Garret Carrot for the win 100% of the time if it just comes to simple reliable accurate finding. Also not a Nokta guy here but that Nokta is meant to work as a pinpointer with PI as a bonus feature to it's real purpose which goes unsaid here. It's main function is a stand alone PI diving detector.. The fact that it has a switchable head to do traditional pin pointing is just a bonus. Because of that all of the negative response it is getting from you is a bit unwarranted because it shouldn't compete with one trick pony "non detector" standard pinpointers. The reason the case is so big is because none of those other pinpointer cases would stand a chance under water at any depth not falling out constantly. In a sense this is like a 4x4 mud truck shootout comparison and bringing in an all wheel drive Lamborghini race car and bashing it for not handling the mud despite it still being all wheel drive. ;) Love the reviews and appreciate the time you invest and share with us all. Just wanted to point that out if you didn't know.
Thank you for your thoughts and honest opinion love it that your not sponsored makes you an extra valuable resource in the everlasting search for a really good one. This is probably the most frustrating issue about metal detecting for me I like the carrot 🥕 best so far I have had minelab TRX but they both broke on me reliably is king
There’s so little out there comparing different pinpointers all at once from experience so thanks for uploading this. Any chance you’d do a similar one for shovels and/or hand diggers?
I have a Nokta pointer (the vlf 11,6 kHz) wich works well. Gives a few false signals under one foot of water (on max. sensibility) and on salty wet sand, in "dry" conditions have responded well, from very mineralized to just biomass ground. Has been trough mud and lost in hot ground (very hot days) for a week and did not cook the electronics. Extremely sensible and progressive, detected a 0,4 gold nugett when I was checking the hole for anything else left after removing a old beer cup. I do like`t.
I've always had good experience with the Garrett Carrot, especially in hot soil that gives me a slow beep. Usually would have to quick push the button once to tune that out, then work closer towards the target.
I've been using my Pulsedive ever since it was released. I don't use my Garrett or my fisher f pulse. The Pulsedive is big cause it's meant to be a diving setup. You must be really weak if the buttons are hard to push. I've never got dirt in mine either...
F-Pulse is my first choice then the MI-4 but I carry both. Also have the pulse dive, Nokta carrot, and a bounty hunter pinpointer. Would like to combine the MI-4 and F-Pulse to produce an F- Pulse with pitch tones.
I’m having the same connectivity issue with my mi6… not often but every once in a while it’ll take 10-15 seconds to connect. I’m really hoping that they issue an update that will fix this issue for good. I also own the f-pulse which seems to be working good in the hot ground up north here. But you find a frequency so it doesn’t interfere with my orx. Then you change frequency with the orx and now it interferes with the f-pulse. Just a never ending headache! That’s why I’ve been putting up with the mi6. To bad whites isn’t still in business id love to give the trx a try
Your info on the F-pule is extremely valuable. The Mi6 performs very well, when it actually wants to work. Most of the time the Mi5 gives me problems I just switch to the TRX. The Mi6 paired to the Deus is so awesome. Thank you so much for the info. Happy hunting and good luck.
Fisher is the oldest company for metal detectors, sometimes that says a lot. I'd be curious to know if they make a decent pin pointer, their detectors are durable and reliable in my experience. Interesting dilemma.
The fisher f-pulse / Teknetics Tek-point are probably my favorite pointers yet. Amazing depth, super small and lite, run on two AA batteries which is cheap to run! I don't like anything rechargeable because if you forget to charge them you're dead in the field. They do have some negatives however. Being pulse induction, they can make a lot of noise on your detector when turned on. It doesn't happen for every machine but if it does for most. You'll have to get used to it or move your machine away from the pointer. Or find a frequency shift combo that works for you. I never found anything that made mine quiet, I just got used to the noise. That's the main down side. Like most pinpointers in wet or muddy soil maximum sensitivity will cause falsing unless you tune to the soil every time you turn it on OR reduce sensitivity. They have a hard time with old thin foil bits. They just vanish on you.......not a huge deal since you know it's a bit of foil and you can move on, it's just weird that it doesn't hit that foil. The button is also a gasket of sorts. Since it's firm rubber the seal will eventually break and he pointer won't be water proof or mud proof anymore. That's how mine eventually died. Still one of the best performing and longest lasting pointers I ever owned so far.
