Hilary doesn't have off-days. Her interpretations are always so precise, so perfect, so clean and crisp. Whatever piece she plays, her version is the ideal version of that piece.
Scary to think that she would disagree with you, reassert she’s human and has as many off or bad days as anyone else, but we’ll never ever believe her!
as a first generation ugandan american fan i can say i love this music but my relatives only listen to african music so i cant watch this with them though it would be great social bonding music they are too biased towards europe because of racism for me this music is not about black or white its about spirituality and intrigue i played in the dc youth orchestra since 1994 and this music has never become boring it always keeps me from being bored and you can even enjoy by yourself very Christian based in its spirituality!!!!
As a Zambian, I second this. Yohh, my African people hate western music and all that comes with it. I'm a classical musician, I play violin and piano and the amount of times I've had to hide my music from them in fear of judgement is so much. Cuz it's always why are you listening to the colonizers music and whatnot. Like it's just music, it's meant to be shared.
I'm a violinists and I think it's a bit of both. The history of black people in classical music has been hidden and manipulated. African ppl in America were the entertainment and often played strings. The ivory and ebony fit pianos and rubber for other instrument production came from Africa. Africa also has and independent history of bowed strings and it's own "classical" music that gets ignored. We have to even out the musical landscape before we ask people who got their stuff stolen, erased and mocked to appreciate the culture of those who did it. If music is about sharing then all works have to be appropriately appreciated no matter where they come from.
What a ridiculous opinions. There is no fascistic or colonizing septime accord or right or left wing scale. Music has nothing to do with it. If your family doesn't like this kind of western civilization why did they come here in the first place? Nowadays you see so many asians adapting western culture ea....🤔
Classical music is often referred to as the universal language, and for good reason. Its emotive power transcends linguistic and cultural barriers, communicating directly with the human spirit. Whether you're in a concert hall in Vienna, a living room in Tokyo, or a cafe in New York, the language of classical music speaks to people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of unity and shared human experience.
A much underated concerto with some devilishly tricky moments which are superbly managed by Ms Hahn. An excellent interpretation and brilliant support from the Orchestra
She is the queen of the strings! Never stops! Always helping others and always sharing her gift with us. A wonderful lady. Easy to see why so many fall in love with her❤
Saw her perform it in Chicago two years ago and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. It was transcendent and I felt like a different person for a full week after.

Gorgeous music, gorgeous dress!! Hillary rivals, perhaps even eclipses, my other current favorite female musician, albeit not classical, Paulina Villareal (drummer of The Warning). Bravo!!

Oh I get it - the conductor, soloist and all the woodwinds and brass cannot possibly pass or contract covid but the strings and timpanist can. Ridiculous.
Ummm....yes. Since the strings are at least 2 metres away from the soloist as well as the conductor, it is safe. I'm assuming the winds and brass are not wearing masks as it would be impossible

As a professional cellist, I completely agree. I could listen to her play literally ANYTHING.
Clearly no sign of burnout!😂❤
Perfect for a snowy and home bound day..
Well, I can rather enjoy her playing, although I wouldn't call her renditions the "ideal version" of the piece in question. I have other favorites.
