It may be an oldie but it is good. This is one of your videos I missed and it's 3 years old. But it doesn't matter because there is always a feeling of freshness attached to your work. Plus, it's good to see Grizzly again.
It's 6 years old, but I do enjoy your videos i learn a bit on all of your videos. You have the ability to produce really great videos and I do understand it takes a lot longer than just the time on the video it is good to see your enthusiasm when you are enjoying yourself
yes Chris very encouraging thank you I have been doing the same thing today up at the Yuba River in Northern California with my Garrett pinpointer and digging out crevices I found about a hundred gold flakes no nuggets yet thanks again mate
Hi Chris , we are lucky over here in Canada as far as snakes are concerned . The only poisonous snake we have here is the Rattle Snake , I've caught 2 this year and moved them to a safer place not far from the area that I found them . Another great video and thanks again for sharing your experiences .
highenergyog got to love only having to worry about one type of snake! Lol. You wait till golden orb season. That's a living nightmare. Have a google of the golden orb spider.
Catching up on your older videos and I have a few questions. Have you tested your pinpointer on those small specks and if so, what is the smallest it can detect? What brand pinpointer do you use NOW? Keep up the good work sir!
Only largish nuggets can be detected with a pin pointer, 1/2 gram up. I use a Minelab pro find 35 www.minelab.com/accessories/pro-find-35?VogusProspecting
JUST the video I was looking for😭 been wanting to find an underwater detector/pin pointer and honestly have no idea where to start, any recommendations?
You have a decent presentation but I want to see you use the metal pointer on those micro particles to see if it sounds off. Don’t just pointed in the water, pointed at everything you find, please. Thank you.
You cant detect fine gold with a pin pointer, I am currently holding a Garrett Pro Pointer and a glass vial of gold flakes (0.8 grams of small flakes). It will not sense it, even point blank (touching the end of pointer). A 0.95 gram nugget will be detected when stuck in the pointers face; and 2.4 gram nugget can detected 1.5 inches away from the pointer.
I don't know if you have heard of minelabs new PROFIND 35 pinpointer with discrimination ferris Id and water proof to 3 metres. This would be perfect.👍
A little gold is always nicer than no gold for the day! Would be interesting to see what that creek would be like after a big flood, stir things up a bit and re-deposit the yellow
Ahh well they reckon it's going to be pretty wet the next few months, so you never know. It would be fair to guess you will be there the very next day if a torrent goes through there. We got a bit of rain up here through the week so will be checking out a few spots tomorrow, was running so slow last weekend it barely ran the sluice.
it's been interesting watching you with the pointer because I've been thinking the same thing for a while but have been a tight arss and haven't got one yet.
Nice one Chris. Love the movies. Hey go to woolies buy a jar of their mixed white nylon cable ties in clear plastic jar. Take em home, and tip em in a draw somewhere . Get a knife and go cut two bits of garden hose 2foot and one 4 inches shorter. Make Two holes offset on Same Side of Lid. I use a step drill. Drill abit undersize or Perfect. Pull both hoses through the shorter an inch, the longer half length of jar . Screw lid on . You now have the best portable wet crevace clean up dredge. 100percent legal in any state. And soo good for that small last stuff at bottom of clean out. Keep swirling that into your pan. Keep jar hoses Up weather on side or vertical. You can adjust hose length for personal preference. Yeah you will get the odd mouth full, till you get use to it. Then hardly never. If you cleaned up properly, you wont get blocked. If i get a bad one i lay hose on rock and hit with hammer. Smashing rock. Hope you see a difference. I did. Maybe you could do a video on it and show others. Thanks mate.
might not have been a hotrock. could of been a specimen. ive had it happen b4. lil bot of gold in a bigish rock. whatching it slowly move out the pann as it came over the lip of the pann it fliped the rock flashed bit of colour as it fell into deep water.
Vo-Gus Prospecting I would try cracking a few rocks open where the quartz is for a look.I found some small bits of quartz with gold inside it last night!there's always new gold coming out into the system!gotta come from somewhere!check out mudfossil channel.he Can explain where to find gold exactly.he's good.
Keep It Real different pinpointers have different abilitys. Things like water proofing, sensitivity, durability and I've just been told that some have discrimination settings.
Vo-Gus Prospecting ah yep! I've got a 12mm krevice king. Check em out on ebay if you haven't already. Ps. Love watching ya vids man. Keeps the Gold fever alive in me haha 😂

Im more curious how much flour would be needed to set it off

Jan Johannes Smith it's a start, even if you only find nails it'll help you identify the gold traps.

Great video Chris mate , smart thinking to get in there while hissing Sid was having a lie in
Always a lovely feeling when gold stares back at you.
Nice hat, I shoot a Mathew’s myself but after trying the nexus by prime I may have to get one lol. I think I’m getting a pin pointer now though!!!

Was it a garret pro pointer or pro pointer 2?
@@jordonmcallister8819 No the old black one
This pinpointer finding very small metal pieces. i liked it.
What is this pinpointers name ?
I don't know if you have heard of minelabs new PROFIND 35 pinpointer with discrimination ferris Id and water proof to 3 metres.

Golden Turd that would be perfect!
at 1min and 2 sec on your left above the creek there is exposed river rock try digging in that at the point of where it hits the bed rock
Thomas Davis that's not river rock unfortunately. That's mine tailings. The whole bottom of the gully is full of them.
Oh ok thanks for your reply i do like your Vids
A little gold is always nicer than no gold for the day! Would be interesting to see what that creek would be like after a big flood, stir things up a bit and re-deposit the yellow
Aussie Chris after the last big flood I found 5 nuggets.
But it's a very rare event that it happens. 170mm of rain nearly had it following lol

Same here :)
Hi Chris, I noticed your team Hoyt hat. I have one myself. Do you shoot a bow?
OK, OK, you got your ounce. Now you are just showing off 😁
Cool Video again 👍
BallaratDragon don't worry I didn't weight this lot because I think my scales would struggle to find it! Lol
any chance on doing a video testing the pointer like you did with the detector a few months ago
The new video I'm about to upload has a small bit at the end that shows the depth of the pinpointer I use. But I think I can put something together
Nice one Chris. Love the movies.

monsterbs have heard of this one from a mate.
I'm thinking of just putting a hose reduction on my hand pump. But you know, big 'to do' list.
Only watched half way. Not sure I ever saw you using the pin pointer, which was what your topic was about.
Yeah. After a few minutes of not seeing him use the pin pointer I stopped watching.

Jefferson Monson well there you go.
Just curious. Why arent you using your mine lab pan lately
Chuck R I go through phases where I like to mix things up. I actually really like these pans even though there terrible. Lol
Hello.that crevice with all the quartz in the rock looks like it will av gold all through it!
Rastaman Ralph this was a serious mine area, unfortunately they got most of the reefs.

One one one nice one ...got to get a pinpointer before the next trip
Does pin pointer cant detect small gold dust
Friend help, Which pinpointer is very good for detecting small medium and large gold
Hi Chris thank's for another great video mate nice work. Have you done any testing there up higher away from the water line?
Johnathon Smith in short yes. With a detector.
Is one pin pointer better than others? Or are they all pretty much the same?
Keep It Real different pinpointers have different abilitys. Things like water proofing, sensitivity, durability and I've just been told that some have discrimination settings.
Vo-Gus Prospecting ,
Ahh. Ok. Thank you. 👍🏼
Nice video, thanks for sharing it.
Great video again thanks .