Absolutely agree about the Pulsedive holster, for me the pinpointer is great, but the holster is worthless! Everytime I grab for the pinpointer, I get the pinpointer AND the holster - note to Nokta, PUT A BELT LOOP ON IT!! It got ziptied to the shovel handle... As to the MI-6, I bought one, and promptly gave it to a new detectorist, I couldnt hear it unless I ran it without the endcap attached. That is a recipe for failure. I actually use the Garrett Carrot most of the time, it just works for me in my soil. Great videos, thank you for being non-biassed to a "sponsor".
I still have a old White's bullseye that still is working monthly, for 10+y now as a backup, unfortunately it's sister croaked the other week, but a good run.
I bought a no name pinpointer that hits a nickel at just under 3 inches. But if I slide a strip of metal from the back (like a spoon handle) up the side toward the sensor until it beeps, then move it back just until it stops, it then hits the nickel at over 4 inches. Something people might want to experiment with. I saw someone suggest this and it DOES work.
Appreciate you passing along your years of knowledge and experience with pinpointers. With the mi4 and mi6 do you find that the mi6 is deeper in general or just when paired with the Deus? And is the difference in depth substantial?
Both perform about the same as a stand alone. When the Deus is paired to the Mi6 is when the Mi6 can go deeper and the tones come from the Deus remote or headphones. The Mi6 and Mi4 speakers are very quiet and very hard to hear when in pinpointer pitch mode. When you have the Mi6 paired to the Deus the tones actually are louder because you have the audio coming from the larger Deus remote speaker. And when you have the Deus paired to the Mi6 you have many more functions and fine controls that the Mi6 does not have without being paired to the Deus. In a nutshell The Mi6 is a must buy if you have a Deus.
At least im not the only one with 2-3 pointers in my bag.. Tek-point is deepest but can start falsing on soil or emi, Garrett can get lost in the hole like a confused compass and my MI-4 is pretty weak but in the hole is accutate.. depends what im facing at that very moment determines what i pull out but i wish 1 would be durable/reliable/deep/quick on/off ..... until then - i bring 2/3
I have an old square CenTech that is still chuggin along. I had to replace the push button. A Whites square one lasted about 2 years way back. It just stayed on beep. I then went through about 5 GP pointers. Dropem and they seem to be done. I broke down and bought the least expensive Garret Carrot and have lived happily ever after. I don't even need what all it does. On and off is all I use.
The Garrett will detect from the tip too if you De-tune it by turning it off, touching it to the ground away from your target, then turn it back on. It will then be sensitive only from the tip to precisely locate your target.
That pulse dive was intended to be used with an attachable coil for scuba diving, it wasn't necessarily intended to be used as a pinpointer as the others on the market.
My Garrett carrot worked great for years untill I dropped it in the woods and lost it. Best deapth and durability is the Garrett. I thought the MI6 deapth is weak. Garret is best bang for buck!
Thanks for the video. You have so many pinpointers! Which one would you recommend as a starter to mainly search for small gold? The one I'm currently thinking of is Garret Pro AT.
Man I got to be honest with you, I would have loved to see the yellow and black pinpointer bounce off the wall and into the round file. Thank you and good night.
Have to say I find the Pulsedive fantastic, it's so sensitive and I don't find the buttons hard to press at all ?? Not sure about that they seem fine ?? Anyway someone said they need a belt loop, again not sure it does have a belt loop and it's big because it's for the Pulsedive and pulling different pinpointers through it was just daft. The only other thing is if it's faulsing a bit stick it in the ground as you turn on and it completely cures it, well it does in the UK ?? I've tried 3 others and they don't come close to the Pulsedive, and the last thing if you want to hear it on land use the other end not the diving end which is for under water, love the channel and the reviews but not sure this was the best or very fair.
@@mikekeller4131 Not sure, mine won't even pick up fine foil. It will go super deep on a coin though! Probably deeper than any pointer I ever owned. Suffers a bit in wet soil, like most machines but mine finally died after a few years. The button pad cut through the circuits on the circuit board. :/ Lasted me three seasons of hard use however.........longer than any other pointer. Oh it makes a lot of noise on some machines.........
I was just using my new Nokta accupoint live on tiktok and it fails in cold weather. It's 30 degrees and would not work just kept beeping. Turned off and on and continues just beeping. This had a full charge too. I grabbed my Garrett carrot and it worked perfectly.
