I was listening in car on the radio to this version of Beethoven concerto 3rd mvt, a fav of mine. As I arrive at my house, I had to wait in the car for the piece to be over and get the name of the violinist and orchestra. That's how much I like It.
JFC is this a masterpiece!!!!! She absolutely killed that violin with some serious passion......LOVE IT!!!! My favorite piece by BEETHOVEN. My word that violin sings, just WOW!!!!
I think Lisa's performance really has a master style, of course, including the contribution of the conductor and the orchestra. The level of music is exceptionally distinct, and the rhythm is vividly permeated throughout. Especially in the cadanza she played Austrian-born violinist Fritz Kreisler’s “cadanza” developed from Beethoven’s theme to the fullest, pushing the music to a climax step by step, and then trilling to the stretch part and introducing the orchestra. It was really wonderful.
What could be more joyous and beautiful than this? People united in making glorious music. Batiashvili’s performance is one for the ages. Truly incomparable and inimitable. And to think that she’s playing it with Zubin Mehta who in turn collaborated with Jascha Heifetz over a half century ago. I hope someday we’ll get to watch this entire performance from beginning to end. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!

Beautiful Rendition, so Natural and expressive, if Beethoven was still alive he would be in tears
