I always wanted all Penny’s sneakers! He’s been my favorite player since he came to the nba! I had finally bought a pair about a decade ago….. my son had his 2 best friends over playing basketball and one of the boys shoe came apart and I gave them to the boy who shoe broke!!!! The boys were like sons to me and I influenced all 3 boys with my love and appreciation of sneakers!
My first exclusive Nike sneaker as a lil kid was the OG white blue Penny 2. Got em on my birthday. My Dad got me those, and the Taxi JordAn 12’s! Still my most memorable birthday of all time!
I love Penny 2’s! I had the all white version (all-stars) when this first came out, back in 96. I would love for those to retro again. For now I’m enjoying my social status cobalt.
Football grey is indeed that blueish-purple color on the logo and accents. I recall a pair of football grey dunks that I could’ve sworn were a mix of light violet and unc blue. It’s an interesting color for sure.

I'm super happy with the Social Status Penny 2s in both colors and I got them on discount. Until the OG colorways come out, I'm good on new colorway Penny 2s.

@@Psalm23_Javie for real. Resellers back in the day had to put in footwork. They paid people to wait in lines and ran around to build stock. It wasn’t right then, but at least they worked. Now they don’t do shit. Bots steal from the public while they sit in their underwear and wait for their mom to bring them breakfast at 12pm.

This particular Penny 1 is really fiya with patent leather upper gives off Air Jordan retro 11 space jam vibes I absolutely love it,Penny gotta be the only player closest to MJ in talent if he hadn't gotten injured mite of surpassed MJ as the G.o.a.t people don't understand how cold Penny was he was gifted with every skillset none to man the perfect basketball player and that's no cap.
Took a L on drop day my size . To think I was ready to dropped $200 on them release day . Just ordered them on flight club in new never used condition for $100 🥳 there's more sizes on there for that price hop on it guys

Admittedly a random off topic note, but Saucony is gonna be jumping into the retro basketball shoes market to battle with the Dunks, 550s, etc by bringing back their old Sonic design in both low tops and high tops. They drop overseas tomorrow but no North American release date is known yet. Definitely one to keep an eye out for though.

I love Penny 2s but let's be for real. These are going to be outlet specials. GR Penny's always sat on shelves. Easy cop for me though. So I would not drop fucking $200 on these. Wait for them outlet special prices.
Had to return two of these already because of numerous defects(the air bubble wasnt even fully attached on one of them! smh) Wtf happened to Nike? Their quality control is trash.