I hated that damn pulsedive! Actually gave it away to a guy that bought one of my detectors. I really like my tek-point, it has amazing depth and simple to use, but sometimes interferes with the equinox. It has a bunch of channels so that may be an easy fix, but who has time for that nonsense! I do prefer the tek-point over the carrot, but I use both, at random.
I already ordered and love using your shovel, the Phoenix. Since watching so many of your videos, I wanted to try out a TRX Pinpointer. Sadly you can't order from them anymore as they closed up shop. Just curious what you intend to use in the future when all your White's crap out?
I have been using the XP Mi6 for 2 years and has been performing very well in my hot soil. I just gave Jim my last new in box TRX yesterday. The TRX's average about 1 year of use for me until they just fail to work properly. TRX's do go deep but not very durable. Most pinpointers just do not perform well in my hots soils. Some manufacturer needs to further develop the TRX....Garrett is not going to do anything with the patent.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Thanks for the response. I think I'm gonna hang on to my Carrot for now until I can either grab a TRX on eBay or someone develops it again in the future.
I work at a vet clinic as was wondering what pin pointer you would recommend to help pin point something small like an earring backer in the stomach or intestines of a dog? This would help our vet locate exactly where the foreign body is. Thanks in advance.
Earring backers are very small and can be deep under the skin. most pinpointers could struggle finding a target that small. The Simplex is a cheap detector for that, but the animal must be at least 3 feet away from any metal object for a large detector to work. Pinpointers are good on targets bigger than a pellet less than 3" deep.
Thank you, I figured instead of ask you a question lets see if you already answered it in a video and sure enough. Looking for a pinpointer to mate with the legend and I see you covered that too, ill probably take it swimming.
Used dozens of pin pointers, Garrett Carrots suck, sent 3 back from falsing or not even coming on, have a new one that died after the first use, don't like the iron sensing of the Minelab profind, I've found the OLD Garrett BLACK ProPointer II works well, simple one button no frills design. Had one last 13 years, I did wear the tip but just fill a small cup with super glue and baking soda and roll the tip in it, makes the tip as tough as iron.... And I carry two all the time. Mr. Paystreak Superfreak i need the best pin pointer for battery usage. I ended up buying a pinpointer off brand and not surprisingly it dies within 30 minutes of use with a brand new battery.
Sadly, I have the Nokta. Spent so much on it because I wanted the 200 foot ability to dive with it as a detector (with loop attached). The standard attachment was a great bonus..... BUT THEN I TESTED IT. Using my wife's 18 and 22 K gold , as well as silver, we did simple tests with both the loop and standard end on the thing. Even touching the gold it did NOT detect anything. The large 22k hoop ear rings it would detect with the standard end IF IT WAS TOUCHING. The loop did nothing. I had a very hard time with them to get service on it and after 10 months they finally let me send it to the USA repair people. At my cost. Come to find out the things were made wrong and the innards were not deep enough into the body to detect anything. They said they fixed it and then the next screw you moment happened. They asked whether I used it for diving or ground. I said both equally would be the idea but so far had never used it because tit was broken. They sent it back with the ground attachment and refused to even answer me about why they did not send back a replacement loop. (The attachments were apparently defective as well). The fact that they did not fix it or replace obviously faulty parts is just too much and says all I need to know about their products and service policies. It has been two years now and I still have a piece of crap, unusable. That end they replaced? Was black, not yellow and it does kinda pick up stuff if touching or a 1/4 inch from touching. but does NOT work right and they screwed around long enough to where I could not return it. I will never NEVER buy a Nokta product again. They cannot be trusted.
Nokta makes great VLF metal detectors but their pinpointers are garbage. The Pulsedive was the worst pinpointer I ever tested for ground use. The Accupoint was almost as bad. Pound for pound Nokta makes the best value for the dollar in metal detecting by far by far.
have you ever opened up an pin pointer to fix it your self? i have with the teknetics Tek pointer as i had to open it up and re solder the mini coil and also glue and tape the coil so it does not move and break again.
Good review on pinpointer hunting conditions. I’d like to see a more in-depth review from you. Features of them like distance and sensitivity. I have been using a TRX for quite a few years. Got a Garrett Carrot with a used detector purchase. On my first hunt the other day, I had to switch back to the TRX to find the object because the Carrot was going off all over the hole. Out of the field, I tested small a metal (pen tip sticking out) with the Carrot on Level 1 Sensitivity. I noticed there is no sensitivity on the end of it for that size of object, but it did detect it on the side. Is this normal?¿?¿ The end of the Carrot detects it at Sensitivity Level 2. If this is normal for these pinpointers, I’m not impressed. The only issue I have with the TRX is that it goes crazy with beeping sometimes, but I have never ground balanced it. Will start ground balancing it. It’s my go-to pinpointer and I find it easier to “pinpoint” than the Carrot. Will have to keep looking for a cheap used TRX (passed one up recently…ugh) and then sell the Carrot.
