her skirt is the colors of the kingdom of Bohemia!
Hilary doesn't have off-days. Her interpretations are always so precise, so perfect, so clean and crisp. Whatever piece she plays, her version is the ideal version of that piece.
As a professional cellist, I completely agree. I could listen to her play literally ANYTHING.
Clearly no sign of burnout!😂❤
Perfect for a snowy and home bound day..
Well, I can rather enjoy her playing, although I wouldn't call her renditions the "ideal version" of the piece in question. I have other favorites.
Scary to think that she would disagree with you, reassert she’s human and has as many off or bad days as anyone else, but we’ll never ever believe her!
as a first generation ugandan american fan i can say i love this music but my relatives only listen to african music so i cant watch this with them though it would be great social bonding music they are too biased towards europe because of racism for me this music is not about black or white its about spirituality and intrigue i played in the dc youth orchestra since 1994 and this music has never become boring it always keeps me from being bored and you can even enjoy by yourself very Christian based in its spirituality!!!!
As a Zambian, I second this. Yohh, my African people hate western music and all that comes with it. I'm a classical musician, I play violin and piano and the amount of times I've had to hide my music from them in fear of judgement is so much. Cuz it's always why are you listening to the colonizers music and whatnot. Like it's just music, it's meant to be shared.
Many pretenders, but only one genius,,,Hahn is at the apex, stands alone as the greatest violinist of this generation
hilary my queen 👑🙇♀️🙇♀️
HILARY IS PLAYING! SILENCE! ADMIRATION! INSPIRATION FOR SOUL AND HEART! SO BEAUTIFUL ARTISTRY! SO HUMAN RADIATION! THANK YOU SO MUCH HILARY!
You don't need to shout 😵💫
Classical music is often referred to as the universal language, and for good reason. Its emotive power transcends linguistic and cultural barriers, communicating directly with the human spirit. Whether you're in a concert hall in Vienna, a living room in Tokyo, or a cafe in New York, the language of classical music speaks to people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of unity and shared human experience.
And, of course, your observation applies equally to jazz, rock and indeed all styles of good music.
She is the queen of the strings! Never stops! Always helping others and always sharing her gift with us. A wonderful lady. Easy to see why so many fall in love with her❤

REAL OMG
If was possible god`s speech for all humanity it came along through great composers as Antonín Dvořák.
i was at this concert. this is one of my most cherished memories.
Saw her perform this in Boston about 6 years ago. Truly magical.
Saw her perform it in Chicago two years ago and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. It was transcendent and I felt like a different person for a full week after.
Thank you for making concerts like these so accessible to everyone, and in such great quality...
BRAVO!!!BRAVO!!!BRAVO!!!
Splendide!!
Hillary, you are sweet sensation and your choices for musical works are fantastic... I love you and I follow you from Damascus❤

The sound track is in monoaural mode. I think the original DSO video was in stereo mode and the level was about 20dB higher.
Yeah I’m not a sound engineer and I just downloaded it so I can’t help 🤷♂️
Gorgeous music, gorgeous dress!! Hillary rivals, perhaps even eclipses, my other current favorite female musician, albeit not classical, Paulina Villareal (drummer of The Warning). Bravo!!
Haha eclipse
I LOVE HER DRESS
26:45 I love the brief representation of the mendelssohn 2nd movement
no complaints pls!!! she's a STAR. forget the masks pls. God bless. DG
🎻🤩🔥
Sounds nice
Nice??
@@joetursi9573 Yes, I’m complimenting her violin skills; she’s really good at it.
I like the violin, too. But I dislike adverts literally in the middle of soft sections of the music...

Toca Hilary... Esta mardita❤
1:05 she doesn't do anything but her stage presence is mad.

I’d like to see the woodwind section wear masks too.
they cantt😭
I know it;s a farce ain’t; it?
and wearing a mask on stage just to take it off fully defining theater
Another marvelous Hahn performance; but what a joke those masks tuned out to be.
Her playing is great. Her dress is terrible.
Hilary only needs one thing - a new hairdo.
I do not like the sound of her Vuillaume at all. It is colorless.
its not her, its the video... its in monotone. Not original recording of sound. This video is paywalled now on main channel of the orchestra
Colorless my ass!
Maybe thats why it doesn't sound nice to my ears , thin and scratchy.
