      I sure wish we'd get some politicians with enough courage to fund in patient psychiatric hospitals. So, so many people with severe mental health issues trying to make it in a compassionless world out there. They're mocked and despised for their behavior and hygiene, but they're truly incapable of properly caring for themselves, let alone functioning in society. The pursuit of the almighty dollar takes precedence over them. It's just sad.

      Most homeless people get violent, and that is the government’s fault.

    • @georgeplagianos6487
      @georgeplagianos6487 9 часов назад

      @@SYDAirlineEnthusiastwell a lot of cases most homeless could get violent when the longer they stay out on the street something snaps in them. That's why this older lady and the younger folks need to be helped before they're too far gone. That's the problem with the service organizations they wait till it's almost too late to help people. Then they snap a lot of black men are going through this abandonment by the government along with their families and their religious institution s as support. Yep I like cases they mess up with drugs because pretty much grew up in a very tough family environment was a lot of situations which becomes hopeless.. a lot of these men are in here in NYC. Now we got the migrant issues with 200,000 people in New York City.. this is obviously going to take a lot of services away from the people who've been on the streets much longer. Justice where's the justice for these folks on the street? I do understand why they get violent you have to help them before it's too far gone.. an ounce of prevention is worth more a pound of cure?? Problem here is there isn't a pound of cure. It's probably less than a ounce after the money is being squalor for so many reasons in this corrupt city.. remember

    After a hurricane that came after I became disabled, followed by a divorce, I too fell hard and became homeless. No matter what you believe, it's truly harder than you can imagine. It's really bad, but the worse parts were how I was treated by others. I had one guy point a gun at me and yell, "Get a job you blank, bum". I had my tires cut twice overnight. I had someone pull their truck right up to my door, and lean on the horn for about ten straight minutes around 3am. I cried a lot, and thought how I'd get a job if I could. I've found an apartment now for the past three years, but I'm still depressed and haunted by how others treated me, and I know, some are going through what I endured right now. It changed me, and my view of society. You better hope you don;t fall one day without any help, or you'll find out yourself, it's a sorta Hell. I'm glad she is progressing, but I can also tell she's still on the verge of repeating it. She needs to find a real place to live, even if it seems scary because it's public housing. It is, but it's also where some good people live too. Just get rental insurance in case you're robbed, which hasn't happened to me yet, but I can tell others watch when I'm leaving or bring in anything, so I spin around after a few minutes once in awhile just to throw them off.

    Not for nothing….this lady is quite the exception for being a homeless person….she doesn’t look crazy or strung out….just a down and out type of situation happened….so glad to see she stayed a responsible cat owner…..😊❤

      Yea, most are homeless by choice. They’d rather buy drugs than pay rent!!

      She's not the exception. People like you are just too judgmental to see that the people who are homeless don't "look" it to you.

    So glad she has a place to live and a job. And that she kept her cat.❤ BUT someone should mentor her...provide financial advice. If she received 10k she should have put a big chunk in a savings account and gotten her own apartment lease for a small place to start. Long term hotels are super expensive. She has no security in that...they can raise prices at any time. How can she save for a house while paying for a hotel? She needs to be educated on how to navigate her delicate situation. I hope she didn't spend it all to pay off her debt. she could have made payment arrangements instead... paying the debt off slowly until she is really secure and keeping the majority of the go fund me cash in savings . I am speaking from experience. This is still a precarious time for her and she needs a plan and she needs to maintain a large amount in savings to avoid being back in that situation.

    • @LP-ct9nk
      @LP-ct9nk 17 дней назад +1

      Apartment leases are minimum $600+ if you are living by yourself and in sort of an okay area. Not much cheaper if you decide to live in a sketchier part of town with roommates. The $10,000 would be gone in less than a year if she was using it on rent. She needs to apply for a public housing situation