I have a Carrot and never use it because it just does not like my soil, falses and is not sensitive on the tip. The TRX is very sensitive and myst be tunes to the soil. I have been using the ZP Mo6 and it has been performing very well. The TRX eventually will have to be repaired because of falsinf and intability or speaker needs replacing.
I love the TRX performance but they were not that durable and the performance of the pinpointer declines greatly after about 1 year . I use them everyday. For the average detectorist they should last years. The tip detection is frikn awesome. Garrett owns the rights now, do not see them producing the TRX EVER!!
Show fast forward it looks like 3 years or so. With your experience and knowledge if you only were looking for one or two pinpointers what would they be the end of 2024?
Hey Paystreak, i'm in east Tennessee and I get a falsing with my Garret carrot in an empty hole all the time. Does the MI6 do OK in hot soils? Or perhaps I should ask, which pinpointer do you feel would perform best in that type of soil?
East Tenn. has nasty red clay very similar to the soil in my area. The reason why I do not use the Garrett carrot is because it falses really really bad when you stick it down a "hot hole". Most pinpointers will false, but the Garrett is the worst. The Mi6 does false in pulse tones the same as other pinpointers. However the pitch tones on the Mi6 gives a certain low humming for minerals and is a very evident tone. Target tones come out very well and at a decent depth with the Mi6. I use the Mi4 also. I do not pair my Mi6 to Deus anymore because I have had many many problems with the connectivity to Deus and Mi6. Jopefully this helps Gil.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Thanks Paystreak, that does help, i'm eyeing the MI6 from what i've seen, because i'm ready to throw the Carrot down a well next time i'm near one. Any hole deeper than 3 inches and it is near useless around here. Thanks again.
Im new to detecting and also in east Tennessee so this is helpful. I started with a Dr OTEK pointer, which has been somewhat adequate for a starter pointer. But lately this red clay in East Tennessee has been a real pain for falsing with the otek. Was considering a garrett carrot but im glad i didn’t waste time or money. I may give that MI6 a try!
Great vid, I've had the exact same experience with the pulse dive. I think perhaps you got a bad Carrot however because my soil is quite hot and the carrot has performed flawlessly for years now. Any thoughts on why the mi-6 is deeper than the Mi-4, I thought they were identical except for the pairing function?
I just notice on my $20 GP Amazon pinpointer that it is slow in detecting.... YOU CAN NOT MOVE IT VERY FAST, IF YOU DI YOU WILL MISS TARGETS IF YOU GO TO FAST! Check it out with passing a coin by it... I thought I was going crazy as I wag it across the sand and it would not detect a quarter on the surface unless I go pretty slow... Same thing with detecting a dug hole and you circle it to fast... Show way down if you have this type! Make be Jeremy can do a test on this as I need to see a comparison on how fast they react to a target not just how deep they go! Thanks Jeremy in advance! My video showing this: ruclips.net/video/lMSa3OTjcFw/видео.html
I am hard of hearing. Which pinpointer in your experience has the lowest (Hz) tone? OK- If they are all high pitched beeps, does one stand out as really vibrating more than the others? Thanks for your help
The pulse dive is working great for me in my soil here in Sc. The best part is that it pairs to my headphones and the simplex, is rechargeable, and that setup is just perfect for me. Dude, I need that Nokta holster, I bought one for my son on ebay, and it didn't come with a holster. You wanna sell the Nokta pointer and holster? I can PayPal you right now.
I cannot sell my Pulsedive because Dilek G. at Nokta gave it to me personally and I have not tested the 6" coil in the water yet. However if you FB message me your address I will ship the holster and leather digger sheath to you for free. FB me at Jeremy Paystreak.
Well Dave, glad to see you say the PD works good in SC, I have one on the way. It will probably only be used in water. However if it dont chatter up the simplex I may ise it on land some also.
@@Hardrock4040 that depends, if the pd is paired to the headphones, when switched on the simplex signal is disabled. If you don't have the headphones, you'll have to mute the simplex.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak that's very generous of you Jeremy, but I don't do F/B. thank you though. just to update, I'm still using the same setup. (simplex, headphones, and pulse dive) with no issues.
