- Her neighbor put up a trellis to block her windows. He said he owned the land. She said it’s her property, and the neighbor dispute got worse, so she turned to Help Me Howard with Patrick Fraser.
AT THIS POINT....the cop's behavior is clearly HARASSMENT. HE SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR FLAGRANTLY BREAKING THE LAW.
Harassment and potential abuse of power
Should not only sue the city and the cop but also the department because he is an officer and is harassing her. Then file a complaint at the police station.

I'd contribute to a fund for her to build a sturdy fence at her property boundary, and install streaming cams. "Sturdy" would involve a high cement wall with rebar and security cams. She could get a permit if needed.
Evil me thinks she could paint his side with prison bars, Disney princesses or Warner Bros., while reasonable me shouts "Don't do it." No malicious acts on her part, to prevent any possible lawsuit, just paint his side to look like a boring, neutral stucco or something. Her side could be anything - a beautiful mural melding the view into a realistic beach, park, forest or something calming and lovely. Endless, rolling, grassy fields of life would do nicely. Yep. I'd help to fund it.

If this is how he treats a neighbor, intimidation threats and ignoring the law, how is he treating suspects and innocent people?
How did he have a survey showing different property ownership? Did he forge it? Did a clerk forge it? That's a crime. I'm unaware of ANY resdiential property that owns everything right up to a neighbor's wall. Fraud, corruption, harrassment, endangerment, abuse of power, trespassing and damage of private property.
There are easements where I’m at where a neighbors house is built on part of the next neighbors property. Usually in rural community areas, not suburban planned communities like the houses shown here.
I am sure the foficer showing up at the buildings dept. and saying he is a cop and flashing his badge helped.

zero lot line properties are built exactly on the edge of their property lines. Those houses don't have windows on that side of the house because their exterior wall is literally a fence for the property it abuts.
Someone bought the property adjoining mine and had it surveyed. He claimed that part of my property was his, as well as part of another neighbor's property. In the ensuing legal engagement, we learned that it's a common thing for different surveyors to come up with different boundary lines.

@@trollhunter8148 Reality here, based on her property survey, she owns the land. The city confirmed that. He infringed on her and charges should be laid for for making false documents of a survey. You don’t nail something on the neighbours house either without their permission. He is trespassing. Also you don’t use your position in the police force to intimidate people. So many ways to see who is wrong here. People have rights to protect themselves.
The sad thing is the city should have figured this out for themselves. There can’t be two surveys, one right, one false. They should not have sided with a neighbour, without checking further and issuing a permit to a perpetrator. She informed them and it took going to a third party to resolve this issue.

It could happen because of a car accident or illness, my youngest resident in a nursing facility was 4 months old (she was on the pediatric hall) , she was never going to be able to go home because she needed 24 hr. nursing care. News media should've done a FOI request at the officers hq. Tell a supervisor about the story and ask if they'd had any complaints against him.

A cop threatening to contact the police, who he has connection in, to press charges against her, for trying to remove a severe safety hazard illegally placed on HER property, is a conflict of interest, a misuse of power and in and of itself should have gotten him fired.

Sometimes if you have a house with a zero lot line, one or two sides of your house will not have windows. Many subdivisions are like that.
@@ES-7766 Fire code has to have a second exit - normally a window. I have seen places for sale with 2 bedrooms, and then 2 "bedroom like" rooms. The "bedroom-like" rooms did not have windows, so legally could not be called bedrooms, and legally should not be used as such - as it is a fire hazard. This is an assisted living facility - he put all of their lives in danger. Had a civilian done this - they would have been in jail.

This is more common than what you’d think. Our firefighter neighbor fenced out some of our acres and kicked away the survey markers. We had to call the police, get the surveyors back, put a new fence, remove his fence. He stopped talking to us and wanted us to just give away our property. What a nightmare. Some of them are not heroes!

This is awful. He's using the fact that he's a police officer to bully this woman into submission. I'm glad she's fighting back. I hope that she sues him and wins. He's a disgrace to the badge and he should be fired immediately...without benefits!

Thank you for helping this poor woman. People are so evil. Obstructing an exit in case of a fire for elderly people. If that officer has a wife he probably abuses her. I feel sorry for that woman too.

We had a cop that lived in our neighborhood. He was an alcoholic and one day he was scraping ice off the end of his driveway and threw it up on my windshield when I was driving by. I went straight to our local police. They wouldn’t do anything to him. I found out what town he worked for and went to his boss and he said, we could fire him but he would just sue us and win and would go onto another town and be a police officer there. Ugh
wow perhaps the police officer needs to have a mental health check ... his job is obviously a stressful one and perhaps he has simply cracked and needs help...
