There is a song written maybe 4 or 5 yrs ago called "God Loves Bluegrass Music" It is played and sang on a youtube channel called "Ocoee Parking Lot Bluegrass Jam." Great jams, A guy named Doug is always doing this jam and he does his song.
If you do not see why a Jazz musician would be in awe of this. Well I have heard that we have a common love of playing a tune and then SOLOING on it it in our personal way.based on the heart and soul of the musician and his life-world. I love Blue Grass. Yet my life has led me to express myself in Jazz. May we seek commonality and not division. This is the name of the Spirit that speaks to both of us. God Bless.

Traveling back in time ... again. Been a very long time since I really sat and got into Blluegrass music ... a very long time. Definition of bluegrass: a kind of country music influenced by jazz and blues and characterized by virtuosic playing of banjos and guitars and high-pitched, close-harmony vocals. You know a lot of folks do not realize how much of our music came out of the Southern mixes of cultures. After all the East and South were populated before the rest of the U.S. Interesting and I am going to research that to see where that leads.

Well, there it is. I must have known some budding artists when I was in high school. I was part of the artistic crowd, kind of nerdy, but not too much so and pseudo intellectuals.
