This was a parody of a classic train song called Wreck of the Old 97 originally done by a comedy group called the Geezinslaw Brothers way way back in the day. My daddy taught it to me when I was a little bitty kid 45 years ago.
I was searching the web, and found grandfathers clock. What a treasure I’d found, been listening to anything with Leroy. What a wonder, I have discovered.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the sleaziest part of Nashville, an ambulance chasing lawyer is thinking, "Gee, I wonder where that kid lives, and he goes to sleep at night dreaming of suing a bicycle company.....
the version i grew up with was "he was going down the road doin 90 mile and hour when the chain on his bicycle broke, well they found him in the grass with a sprocket up his a$$ and the handle bars run down his throat." lol
I road a bike till I was 18 banana seat & gooseneck handlebars blue geans caught in chain jerked me to the ground got up skint up and & rolled up my pants kept on going 65yr ago 71now
When I was a kid we rode bikes a lot. It was before multi speeds were popular. Had many a banana seat and sissy bar. We wore bell bottoms and so our pants were constantly getting ragged and caught in the chain causing a wreck.
My sister wrecked her bike one time, she was riding barefoot (like the foot behind Leroy!) and her foot slipped into the spokes of the front tire, almost cut her big toe off.
My grandpa told me he used to sing this with his uncle way back when. I didn’t know it was an actual song. This is great

Just love it and my favorite song is your song Ghost Chickens in the Sky I cracked up every time I hear it
Yup - thats a good one!
I love Leroy. He's very funny and a good entertainer.
I love this man
I've got many scars from bicycle accidents as a kid. I've graduated to motorcycles now, but thankfully no wrecks
God sakes be careful , people just don't see motorcycles. I had two collisions with cars before i hung the keys up.
Reminds me of the wrecks we used to have when we were kids. Getting scratched up, cut up and bloody. Those were good times.
Thinking back on all i did as a kid gives me cold chills but you're right good times.
I love it
Leroy Troy a True Artist!!
A song from my childhood in Australia.
It's a little different than the one my mom and grandma used to sing but I honestly can't believe I found it at all.
Ghost chickens in the sky was my favorite.
Love it

Bicycles are dangerous, and should be federally regulated. Or banned, together with wheelbarrows.
