Penny is one of my all time favs. I remember getting the og 4's Orlando way back when. Looove that model. I own 2 colorways of those today. Back then you've never heard of a point guard being that tall. Penny was one special b-ball player.
Is sad to see my favorite player when downhill after the injury in 98. I love Penny 1 and 2, the most comfortable shoe i ever wear.

In my opinion the Penny 1 Orlando are the best signature shoe ever!!. I have the Penny 2 varsity blue and they are very confortable and good looking. I had the 3's black royal but I had to returned because they were too narrow for me. The foamposite one were a revolutionary design shoe. I hope new signature videos.
Had Air Penny 1,2,3,4 when they released. Just went to the store and picked them up. The Air Penny 2 were my favorite.
This was an awesome trip down memory lane! More of these, please! And I'd say that Webber's Nike sig logo is among the best, imo.

So funny you made this video todays just last night my boy posted on FB a picture of his old Air Penny 2’s in the black colorway from the mid 90’s. I guess he went into his storage and found them. I’m surprised they’re even in one piece but surprisingly they look pretty good. I told him to clean them up and put them on the shelf. I wish Nike would retro the white and black pair of the Air Penny 2’s

I also had the black/royal penny 3’s. I wanted a pair of penny 4’s but, I couldn’t grab a pair. I wanted the black/royal/white cw. 🔥👍🏼👍🏼

This is a serious lesson of sneakers!!! Penny history is really great!!! He Was a big influence in models like the foamposites and the flightposite.. Still i will searching a pair of flightposites....for my sneaker collection..
Penny 1 one of the most beautiful shoes
That was my first Penny 1 (Chicago colorway) as well!!
I feel it's worth noting also the Air Zoom Flight 96's Penny wore these a lot and they also included an Olympic USA colourway among others, the Sole on that shoe was iconic with what my mates dubbed 'hotplate' circular traction patterns "Aw shiet, my boys heating up on those hotplates" they would say. Also one of my absolute favourite Penny shoes.
I feel the Copper colorway of the Vs deserves a mention too, given the Copper Penny 1c homage.
I remember the Nike Air Up, I absolutely loved them on and off court. Perfect for the kid who can’t decide between whether they want a white shoe or a black shoe!

Alright a couple of things if I woulda grew up in the 90's, Penny Hardaway would've been my favorite player! I remember having the Air Penny 2's back in 09 during my HS days in the Miami Heat color-way. And those Penny Half Cents were so damn tuff back in 2011!

Great video! Penny had a great line, great logo & ad campaign, still remember lil Penny from back then. Wish I hadn’t worn the Chicago 2005-6 Penny 1 into the ground after college. I’d be happy if those came back soon. Looking forward to the retro release this year.
Great content but u forgot the Air Zoom Flight 96 or Olympic Penny’s with the “6” on the back heel tab. He wore them 96’ Olympics. They came out in tandem with the Air Zoom Turf which Barry Sanders wore. Great breakdown overall but missing this shoe unless its the Mandela Effect lol.

i just ordered my first pair of the penny line. it is a pair of the penny 1s DS for only 100 bucks. i couldnt pass it up for that price. cant wait till it shows up.
I have both footwear catalogs that shows both air foamposite and foamposite pro, one mentions penny, and the other mentions pippen in the span of less than one year. And i also own both original Air penny 1 in black and white colorway, and the air penny 3 with black and blue on the traction pods. the quality is so amazing that the air max 2 on the heel are still intact but still needs a replacement. Fun fact, if you take apart the air penny 1 and 3, you'll find that the air max heel is covered in PU as a foundation but the midsole itself is phylon, or foam. And the zoom air is encapsulated from the bottom on the air penny 1, while the air penny 3 is encapsulated from the top like an air jordan 13.
Penny 2s are made that way as well. It’s super interesting how many parts there are to one shoe.

Penny had the most cohesive evolution of designs. Kyrie is probably next for Nike. Jordan always pushed forward with tech. Kobe was about finding the most natural foot design and cutting weight. LeBron designs were all over. KD shoes just aren’t as memorable. Hopefully Giannis will step up his designs.
