I know this is a far stretch, but I would like to see the OG voice actors come back and voice the Beast Wars characters
It'd be amazing, but Netflix doesn't employ union voice actors, so it'll be cheap amateurs taking over like we had with Siege.
They couldn’t get David Kaye, but they managed to get the drunk guy outside the studio to play Beast Megatron and that’s pretty cool too.
@@quibblings It's Hasbro and Rooster Teeth that didn't want to employ union actors, since they already spent a lot for the animation, which is provided by Polygon Pictures.
@Slimine Prime S7 he's not. Check out the interview me and some friends did on @oneshallstand1986 's channel. He didn't even know about the show. They also already recorded every line for all the seasons a year and a half ago. David Kaye wasn't a part of it

You can almost hear the soothing voice of David Kaye just oozing out of this plastic purple monster. The fact this figure exists is a blessing. 🙏
That crouch though gives me anxiety! 😬 And that Megatron impression, I love it! 😆💜
Just got this for Christmas, its awesome! The transformation is easy enough, however there's a lot of snapping parts together and it's softer plastic, so it's more like wedging than snapping. Also splitting the iron diaper to extend the legs out is a literal pain, you need a tool to pry it open. If you try to force it, you risk breaking your figure. But once you get it transformed. Of God is it awesome!
I'm dreading how the Kingdom animated series will strip the charm and charisma from the Beast Wars characters.
They probably wont even blow up Waspinator

I can't wait for them to make Airazor a character with the opposite problem, a lot of screen time, no personality.
I'm pretty late, but a few things regarding the transformation: I find that when you separate the torso from the waist, it's helpful to pull FORWARD (along an imaginary arrow sticking out of his belly) and up, which causes a few tabs to slide out and lets it separate easier. Second, for splitting the "crotch" (ow) I actually used hobby nippers to clip off one of the tabs that holds it together. Trading a miniscule bit of stability for a massively reduced chance of tearing the legs off is worthwhile in my opinion.
Damn, what a good time to be a collector.
To have Fantastic representations of the Movie, G1 & Beast War characters in retail within the past few years would've been a lucid dream back before SS & the WFC line.

Love that the transformation is almost identical to the transformation on the Classics/Henkei Megatron. It seems that old things manage to work their way in to modern creations.
I'm a child of G1, have never seen Beast Wars - but when I saw this guy at Target I just HAD to have it!! The waist separation was a nightmare going from robot to T-Rex, I really thought I was going to rip the whole thing in half. Hopefully it gets easier as I practice. I think it looks amazing in both modes, one of the cooler figures I've picked up recently for sure. Thanks for your great videos!
I want to thank you so much for your video on Megatron (T-Rex/Beast Wars) from the Transformers Kingdom War for Cybertron! Your video was incredibly helpful and actually allowed me to finally transform him from robot to T-Rex (despite the instruction booklet, I was basically stuck/stymied on step 9). I’ve only recently gotten back into Transformers (but having been “on the fence” for a few months) and I’ve purchased a few of the toys/ characters in the last few days. I’m excited to see what other characters they reintroduce into the line. You have earned yourself a new fan, and subscriber!

Well, there was the occasional oddballs, like combiner wars Armada Megatron and Siege Galaxy Upgrade Prime, but overall, yeah, more generations pleas Hasbro
This figure looks great, can't wait to have him. However "towering over Megatron as he should" makes no sense, he was about the size of OPs head in the original show, he technically should be battle master size next to Megs.

Me, an intellectual: *A leftover piece from the alternate mode of this transforming robot that forms as a shell for said robot and is not hidden to the point where we cannot see it.*
I just bought the figure today, and straight out of the box, the outer skin layering on the tail was already bent at the corners and no amount of tweaking actually helped. Besides that and an extremely tight knee joint on the right leg, overall it is an extremely well design figure and for sure, this one has definitely earned its place in my display

Just a note - If they want a unique name for BW Megatron and not just "Beast Wars Megatron", I think they should go with "Megatronus Rex".
I have a question. What was your experience with the kingdom beast wars megatron and primal compared to the earthrise megatron and optimus

Just got this one myself, really great figure aside from the spectacular kibble backpack. Really fun to transform for sure. I hope the worries about the PVC outer material drying & cracking as it ages turn out to be a nothingburger

Wonderful review. I'm not a fan of the kibble, but the engineering is pretty good so I can overlook it.
I really appreciate the warning about this figure's potential long-term durability problems.

