JP93’s helmet is in the shape of a cowboy hat, his eyes are in the shape of sunglasses, and his rifle are inspired by the film's paleontologist Alan Grant and game warden Robert Muldoon!!

The headsculpt is brilliant, though I would have liked the panel with the Jurassic Park logo to be able to flip around to an autobot insignia or something.

If Hasbro thinks I'm going to shell out such a huge sum of money just to buy a third t-rex Megatron figure, they're absolutely right.
Only the body is the same.
The robot head is different.

I skipped Megatron entirely, though I did get T-Wrecks because his coloration reminded me of Buddy from "Dinosaur Train," which my son used to love.
Is it sad to say, now that I have Megatron and T-Wrecks in their Beast Modes that Megatron looks like Barney?

JP93's head and weapon look like they're modeled on Robert Muldoon, Jurassic Park's game warden from the original movie. The tan thing on the top of the head is supposed to be his brimmed hat, and the weapon is his shotgun.
I was two seconds away from posting the same thing, but I figured someone did. I was kind of floored when he said he didn't know what they were going for and it is a character right out of the movie.
Same, it irks me that each person I’ve seen review this doesn’t recognize the head sculpt as a Muldoon tribute

@@LostViking1978 honestly, I thought it was an Alan Grant likeness. Can’t remember Muldoon wearing sunglasses tbh. Anyway, it’s clear that the headsculpt refers to a JP character, whoever it may be specifically.
I appreciate JP93 as a robot mode in the sense that it keeps in line with some of the G2 robots that were still coming out in the '90s. Classic car chest and wings, and even relatively bright colors. It's a great throwback, and I feel that it's almost exactly what they would have done back then for this colab

Y'know, I'm kinda surprised they didn't also retool Dinobot for a velociraptor character for this collab. The t-rex is iconic for Jurassic Park, but the velociraptor has practically become a dueteragonist, in terms of iconic dinosaurs in the series. Though that's probably more-so because of Jurassic World, and this is solely Jurassic Park.
I think it's because the dinobot alt mode isn't that great and if they did that (frankly lackluster) velociraptor people would be asking why they didn't do the perfect t rex instead
Well I didn't mean "why did they do the t-rex, instead of the velociraptor?". The way I was asking was supposed to come off as "why didn't they also include a velociraptor?".

I would love to see Hasbro do the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo retooled from the Earthrise deluxe Ironhide/ Ratchet mould or see them do the KITT car from Knight Rider retooled from the Earthrise Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mould

i think that Windcharger's alt mode would fit more KITT, since both are based on the 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am
As much as I absolutely love the Sideswipe mold but I definitely think Sunstreaker for KITT because we have like 5 million different sideswipes lol. And the Mystery Machine would be AMAZING! I absolutely love Scooby Doo! Also thinking the A-Team van would be cool or Magnum P.I.’s Ferrari

I think Rexys robot mode is kinda fitting in a way. Very plain with little personality. I imagine a robot whose beast mode is as animalistic as Rexy would be devoid of personality and keeping her basic like that gives the vibe that there's no intelligence no compassion. Only instinct
Everytime someone says Rexy I always think of the T-Rex Skeleton from Night at the Musuem
15:30 it's a robotic version of Robert Muldoon (the clever girl guy), that's supposed to be a ranger hat not an helmet
It would be great if we could see a little cup of water inside jp93 vehicle mode as an homage to the first Jurassic park
I hope they give us a Cybershark/Sky-byte figure with a moveable tail and head like that of Kingdom Predacon Megatron.
They could do a Jaws crossover with that.
They should make more Transformers Universal Studios crossover figures

I wonder if a xenomorph transformer could work.
My guess is they've kept JP93's transformation simple for the Jurassic Park fans who might not be so accustomed to Transformers and complex transformations.

I love this double-figure pack and the amount of detail and effort it was added to it. I personally call Tyrannocon a “she” because she is female in the films and it does make sense. Anyways, JP-93 is stunning despite a few of his nit-picky flaws, and his head sculpt and transformation is awesome! Definitely worth it to add them to the collection for any crossover lovers!!!

I'm honestly digging the JP-93 head sculpt. Fitting park range vibes. Brimmed ranger hat and sunglasses. Might have been nice to try and tie him back to Muldoon specifically, but it works for me.

I would love a collaboration with 'Fast & Furious' franchise. Just imagine a Charger that transforms into Dom, a Skyline in Brian, a Jeep Gladiator that splits into Tej and Roman, an Aston Martin for Shaw, and an armored truck for Hobbs.
Fast and The Furious would be a great collaboration! The Charger and Skyline Transformers would be way too cool!

I was thinking that Jurassic Park would collaborate with Transformers someday, but I would never thought that it turned into reality. My dream has came true.
Given how much effort was put in this alt mode mold, i really believe they did this design knowing the collab was coming. This mold seems far more accurate to JP than beast wars, and with the effort put in, i think it would look way different if it was designed as beast wars first.

