- #vanlife #scotland #microcamper #campervanadventures So after leaving our last offgrid night parkup at Southend, Kintyre. We drove back north to catch the ferry across to Arran.
As we live in North Cumbria, we have used Arran as a hop back to the mainland on several occasions, avoiding the drive through Glasgow and long haul back down the M74.
It was a sad day when we finally caught our last ferry and after a totally mind blowing journey of over 2,000 miles, we were heading back home.

Thank you. Blue's condition is controlled by medication, including diazepam to help him sleep at night.🐕

Our Blue will be 12 this year and has dementia. Bless him. He's such a sweetheart and still has his naughty moments. He owns us, rather than the other way around.
I bought Bernie his walking stick for christmas 2022 after his knee replacement. It was made in Laviv, Ukraine. It's amazing that even during the horrible conflict, there are still people trying to continue to work. Enjoy your wee doggie, we're sure he'll bring you so much joy...eventually 😁🐕🚙

Your back up stove and gas etc. We use the same size and type gas bottle as main gas supply on our campervan. Also I refill them myself. Cheers from old George 😊

Yeah I bet it is, must be upsetting for you both and frightening for wee BLUE, I worked in the kitchens in an nursing home for 30yrs, so sad seeing the residents declining bcos of this awful illness, hope you are coping ok 💐
Yes, Bernie lost his mum last July with vascular dementia. Horrible desease. The staff at her home treated her as family and a lot went to the funeral. Amazing people in some care homes.

Aw poor wee soul, hope he keeps well I have never heard about a dog with dementia, but I know he’s got a good mum and dad looking after him 🐶👍🏻
Awh thanks. We do our best. Canine Dementia is very similar to human dementia. He stands in corners, dead still staring at the wall. Scratches at everything. Including the satellite box. Asks to go out, then seems to forgot why he's out there. It's hard sometimes 😔🐕🚙
What an enjoyable trip you have had thank you for showing us. The final pleasure in being away is getting back home ……looks like a busy week or 2 ahead getting on top of the gardening😂

It's the same here in N Ireland, fish supper = fish and chips.
Supper means with chips 😊.

Why does the gas always run out at the most annoying time. As you now know a fish supper is fish and chips. If you want the fish with breadcrumbs instead of batter, that's a special fish supper.

A great end of an amazing trip. I like campsites that charge fairly like that one, I never want to pay £35 a night for my car and just me. Bring on your next adventure...

Another very nice video, thank you. When did you make this trip? Did you book the ferry inadvance, or just turn up? What made you downsize from your big camper? We ran out of gas on day two of a four week trip to Spain. No replace,ents available in Spai or Portugal so we used hook up and our hotplate and spend ages looking for a camping gas stove (I have three at home!). All worked out OK though. I now carry a camping stove a small canisters.
It was 20 years old and costing too much for us. We couldn't afford a replacement of the same size but, we weren't ready to give up. 🤔🐕🚙
Don't believe anything you read about in the press Scotland has the most reliable, best and cheapest ferry services in the world.
We're with you on the Shetland inter Island ferries. Stunned when it cost only £11.40 to cross from mainland Shetland to Yell and onto Unst and back Amazing value! Even chased man down the deck, cause we thought he'd got it wrong!!😊🐕🚙