Absolutely love you channel. I’ve been looking forward to this figure since Hasbro announced it 😁
My only two problems with the figure are the positioning of the right arms elbow joints. I feel like the head should be facing a different direction when he bends his elbow up and down. And that you can’t take the tail off of the left arm. Other than that this is an amazing figure!
I look forward for Hasbro and TakaraTomy to get to work on Studio Series versions of the Beast Wars and Beast Machines characters.

Great review. I'd love to see how tall he is compared to a TR leader class. I'm sure his mass more than makes up for any height difference, but it's still a comparison I'd like to see.

just finished rewatching BW last night. This Megatron was awesome and balls out insane by the end of the series too. The whole Covenant of Primus thing they did in the last episode was kind of strange though. Feels like they did that just to quote Pulp Fiction. Not that I'm complaining, the idea of Megatron and Optimus being holy warriors on opposite sides was something unique at least.

The trex mode is disappointingly small, was hoping he’d be taller than voyager in trex mode without standing straight up
It's supposed to scale with other Kingdom beast wars figure
I honestly like the proportions of the kingdom figure better than the masterpiece.

Thanks for the transformation help! I was stuck halfway and would have never figured out the pulling apart of the crotch and pulling upwards of the torso. Unfortunately, I broke a small n insignificant piece while trying to tab the back onto the body but definitely One of the most complex transformations I’ve encountered. But with such great engineering, it’s to be expected as this figure did not seem as a cut n dry piece. I love the robot mode! Hasbro has really impressed me with this one. 10/10. The chest sculpt in robot mode is truly remarkable! This piece will look great with Predaking!

A spudger is the solution for both the leg separation and the waist separation issues. It sure saves the joints for many of my Masterpiece Transformers as well.
This seems to be one of the definitive versions of Beast Wars Megatron! I may have to find this on eBay and pick it up!

Nice, Rattrap can fit between his Legs when standing up, just like in that one episode when he just walked underneath Megatron between his Legs :D. The yellow belly is carried over back from the original toy from 1996, in the show it was darker and more a of a orange strip on the bottom. Masterpiece figure and anniversary reissue have that.

He's a purple dinosaur. A cartoony look would be preferable over a "realistic" look as a realistic approach with bright shiny plastic just looks that more like a toy than a collectible.

i just got mine today and love it only one draw back is right out the box one leg is already loose for some reason but keeping it bent in a pose makes it fine other than that very nicely done and great add on to my tigatron one

It's a pity they mismatched the colors of the hinge panels of his back in dino mode. They're such an eyesore.
14:45 just rewatching and for the glue snapping, would that be easily fixable with some superglue on the underside? I've got some very strong glue which has allowed me to bond PLA, PETG and even metals together. Or is it the outer skin layer that might snap?

Regarding the rubbery PVC, it feels a lot like what they use on newer car interiors, like the dash. if so, it should be pretty resistant to temperatures and not degrade.

I'm not a Beast Wars fan, but I picked up this one yesterday and really like the figure. I just wish it didn't have the head turn into one of his hands. I know that's a G1 holdover, but even back then I thought it was really weird.

I also cancelled my pre-order. This just made me secure in my decision. The colors and dino head sculpt are what gave me second thoughts. It just doesn't look like Meg's dino face! And that yellow and green...ew.
If you do damage the rubber part of Megatron's body early on try hitting it with a quick blast of hot air. Very quick and I wouldn't recommend doing it often... but it will cause the rubber to get soft and return to normal position with no stress marks.

What an amazing release finally!
Just got mine and it’s super hefty and nice to hold also the hips on mine are a little easier to wiggle out so I have no worries about anything breaking and bring the chest forwards then it will just slide out fairly easy