The head is a reference to Allen grant's hat and sunglasses. As a huge fan of jurrasic park and transformers I loved it.

I love how the gap in Kingdom Megatron’s teeth is almost perfectly placed to match Rexy’s missing tooth.

I just realized they missed a chance to put the JP logo on the T Rex. Woulda been a cool throwback to the old toys.

Good thing Dinobot's beast mode is normal colors to be relatable to Jurassic Park. I want to display JP robot mode next to Dinobot beast mode like "Clever girl.(or boy)"

My t Rex robot head doesn't go all the way down, it seems to have some extra plastic that prevents it from snapping into place. Does anyone else have that problem?

As a jurassic park fan, i will be buying this set for my stop-go animations despite their flaws. Suprisingly i don't think tyrannocon rex is that bad even though i'm not much of a fan of the beast wars/ kingdom predacons and maximals. And i really like jp93. So yea, imma get these
Mine came in today and on tyrannocon there are a few things that are messed up. Is there a way to reach out to hasbro and get a new one shipped or do I just have to live with the messed up pieces?
The head looks like the Australian hat the game warden wore and his weapon looks like the shotgun he had when hunting the raptors towards the end.
I hope hasbro does a knight rider crossover with kitt and the semi rig. And air wolf helicopter and starsky and hutch grand torino
You have enough figures to make your own series.
The explorer figure is meant to be an homage to Muldoon. The shotgun should be an obvious hint to that, but the face scuplt is the more obvious one when you look at it. Not only does it have Muldoon's hunting hat (I.e the creamy helmet mentioned in video), but the robot even has the same serious, tight-lipped expression muldoon expresses when focused on something.
Also, youtube's algorithm can eat a cloaca.. you can't even reference a photo of actors without having your comment deleted.

Would you guys be disappointed if the rotb2 beast megatron is a gun metal or a darker purple?
I believe the head is meant to represent Sam Neill with his tan safari/outback hat and wearing sunglasses. The shotgun is a SPAS 12 semi auto and pump shotgun (depending on the cartridge load) that is famous for jamming.
The shotgun is modeled after a spas-12 an Italian shotgun that could be pump action or semi automatic in this configuration the stock is folded on top of the gun and on the real thing it can fold down to form a solid stock the spas-12 is one of my favorite shotguns as it’s so iconic
The head sculpt of JP93 kind of reminds me of the hunter guy who was in charge of the raptors. "Clever girl"
You made a great point about 9 to 10 mins in about leaving it dinosaur mode which doesn't appeal to me, like I said not into Jurassic Park, I do like JP93
It's crazy how Tyrannocon looks fecking MASSIVE in Rex mode when JP93 is a truck, but their robot modes look relatively close in size.
I hope JP93's mold will be reused for characters like Downshift (TF Cybertron colour scheme)
That Rexy Robot head reminds me of the Machine Wars Skywarp botcon figure.

The Red & Black body of Tyrannocon (I think) is referencing the original JP logo and JP93 has a shotgun and hat which replicates the look of the hunter Muldoon :)
I also suspect this was intended for MIB packaging collectors and not really intended for use as toys/transforming... That may also help explain why JP93 is a bit rubbish in robot mode and they couldn't be bothered to name him other than give the initials of the movie and the release year
Two of my favorites, Jurassic Park and Transformers.
Tyrannocon Rex is a female Decepticon. She was referred to as female in the reveal for this set, and the ad copy calls her "she" as well.
My brother says that the leg of it breaks, can you tell me if its true??!
JP93s head reminds me of Freddy Krueger, while Tyrannocon Rex's head reminds me of Age of Extinction Grimlock.
The crossover I needed
When I saw the thumbnail I was like “That’s Kingdom Megatron.”
That one is sitting on my mantle with Primal’s sword in his mouth.
It’s a great figure. Keeps enough of the 90s look while having its own look.
Edit: I think if they make the TRex mode silver she would look perfect in robot mode. For this dino color, a nice light gray with red accents would suit her better than just red and black.

Awesome collaboration but I feel like they could have given jp93 a better name considering the new set actually has the 1993 jeep Sahara in it but they probably weren’t expecting to make another one still cool though one of my favorites in my collection
The head for Tyrannocon reminds me of the Combiner Wars leader class Starscream head just with a visor which I think looks pretty cool

This set is great! Tyrannocon is great in t rex mode but robot is mediocre. JP93 is great! I hope that hasbro retools JP93 into g1 skids

The Frankenstein Monster should be Autobot X from G1 where spike's mind was placed into a Autobot made of spare parts

JP93's head sculpt is Alan Grant the main character of movies one and two! ! That neato Dorito!
He was only in 1 and 3 , it was Ian Malcolm who was in 1 and 2. Also it's Robert muldoon that they are referencing not Alan Grant. Think about it , the hat and weapon JP3 comes with coincidence ? I think not.