If you go through pointers like that, I wound just get the cheaper china clone of the Whites (there are other models too). From the testing I've seen, the china clones (and other models) work well, and all of them are way cheaper than the name brand pointers. Example, the White's clone is around $25 on AliExpress. I personally use the 'HS-10 pin pointer' model. It performs well (similar to my old Garrett carrot), and I only paid $38 with free s/h. It also has an lcd screen on it that shows the sensing range of the pointer's tip to the metal object, a battery level meter so I will never have a pointer go dead on me out in the field, and it's waterproof to supposedly 10 meters (around 33 feet). I've been using it for the last year and a half without issue.
Those cheap pinpointers would break in less than a month for me. I hunt 30-60 hours every week of the year. 9 volt batteries get extremely expensive when you hunt every day!!
I like the pulse dive because it pairs with the headphones with the simplex. It has worked well for me but its too big, I don't like accidently hitting settings. I also don't like how hard the power button is to press. With cold hands it gets real tough. Then there is the slow power on, it really slows me down and gets annoying. Like I said it works great for me but id but happy to change brands.
ever tryed the new Quest pinpointer? just thinking your more or less only digging parks and sidewalks that`s heavy on trash , maby it`s iron sound would help you out? i havent tryed it myself , but just a though
DD coil...locate item....reduce sensitivity till the target is non detectable....raise the sensitivity till it just comes back.....X it. It's right there. Note the meter has stabalized and more accurate. Throw away pinpointer(s). 😅
I started with a profind 35 I like it, it gets used the most only use nokta in the water i like that not land, to big and my Garrett is back up but great , so that one and profind 35 allways with me on my belt works good
Just curious why no mention of the Sun Ray probes They are hands down best of the best. I purchased first one many years ago it works fine still and just recently found one available for a machine swing and picked it up reasonable price it’s never been used!
I own three Garrett orange carrot pen pointers. All have gone in for repair, two twice. Found them to have a falsing issue and poor repair service from Garrett. Little use and no abuse.
Best way to tell if your have a good pointer is test it on a tiny tiny piece of gum foil. If it doesn't sing like its a coin it's junk. Wasted so much time looking for something when its foil So far my test Garrat carrot passed (only decent thing Garret makes) Fisher f pulse, fail Mi6 semi passed but only use in the pulse mode not the beep mode. Nokta fail Trx fail
I have tried all brands of pinpointers. Batteries get really expensive when you hunt for 40 hours a week like me. The Garret falses so bad it just like chasing a squirrel. Nokta pinpointers do not work good at all.
Hi, I wonder if you had a problem like mine. I go out occasionally to metal detect. I have had the Whites TRX Bullseye for about 5 years. But the last year, I used it, and all of a sudden, the pinpointer starts vibrating and beeping. I have to turn it off and back on to reset it. Have you had that problem and is there a fix?
The TRX needs to be repaired if it falses like that. The TRX is deep but not very durable. Repair will be about $40 plus shipping. You can buy a new better PP for about the same price.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak ~Okay thank you, that does make a lot of sense and helps me! ~So then it is between the XP MI-6 and this one:: There is an innovative pinpointer maker SphinxMD from Russia and they have released the mother of all pinpointers called in the Sphinx 03. The problem for us in the USA and the West is our sanctions make doing business cost prohibitive. ~Very comparable to the Garrett ProPointer AT. I can’t pay 260$ for a trx on eBay. I had meant to buy one or two when I could. Mine is still hanging in there even after I thought I could use it underwater and took it apart and dried it out. It has quirks but I know them. The question is what’s the closest thing I can get to trx. I know f pulse is deep but I don’t want the side hitting just as good as end.
Nokta Pulsedive and Nokta pointers probably will not detect a buck shot. Garret carrot, XP MI4, Teknetics, Minelab pinpointers should detect small pieces of lead.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak thanks for advice! So far Garret carrot failed. It detects a group of 3 pellets, but not 1 individual. I will try XP MI4 or 6 next. Thanks again!
