    Allegedly killed?
Ask her family if she's "allegedly" dead.

That’s what sucks about all of this. The news has very broad rights under the First Amendment, but saying the cop killed the victim could open them up to a defamation/libel lawsuit since it wasn’t officially declared by a court.
Let this serve as an example at how “The Ministry of Truth” manifests itself in American society, even when we have the First Amendment to fight against such suppressions of truth.

He was granted immunity via the State so it's likely the federal level will follow with that, there was no justified reason for him to run that stop sign and the fact he didn't see her means he wasn't paying attention to the road.

They might go over that at trial, but right now, we're at the procedural posture of simply figuring out which court to go to, and people have lost their GD minds over a normal court process. It makes me wonder if we should just make a law saying. If you don't have at least more than a bachelor's degree, then you can't see any court proceedings other than the main one. People forget not being educated comes with a cost.

It has always been a corporation chartered in 1791 to manage foreign trade and protect individuals' property. What's more is the fact that the District of Columbia usurped the constitution that bound them when the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES was counterfeited in its place. The Bill of Rights attached to the original was also usurped in place of amendments that look and sound the same but have different definitions and interpretations of language. When one claims an amendment, one claims a privilege , not a right. For some reason, i can't seem to get this "verifiable " information into the thick indoctrinated minds of the masses.

The UK provides a compelling example of how law enforcement can effectively function without a doctrine like qualified immunity. In the UK, police and other public officials are fully accountable under both civil and criminal law for their actions. This includes the possibility of private prosecutions, where individuals can initiate criminal proceedings, a mechanism not available in the U.S. This system promotes accountability and public trust, demonstrating that law enforcement officials can indeed perform their duties effectively without the need for broad legal protections such as qualified immunity. The absence of such immunity does not impede their ability to do their jobs but rather ensures that their powers are exercised responsibly.

I agree its terrible and wish it never happened but this is a tricky case. not as clearcut simple as some make it out to be. Are cops allowed to speed and not stop at stop signs if they are chasing a suspect? then does an undercover fed working get basically the same rights a local or state cop would get from state? i think they do. lets say the Potus gets shot and secret service speeds off and blows off stop signs and kills a pedestrian en route to hospital. what happens in this case? i think unfortunately not much. terrible accident. BTW I cant stand FEDS and no longer trust them but thats a different argument. his boss needs to find out if he was really working and fell behind and why he fell behind and if he was unnecessarily negligent. If he was he should be punished by his boss.

Some qualified immunity is a must. Every society has those. The only question is when does it end/start. I'd imagine we would fail as a society, if we cancel QI just because a law enforcement officer ran a stop sign
without immunity, every cop would quit, or at least just stop enforcing the law, because he would be putting his life at risk just by carrying out duties. Cops would get sued 24/7 and they would be attending court hearings from every arrested individual, rather than doing their job

I'm a police officer of 23 years for a large police department and this is outrageous that the DEA is pulling this garbage. There were no exigent circumstances while doing surveillance that warrants him driving a normal vehicle in a careless and reckless manner. He needs to be tried in state court and justice served. What he was trying to do is just catch up to his buddies who were following him so he could be in on the fun. He was a cowboy who got too big for his britches thinking he was "the law" and rules don't apply to him. I've seen this mindset many times during my career.

"There was no emergency, and there was no hot pursuit"... that is irrelevant. As an emergency responder, Police, Fire, Medical, etc., you still have a duty and responsibility to not harm others in the performance of you job. This includes running red lights. You may only proceed with extreme caution as to not endanger others. This guy was100% guilty!
