling, Boxing, Shooting, Artistic Gymnastics, Rowing, Tennis, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Softball, and let’s face it. They’d be ranked number 1 in baseball if the MLB took a break for the Olympics like the NHL is or wasn’t in season like the NBA is. All of the sports I listed above were all sports with about 100 medals of less than the number 2 country.

    @SpencerBetzvog Maybe cause Sports are covered more in USA than Canada, and most Americans say their win is bigger, I would guess a lot of Canadians think our Victory is bigger, but ask the entire World, I would guess more people think winning an 8 game series is better than one win!

    Because players were allowed to be 2 years older. And with Schenn and Khadri being more ready and better at that time and Cormier being the captain there wasn't much room left for Seguin who obviously is the best right now.

    I personally think that if we hadn't had the break to go into over time, we definitely would have won. The intermission gave the US a break, and our momentum died. The Americans were unreal though. The speed they had, we just too nuts. I also think our goaltending was a bit off that night.

    The true rankings are the Olympics? I don't think so. The Olympics only happen every four years. All of the other tournaments happen every year. The IIHF ranks based on the performance of multiple competitions. "The 2012 IIHF World Ranking is thus based on the performance at the 2012, 2011, 2010, and the 2009 IIHF World Championship and at the 2010 Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament in Vancouver."

    I'm half-Canadian (and proud). Most Canadians aren't even half as ignorant as Stamkos60. Canada sucks at artistic gymnastics, but give them credit, they're good at trampoline. You know the sport that really nobody watched and takes basically no talent and that even a 5 year old could accomplish.

  • @carriewhitmore
    @carriewhitmore 11 лет назад

    Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Currently living in central Pennsylvania. I never said Canada wasn't the best. But you're accusing other teams of sucking, which is untrue. I proved you wrong on the USA and Finland. Russia actually has the most gold at the WC. Most medals, Canada. Most gold, Russia. And yes Russia and the Soviet Union are the same thing. Almost all Soviet hockey players were from Russia.

    @SpencerBetzvog Hey Buddy, you won a Playoff Game, we beat them in 1972 in an 8 game series, known as the Summit Series, a lot of people, including Americans, say Miracle On Ice is the biggest, what about the Giants over the Patriots? There are so many upsets, Ducks making it to the Finals in 2003?
    I think we had a big upset over Russia we beat them in 8 games you beat them in one game.

    no idea how that was a goalie interference call, but typically the refs help Canada (i.e. the ref's kick to Crosby in the gold medal game when the puck would have left the offensive zone) but as usual the US prevail, much like they will in the 2014 Olympics.
    In other news, where is tyler seguin and James Van Ryemsdyk?

  • @zonkedforlife2
    @zonkedforlife2 13 лет назад

    Did anyone see that OT? Why does the NHL hate 4on4? IT IS SO EXCITING!!! The NHL really needs to make it 4on4 all the time and get rid of off setting minors so it can go to 3on3 easily. Think of it being in Overtime of game 7 playoff game with 3on3, THAT WOULD BE SOOOO EXCITING. Like if you agree.

    @SpencerBetzvog So maybe most Hockey people say your victory was bigger, but you don't decide who a better team is based on the "biggest upset ever"
    I will say then, maybe your upset was bigger, you beat us this time at our game, but if you are not that cocky you would admit Canada is overall a better team.