I have to Agree with you on the Pulse Dive its Big Clunky and the Buttons are really stiff but ....I was using a First Gen Carrot the black one Prior to getting a Pulse dive and I can honestly say in the pulse dive on setting 5 does go Deeper than my first gen carrot and after some use the buttons loosen up a bit. My soil is not mineralized so that helps... Too bad Garret got the rights to the TRX probably mothball it.....
you should do more equipment videos. Belts, setups...... . There is a best metal detector and for you the weapon of choise is deus. I can not see you going back to simplex or nox. only in water perhaps. I have simplex + mi4 . One day i go for deus, but where i live, you have to have perment from coverment to metal detect and you have to register all your hunts and finds. Not yet decided if I want to commite that much. Cheers Keep on diging... good entertainment.
Never used the Pro find. It is hard to look for the buttons on round pinpointers. Pinpointers should be oval in shape so you do not have to look and see where the button is. When I pull the pinpointer out of my sheath I want my finger pushing the power button immediately without looking and fumbling with it.
I cannot wait for weeks for a pinpointer repair. I usually have 2 pinpointers new in box at all times. This is so I always know I will have enough gear to hunt every day. I will take all of my broken pinpointers in and get repaired all at once.
I like my Pulsedive and Nokta pointer. I will never buy pinpointer who has one button. It feels like amateur detector user. Plus I got one more pinpointer it is pulse probe built-in headphones 🎧. I like it as well when you can hear , but others can't.
Yeah man the end cap sucks for the pulse dive cuts depth definitely and I’m upset with the quality of the holster. I have to run my belt through all three guides which are terrible. The belt clip on it sucks balls.
I know this is a older video my vote is the TRX but I’m a weekend Warrior I dig hard on the weekends. So you talk about channels and being sponsored, that my frustration with Nokta macro right now . She’s giving everyone and there bother a free detector and offering sponsorship which is makes a lot of head’s swell . And how can a person talk bad about someone being so nice and giving them free stuff . The way the market works is your product she speak for its self away a little rant .

I actually have a shovel video I have not uploaded yet. I will try to find that video on the shovels and upload it soon.
With new pinpointers coming out in the last few years would love to see an update
I flooded my Minelab proFind 35. But for me I love the profind 35. I think I didn’t have the cap screwed on tight after I treated the O rings.
I have a Nokta pointer (the vlf 11,6 kHz) wich works well. I've always had good experience with the Garrett Carrot, especially in hot soil that gives me a slow beep. Usually would have to quick push the button once to tune that out, then work closer towards the target.
Long overdue though for a rechargeable version..
The Garrett carrot has never failed me. I've had the same one for 3 years.
Garrett is very durable.

I just learned to place my detector coil far away from the hole and live with the noise lol.
With the detector xp deus in vertical position the mi6 always pairs and work perfect. Strainge but true😁☝
I did try that but it does not work in hot soil.
Great video with lots of tips. Thank you again.
The best is the pinpointer from the lidl. Only €12,95 and far out better than the orange garrett

I like garrett pinpointed for underwater treasure hunting. Suddenly all brand are till 6 meters
Pinpointers are always a struggle for me.
Those CenTech ones work great for the money. Just don't get it wet. I burned through many of the older square pinpointers in the days.
trx is by far the best pinpointer as its the only one that detects from the tip
The Garrett will detect from the tip too if you De-tune it by turning it off, touching it to the ground away from your target, then turn it back on. It will then be sensitive only from the tip to precisely locate your target.
F pulse and tek point are my go to. Just way more powerful than my garret 🥕.
That pulse dive was intended to be used with an attachable coil for scuba diving, it wasn't necessarily intended to be used as a pinpointer as the others on the market.
It really was designed for underwater use. It is useless for land hunting.
@Paystreak Superfreak but again thank you for all you do, I nearly bought one.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak you are wrong on that one. 19 rings and 76 silver coins in 6 months use.
Which one is deeper for gold under/in rock those two xp mi-4 or garrett pro pointer at? Can you help me please
The Fisher F-Pulse is indistructable in my HOT southern red soil. Works first time every time.
I heard the F-pulse will hit on fine gold. Might be good for prospecting.

I just picked up the tekpoint. I'm a beach hunter and it's been great. Can't wait for a soil hunt.
Nice!!
Just to be clear, the Fisher F pulse and tekpoint are identical except for color
I was just using my new Nokta accupoint live on tiktok and it fails in cold weather. It's 30 degrees and would not work just kept beeping. Turned off and on and continues just beeping. This had a full charge too. I grabbed my Garrett carrot and it worked perfectly.
That is good to know!! Some detectors struggle in cold weather.
the new nokta pinpointer might be out soon
the best pinpointer is the one you have with you, when you need one! ha! ha!
which pinpointer do you recommend alongside a equinox? thanks
Teknetics TEK-POINT is my favourite as same as the F-pulse and the deepest
Great video thanks. I think I'm going to order a Deus MI 6.
Glad I could help
Thank you, I figured instead of ask you a question lets see if you already answered it in a video and sure enough. Looking for a pinpointer to mate with the legend and I see you covered that too, ill probably take it swimming.
Which pinpointer is closest to the TRX?
Some needs to clone them. Doesn't look like Garrett intends to.
You just saved me a lot of money Jeremy. Thank you

Mr. Paystreak Superfreak i need the best pin pointer for battery usage. I ended up buying a pinpointer off brand and not surprisingly it dies within 30 minutes of use with a brand new battery.
And the pulsedive I have may get a 4” coil for swimming holes but ain’t usin it for land lol
Very smart not using it for land hunting. All it takes is about maybe 20 minutes and you realize it will absolutely not work for land hunting.
Just use MI--6 unpaired with no vibration and Garrett Carrot as know it will work spare. MI-6 just feels right
have you ever opened up an pin pointer to fix it your self? i have with the teknetics Tek pointer as i had to open it up and re solder the mini coil and also glue and tape the coil so it does not move and break again.
Man I wish someone would pick up the TRX line and remake it. That tip-only detection is so much more up my alley than the 360 detection.
I use psychic power to pinpoint which is why I`m looking for a good pinpointer.
I guess I need the mi6 because I have a D2 but I really like
Using as a stand alone
I have both Mo6 and Mi4 and do not pair it to the Deus machines. I have not had good reliability with the connection to the deus machines

The Mi6 and Mi4 are identical, the MI6 has a wireless module
I am hard of hearing. Which pinpointer in your experience has the lowest (Hz) tone? OK- If they are all high pitched beeps, does one stand out as really vibrating more than the others? Thanks for your help
Garret has very strong vibrate. XP Mi6 has very low tones and is quiet but vibrate is not strong.
Use one which vibrate instead.
XP MI-4 for me. Very durable and durable in ironized soil.
I really like the XP pinpointers. The pitch tones work very well in mineralized ground.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak use rechargeable batteries
I like the pulse dive because it pairs with the headphones with the simplex. It has worked well for me but its too big, I don't like accidently hitting settings. I also don't like how hard the power button is to press. With cold hands it gets real tough. Then there is the slow power on, it really slows me down and gets annoying. Like I said it works great for me but id but happy to change brands.
When you get a better pinpointer you will realize how horrible the Pulsedive is. The Pulsedive may work, but it does not work well.
ever tryed the new Quest pinpointer? just thinking your more or less only digging parks and sidewalks that`s heavy on trash , maby it`s iron sound would help you out? i havent tryed it myself , but just a though
My hot soil has lots of iron oxides. It will probably just go crazy in spots with lots of nails.
I have 2, an old Tinytec and a new Garrett Pro Pointer AT.
DD coil...locate item....reduce sensitivity till the target is non detectable....raise the sensitivity till it just comes back.....X it. It's right there. Note the meter has stabalized and more accurate. Throw away pinpointer(s). 😅
Forgive me for not knowing, what does the term "hot soil" mean in metal derecting?
Hot soil means highly mineralized ground. Usually clay is mineralized, My soil is high in iron oxides which makes most detectors go bat crap crazy!!

Fisher f pulse, fail
Mi6 semi passed but only use in the pulse mode not the beep mode.
Nokta fail

I can’t pay 260$ for a trx on eBay. I had meant to buy one or two when I could. Mine is still hanging in there even after I thought I could use it underwater and took it apart and dried it out. No pinpointer is like the TRX. TRX is not a durable!! I really like the Mi4/Mi6. Button is difficult to push but is does go deep.
Do you know if any pinpointer can detect a lead pellet from a shotgun in the meat?
Nokta Pulsedive and Nokta pointers probably will not detect a buck shot. Garret carrot, XP MI4, Teknetics, Minelab pinpointers should detect small pieces of lead.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak thanks for advice! So far Garret carrot failed. It detects a group of 3 pellets, but not 1 individual. I will try XP MI4 or 6 next. Thanks again!

Never used the Pro find. It is hard to look for the buttons on round pinpointers. Pinpointers should be oval in shape so you do not have to look and see where the button is.
